I've enjoyed this little tour. It's brought back some old memories of familiar places. I used to do Chapman's Peak regularly, going to the grandparents in Simons Town for Sunday dinner.

That's hot weather - but I think better than freezing. Your video looks fantastic. Thanks.

Enjoyed all of these tour video's. A beautiful country with amazing views. My challenge to you is to find the same sign back in uk, Leopards for next 14 miles 😀🤣 Loved the video's 👍

Thanks. I’m glad I got them done, but I think they could be better.
I suppose the challenge is when travelling alone, for the first time to a place, without really knowing what I’ll find, and when it is a holiday rather than going to make videos so my focus is on the riding and the videos come second. That said, I hope they give a taste of what it’s like and I’m glad they’ve found an audience, even if it’s a small one!

I am heading out to Cape Town and then down to Sedgefield in March. Was speaking to Stephan at TRF night Tuesday. He suggested I should check out your vids. I can’t wait.

Awesome! If you drop me a note to admin@peakmotorcycles.com happy to pass on a few things that I would definitely do differently next time.

Bains Kloof Pass: Stunning, rewarding for picking a good line and the boxer engine is leisurely fast. Great road, Andre! The Cape of Good Hope is really popular, and I was one of them years ago. Regarding base layer: I tried a merino shirt last August on ACT Romania (35 degrees for two weeks) with my Transalp 600 and was pleasantly surprised. You can really use it for several days without being sent off the playground by your friends ;-) I wear a protection jacket over it and a light jacket on top, so it's a warm (not hot) combitation. You seem to like it a lot fresher with a mesh jacket and lots of windflow. Welcome back to an English winter, Günter/Nürnberg

Yup, I’m not missing the SA summer at all…. Not one bit… ok, there’s a few things, heat, sun, blue skies, desert roads, not being dark at 5pm. I’m not missing the load shedding though.

@@PeakMotorcycles Take the best parts of ZA home, Andre, and keep the memories in your heart. While enjoying the cooler UK temperatures and constant power delivery. Hope we have lots of rain today and tomorrow so I could use the Transalp on Sunday on salt-free roads. Ongoing railway strike in Germany...
