I’m a drummer who was taught (as I now teach my students) to play through the drum, i.e. you don’t suddenly stop your arm, wrist and hand when you strike the drum, you absolutely follow through. Especially when crashing a cymbal (which most mimics a dart throw) I’m throwing my arm out striking the cymbal and following through completely. Thanks again 🎯 🎯🎯
This is incredible! I myself found similarity to basketball throw since I'm good at basketball free throw. And it helps me at dart. Later I abandoned this idea as silly 😊
Hey man, what would you suggest is the best way to find the right darts? I'm currently a beginner using brass but I want to go on to tungsten but don't want to spend money on a dart that I don't like the feel of. But also don't want to pay 250 quid to get a fitted darts 😂
The best way is to be able to go to a store that lets you try out darts. If you can’t do that, ask people to try out their darts and see what works best. If you know no one with darts and no store, then I’d buy a few sets of cheap darts to see what works best then find a tungsten set that’s similar
There is no correct way to throw or best way to hold a dart. Simply watch how Spellman holds his dart and aims and watch Ram Guevara. Watch Buntz they are all different. Then watch the top PDC players and see how these players stack up against them. They have no business talking about how to hold a dart or throw one. Like a shoe, find a dart that feels good then throw it a lot and see where nature takes you. Do not listen to some player tell you this is right or wrong. Only you will know so do not screw yourself up trying to do what they say!
There is no right or wrong way, and I say that all the time in my videos, doesn’t mean hearing tips here or there can’t help someone improve their throw. Go be mad somewhere else 😂
I don't think you know what you're taking about. While you are correct there is no one way to throw the dart, there are common themes that all players need to incorporate into their throw that ALL top players do, albeit in their own way.
