Varus is connected back to daenarys going back to season 1 with Illyrio he's the guy who helped danny and her brother from episode 1 and on and you see him and varus talking in the dungeons where Arya saw them while chasing a cat

Well, so far, as you pointed out, G the Witch was right about "someone will come who is younger and more beautiful."
The witch was right about Cersei not marrying a Prince, remember she was supposed to marry Prince Rhaegar. Robert Baratheron killed Rhaegar and married Cersei.
The witch also said Cersei would have 3 children, and the King will have 20... we know Cersei had 3 children. However, I don't believe in the Series they actually state how many bastra## King Robert had...
Even though Varys has left Kings Landing, I believe someone said Varys is a Spy Master which we the viewers at this point equals "little birds" all over Essos as well.
Varys and Illyrio Mopatis (Magister of Pentos) supported the Targaryrens restoration of power. It's Illyrio palace where Varys and Tyrion are currently and its the same palace that was in Episode1 when we first met Viserys and Daenerys.
