Time by Pink Floyd taken from the original stereo Lp, played in mono to hear how the bass performed on the JBL Hartsfield. High quality headphones or good sub-woofer on PC required to hear low frequencies.

I grew up in the 70's and this was the speaker I used along with a McIntosh tube amp. My uncle was president of sales for JBL. My mom sold gave this away to her sister when I left home and she gave it away to someone else. At least I still have the memory of that tremendous sound locked in my brain.Dark Side of the Moon was played over and over and it was incredible!

Is this a top loader or coffin back Hartsfield? It seems it can play pretty low bass. You got any measurements?

This is the original top loader, and the cabinet is 45 x 45 x 24, sorry for the delay I just saw your comment. The hartsfield is not just a corner horn enclosure it is a pressure horn enclosure. The woofer mounts on the top in a sealed chamber, the back wave from the woofer doesn't go through the horn , but is pressurized and forced out the front of the cabinet. The opening in the top for the woofer is also smaller than a normal opening for a 15: speaker, it is a rectangular opening to increase the pressure even more. It all works very well but this type of cabinet design is mores stressful on speaker cones. It is a one of a kind, it's not a typical horn loaded, bass reflex or sealed, it's a pressure loaded horn. i listen a pair in stereo of heartsfield at the house of my friend there are the best horn speaker with sound like hifi much better of altec voitt.. a miracle of jbl..

No querido, un Hartfield no lleva sub, lo arruinaste, comprar un hartfield para ponerle sub es tirar el dinero, compra audio pro que vas a disfrutarlo mejor y deja los clásicos para los audiofilos
