Bro keep making vids I have 2016 is300 awd and I needed to find a vid on spark plugs since I’m doing the rr racing tune, intake and replacing the spark plugs as well. This vid helped a lot before I ordered everything. Thing sounds sick with the exhaust
Carson… man does this mean a lot and I so appreciate the love!! I will continue to make videos and hope to help others like yourself! I am beyond the moon that this helped you out because I feel that we don’t get the attention that BMW, AUDI, & MERC does. Lexus can be sneaky and it’s exactly what I’m working towards! Make sure to sub and like and tell you friends and family to sub. Next videos will be installs of the rear diffuser, front lip and a separate video on sequential turn signal lights. Stay tuned brutha!
Omg I wanted to look this up for my own knowledge and also the dealership wanted to charge 800$ for spark plug replacement!!! That was insane to me. Also how many miles are you at?
@@hammad159. hey! Yes you can do this yourself AND replace your spark plugs with better plugs then what the dealership would use and charge you. I’m at 93k miles. Hopefully my video has helped you out! If it has I would appreciate a sub and like on the video. Furthermore feel free to ask me any other questions you may have and if I can be of help I’ll definitely help you out
@@longasslastname do you mean a wrench to remove the screw that holds the coil? If that’s the case I used an extension on a socket wrench along with a universal joint.
I went with the recommended torque parameters which came on the box of spark plugs I used. I can't exactly remember but the spark plug box should show that information. You can also check the manufactures website.
Great video. I have the RR Racing tune installed on my 2016 IS300 F-sport, but it's time for a plug change. What exhaust are you running? Really like the sound on the video
Thank you and glad this video helps!!! I’m running the Remark Axleback and absolutely love it!! I also have a short on my RUclips I recently uploaded if you want to here for of the exhaust. Check it out.
@@leojohnwayne1422 that depends. I believe, don’t quote me on it and you would have to check your car’s maintenance records, but I believe the OEM original plugs are good for up to a 60-100k miles. @@leojohnwayne1422 there are all kinds of fluids. When it comes to fluids I can tell you I let the Lexus dealership do that. On a 2014 250 I truly do not know. I didn’t have to take anything off when I did mine so you should be able if the engine is the same as mine to do it in a similar fashion
@@ultramotivecoffee did some more reading up on it and took s good look under the hood. Definitely do need to remove the manifold. Simple job is so much work
Yes it’s still a good thing depending on mileage. Now being stock and depending on how hard you drive you may not need it but on my cars and in my experience when I get over 100k I change my plugs out even if stock. I did it early on my Lexus because I wanted the maximum out of the tune.
You know this is a very good question. I don’t know if they eventually did or not I know in the ISS it was a six speed automatic granted that’s an older generation, but also kind of a halo car for Lexus so again great question. Would anyone know the answer to this and get help Mr. Sam Phoenix out a period

As I consider an IS this video is helpful in showing how easy it is to get to the plugs. Not a hard job at all.

How did you get your ratchet on the front driver side one? I can't get any leverage I used a open wrench but no luck

How much torque did you use to tighten the spark plug?
I went with the recommended torque parameters which came on the box of spark plugs I used. I can't exactly remember but the spark plug box should show that information. You can also check the manufactures website.
You should never use a torque wrench to loosen, now you shouldn’t trust your wrench to accurately torque tighten.
