Hi there, let me tell you, those bike are so beautiful bikes. From the soviet era to eternity 😎, well done made. Greetings from Argentina South America 🇦🇷
I’m curious, if it’s not supposed to be ridden without a sidecar, why there is a center stand there? For maintenance on a solo bike maybe? BTW, I would consider one of these if it wasn’t a sidecar. 😔
If you perform your own maintenance, or happen to get a flat rear tire on the trail, the center stand is used all the time on a sidecar rig to make these tasks easier!
I still want to do it. I dont own one, yet, but would it damage anything to ridden long distance without the sidecar? Could be a cool challenge to do a cross country ride with a couple of urals sans sidecars
It can be done but the steering head angle is steeper so actually you would want more steering damping and the bike has square cut tires. Look at a standard MC tire from the front it has serious curve, the URAL tires are closer to car tires. It's not a great solo but it can be done. At least the performance will be better with a few hundred pounds less weight the less rolling and aerodynamic drag.
Does the factory make solo bikes without sidecar’s ??? I can see why you would change the square-cut auto type tires. No argument there. But the front suspension , I’ve seen the same type of suspension on old BMWs in old bike magazines. So it must have some value. Also on some British bikes from the same era (60s). All without sidecars. I could understand that without the extra weight of the side car it might be too hard. But you could change the rear shocks and maybe “adjust” the front suspension ??? How much would you sell a solo bike without the sidecar ? There beautiful machines, especially the black engines. I don’t like a lot of chrome reflecting sunlight in my eyes. And you’d think they would have floorboards, instead of footpegs. Like Harleys.
Hi Jim, The red 1945 Chevy does need a new home! If you'd like to send us an email at sales@alphacars.com, we can definitely keep you informed on its status. It will be on our website in the coming weeks. We have some service tasks to complete before we bring it to market.

@@luisjesusalejandroalderete3917 Thanks, I'm driving a Harley, but the old Ural is still in the garage
I think it would be ok by replacing the tyres to road tyres and front shocks with telescopic ones.

@@AlphaCars got it! Thanks!
To assist in removing rear wheel for tire changing 😅

Love from India!❤ Great explanation! And, why they don't sell in India?😢
@@rathnavelrv coz Indians overtly rely on Royal Enfield. Too bad they did not allow many classic foreign bike brands in India to thrive.
@@malasardar3147 Yeah! I wish ural should be available in India as well! 😕
so you say we can't drive Ural with out the sidecar 😐😓😭😭
