Pavlova spawns both normal zombies and ones with suits on when you arrive, The ones with out suits die straight away. So always check them when you see them to make sure they normal ones, if not then there is a player there.

Also, use your bottles on your snipers. If you're using your AK, you're most likely in a closer range battle. You're going to ruin your bottle suppressor in about 3 shots. That's nothing on an AK.
Yeah, I think they are the single strongest piece of equipment you can find on official other than a protective vest! They make the pitch black nights actually playable 🤣👍
I didn't even know about this game till a short time ago. I'm usually a fallout type guy, but this game looks right up my alley. Your videos have made for some good homework. I wanna start playing, but I was wondering if you keep your character as is if you have to stop playing and log out or do you start fresh every time.
Welcome to DayZ! If you log out, your character will remain where you were as is until the next time you log in! You can keep playing the same character for multiple sessions until you eventually die, which will send you back the coast with a new character! There is one exception which is wipes, every few months the servers get completely reset and everyone is sent back to being fresh. Also there are two types of servers in DayZ, official and community, you use 1 character for official 3rd person servers, 1 character for official 1st person servers, and then a unique character for every different community server! So for example, you could play with a buddy on community server A, then log out and play a new character on official/community server B, then go back to official server A when your friend is back and be right where you were when you logged out. This became a huge wall of text but hopefully it was a bit helpful 😅
@scholarcormier one thing I did notice though is that it starts off alot like Generation zero. Another favorite of mine and takes place in about the same area if I'm not mistaken.
Night time, map is Anastara, modded rainstorm during which you can't run, very quiet run so far. 2 buddies, Alex and Mike, and I are looting a tall building. Alex, gets to the rooftop first and suddenly gets absolutely blasted with full-auto fire by 2 guys who were waiting for us on the roof. Adrenaline rushes and my remaining teammate and I run back down. We don't know what to do. We stay aiming at the stairs for a solid 15 minutes waiting for them to rush us. Mike has a revolver and I've got an SSG with 2 rounds so we don't stand many chances. Everything is quiet now, we can only hear the thunderstorm outside. Suddenly I have an idea. I pop an epipen which I had just looted and tell my guy to rush them when he hears my shot. I run outside in the rainstorm to find another building about 60m away which happens to be slightly taller. From the rooftop, I can just barely see one of the guys laying down on the other roof camping the stairs. They have no idea I'm here. I take the SSG and smack him in the head, knocking him out. The other guy gets up in shock trying to see me and starts shooting in my direction with a semi-automatic powerhouse. I catch a bullet to my leg and fall to the ground, he's about to finish me. That's when my heroic buddy enters the enemy's rooftop and starts blasting with his revolver from the hip. All hell breaks loose as the enemy answers with automatic fire in the close quarters rooftop. Somehow, Mike manages to knock him down. He picks up his gun and puts a round through the man's skull. Meanwhile, the other guy that I knocked out gets back up and is about to kill my dude from the back. I quickly shoot him in the chest with my last bullet and he drops lifeless. It all happened in 5 seconds.and the 2 guys were insanely geared. Scene was straight out of a movie. Damn I love this game. RIP Alex.
I never see anyone past spawn and I usually just die from sickness even though I have my hands covered when doing stuff and the meds I take don’t seem to help
Survival can definitely be a bit rough sometimes 😭☠️ Playing slow and trying to keep all your stats in the white will usually prevent sickness and have you cured quickly if you do get sick 👍
I was probably too focused on looting the other stuff quickly 🤣 Also, I usually forget to check the clothing because I assumed it's ruined most of the time
I play on one what is a UK vanilla one called Day Zero UK Livonia small pop but exactly like offficial. I used to play official but with the cheaters and such@WallyZ28

I'm pretty sure they only spawn when someone has been nearby for a few minutes, so if you just arrive somewhere and there's already mushrooms, it most likely means someone has been around before you recently!

Just a tip: There is no face down unconscious animation. So that dude at Zap was dead when you shot him. All the unconscious animations are face up

Those dead zombies in the gas were normal zombies so the spawn in because of you and die due to the gas so highly likely no one was there

I've been having pretty good luck not running into cheaters on official servers recently, but there is always a chance of dying to one at any moment

Why is a mushroom a sign someone is close?
I think just 1 is fine. If there is 2 or more mushrooms, then it means someone else is in the area.
Mushrooms only spawn if there is a player. So if you are running in the woods and find a mushroom there is a player nearby or there was one recently.
I'm pretty sure they only spawn when someone has been nearby for a few minutes, so if you just arrive somewhere and there's already mushrooms, it most likely means someone has been around before you recently!
