Nice! I'm 65 myself. I'm good at avoiding people and being stealthy. Starting/spawning areas however usually stop me from playing much. I always seem to get camped by a semi geared dude with a thirst for blood. If I could get past that I would play more!
I’m sure the life is probably over now, but heads up man, building a base on official is pretty much a death trap. Can’t place stuff hardly anywhere and the time and effort just makes you a sitting duck

Pick your battles as a solo , if you see a five man fully geared let them pass , you just kill someone scope the loot and pick and run don’t hang around too long etc etc , billy is the man 🖤💪
Great tips B. Particularly doing runs with no extra storage except jacket and pants. That’s great practice too if you want to eventually run as a gillie because you need to be confident surviving a long time without a backpack.
@@bwad99I love how this works for no-stamina servers as well due to the food and everything. Haven’t tried it, but it sounds like a blast surviving in the woods with a gillie suit.
the way that I play dayz solo is quite boring to other people. I like to stay low and quiet when looting town to town. I only use suppressors when engaging with zombies or stealth kill and I use unsuppressed for players. I only engage in pvp if it’s random and not planned and I have no choice but to defend myself. I don’t run towards gunfire because that’s not random if you run towards it. If I randomly bump into a player and we are literally face to face then I will engage. Usually if I run in a team, I am always talked into doing something stupid then I die but I will always say to myself if I was solo then that wouldn’t have happen. Dayz is a survival game so I like so see how long I can survive and not how quickly I can die. I also don’t talk to other players when I’m solo, even if they try to say (HI OR HELLO OR IS SOMEONE THERE) I don’t reply because dayz is a mental game and they will try to get into your head plus it gives away your position as a solo..
Refusing to talk when meeting someone in town is likely to go badly. Most agree with "No mic, no life" way of playing. Personally, I think that is only an excuse for a free murder they don't have to feel bad about. And then there is also the free loot.
maybe rethink how you're fighting them. i try to not fight them out in the open. drag them indoors to fight/trap them or at least give yourself some cover
Low and slow with cover. Move from wall to wall, cover to cover. I'm not advising people to crouch walk through an open field. The idea is to be incognito with slow, concealed movements making as little noise as possible.

I would love to join a group but the servers I use on console vary few talk. Most don't. Great video ty

the light loadout runs have completely changed how i play. i prefer quick movements and lots of stamina. it's super fun to be incognito.
