Skywalk is a definite recommendation, salt mines are great for visiting with kids and the whole town is full of decorations, but also history. Great place for a weekend trip.
What an amazing place!... living there is like a dream!...breathtaking views and picturisque sceneries... everything were just perfect!thank you for touring us in your beautiful Hallstatt❤🇵🇭
Of course a super informative video with great contents but above all the prettiest Hallstatt video I came across so far! Felt like I watched a movie ♥️ Will be there in 2 weeks.
Suuuuper awesome fans, still in time for sharing new Christmas gifts suggestions for the beloved ones, inspiring trips are ...wow , hoping such great videos might help
We are visiting in September 2022, and your delightful video has helped us to get familiar with the area, and given us tips to see that we had not thought of before. Thank you so much for your wonderful video!!!
Your english is helpfull to me to understand what the messeges that you are say. My english is poor but i can understand well because speak no so fast. Halsstat is really beautifful village. I hope i can go there one day to see it myself. Thhank you for your great video
Enjoyed your presentation..!! Would have been much better had the music been played down a little more as it was disturbing your super description..!!! Hoping to retire in Salzburg quite soon...!!!
We visited it in the beginning of June and also in the middle of October for perfect autumn colours. If weather is nice, October is a very nice month to visit, less tourists and still relatively warm. However, Hallstatt has its beauty in each of the season. Hope you visit this place soon
This seems to be a very nice place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
Absolutely beautiful!! Autumn is my favourite time of year! Can I ask what time of year you filmed this video please? Would love to visit when all of the colours are so rich and bold! 😍🍂🍁
Hi! So beautiful 🥰 Just want to know which week in October this video was taken? I will be visiting Austria next month 😊 Thank you for sharing your video 🙏
Thank you♥️ we were in the third week of October and the weather was just great. Of course warm clothes to be taken as temperatures fall rather steep in the evening. Have fun in Austria! Which places are you going to visit apart from Hallstatt?
Ohhh perfect! my vacation starts on the third week of October. I know one Austrian couple living close to Gmunden. I will visit them. Vienna Salzburg Hallstatt ……..
We are going mid September this year as part of our first ever train holiday (age 50 and 51) Doing uk to Brussels to Vienna to hallstst to saltzburg and Zurich and then Paris over a 2 week period. So got 2 full days in hallstat.
Thank you for making this video! This Octorber we will be in Hallstatt for 1 day . We really Love to see the World Heritage Skywalk. Can you tell me how to get there and how long from old town? Thanks in advance!!
You have two options: one to get by cable car up, search for Salzbergbahn in Google or check this website www.salzwelten.at/en/hallstatt/prices-opening-hours, another is to hike directly from old town, you should have good and solid footwear and 30-50 minutes dependent on your condition
THANK YOU for your video with such an enthusiastic narration! I really enjoyed it tremendously. Question, please: In your video, I see the leaves are changing color and you are wearing a jacket. What month was this? --- And then when you are on the lake, you are wearing short sleeves. Did you make TWO trips? (We are going in middle to late September.). Again, THANK YOU FOR THIS GREAT VIDEO!!! Excellent job! 😃✅😀
Thank you for your great feedback. Indeed, we were even three times in Hallstatt, but the video is a combination of our last two trips. One is in the of October (we were lucky, it was a beautiful warm autumn day, as we filmed at 7am to avoid crowds , I was wearing a very warm jacket but during the day it got to 15-18 degrees), another visit was in the beginning of June.
@@robindewit4656 Well, we were traveling by car with a German friend, and it rained so much while we were in Austria, that he didn't want to drive to Halstatt :-( so guess what? We never got to Halstatt, sadly. We stayed in a small town called Zell am See. It was very nice, too, but it didn't. have the crazy high number of tourists when we were there. (However, in winter, it's a ski mecca, so watch out for the number of people there during ski season.). I hope your visit in September is a GREAT experience for you!
The video is made out of our two visits in Hallstatt: one in October and the other one in the beginning of June. Both times we got up very early as the town can get crowded😊
@@tour.de.austria235 Oh okay, thank you. I’m thinking about going at the end of November and wonder if it is likely to snow then. Just want to avoid the pre snow black ice dramas if possible!! Cheers, Marg

I will go With my wife 27 th January 2024 in hallstatt. I Want to visit these 5 places.Would you please share with me how I can go from one place to another Place. Does it need to rent texi for visiting salt mine, skywalk, five fingers, & any other places. I have a budget limit that's why I ask you.Easiest way how can i cover it. Please replay me.
Hi, You can come to Hallstatt by bus or train. Train will bring you to Obertraun and you will need to take ferry to cross the lake. To visit sights in Hallstatt, you do not need the car as all is super close to each other. From which city do you arrive?
When we filmed, it was allowed, especially with Mavic mini which is below 250g, however for current regulations pls check ÖAMTC Drone map. It has all the updates
Hallstatt is an insta-spot where there is indeed not much to see and do. Most tourists stay for half an hour or so, unless they go to visit the salt mine. We were in western Austria a week ago and never got any receipt in cafes and restaurants! We felt overpriced in some of those, almost all of them. The salt mine in Hallstatt is nowhere near Vielichka in Poland near Krakow.
Hallstatt is home to 750 people, while it receives an estimated 1 million visitors every year so you can imagine what that means. The whole city of Hallstatt is an artificially inflated advertising bubble (thanks to the quite questionable UNESCO program "World Cultural Heritage"). It is overcrowded by foreign tourists (by and and large non-European ones), mostly just one-day visitors, who are brought there by large buses and taken away the same evening. As a result, the prices in the city are really inflated and quality of offered services is considerably below the Austrian standards (ranging from the low quality of food to the generally overpriced meals, accommodations, unfriendly parking policy. etc.) It is absolutely clear that we will not be ever returning to this location and would not recommend it to any of our friends. Incredibly overhyped place that's essentially just one street. Food is awful if you manage to get some, drones flying overhead during tourist season which is when anyone would go there, otherwise everything is bleak,. Good only for a quick day-trip!
Skywalk is a definite recommendation, salt mines are great for visiting with kids and the whole town is full of decorations, but also history. Great place for a weekend trip.
