The people who polluted the world to get rich.. are still polluting till they die... cant be expected to care bout the future if you won't live till the consequences are here!! Boomer generation is the most selfish generation ever!!
Oh wow. A serious answer. The Titanic was built in sections. The steel plates held together with iron rivets not as strong. They did that to save money So basically the rivets popped on hitting the iceberg. But it was a long time ago. 🕊️
It is a very impressive engineering achievement, but if it's full of shops, water slides, bars, and casinos, isn't that like visiting somewhere like Las Vegas?
Impressive. Though, I have to say, there was just this elegant mystique about a cruise liner like the Titanic that just cannot be associated with something like this. Perhaps it was the era or maybe the lore that gives it a feeling of authenticity, which in modern times is simply lost. Regardless, good luck to the new ship....Bon Voyage!
I understand what you mean. In the days of the Titanic, the ocean liners were not so much for pleasure, but a mode of transport. That alone differentiates them from the majority of cruise liners today. In an oversimplified way, they were the transcontinental ferries of their time. Or, the intercontinental flights of today, which is probably the better comparison. I suppose the mystique came from a different passenger with a completely different purpose. It was also of course, a time when going abroad was a huge thing.
Oh come on....covid hasn't gone away, but it has mutated enough by now that it has become far weaker and that getting it is for the majority a mild sickness, if that. Epidemics on cruise liners or other long distance ships is nothing new, but if we continued to live in fear of what 'might happen' we would end up dying having not done anything. There is a time for cautionary behaviour and there is a time for carrying on and enjoying life. We are currently in the latter phase.
@@nirnrooter I had norovirus once (not on a cruise ship). I was about to eat dinner with friends and it came on suddenly and I was laid out, feverish, in the space of, like, 10 minutes. It was awful. One of the friends caught it from me-unsurprisingly since it’s highly contagious-and collapsed on the streetcar about two days later. The only relatively good thing was that it lasted only about 24 hours for each of us.

Do people actually pay to go on that thing? Some folks are easily entertained: holidaying on a floating city, with shops and Netflix; pure adventure, hold on to your hats!
Hydroelectricity would never work for numerous reasons - including not being able to output nearly enough energy to keep the ship at a normal speed for a prolonged amount of time. Engineers have definitely thought of this, don't think WHEN but HOW
Could all SAR Helis in UK, USA, russia and china combined bring 10000 people to safety W.I. 24 houers ..? Don't think so ! Do You think so ? -Have a nice journey...
I understand a sizable percentage of those passengers are drunk at any given time. That's what keeps me from booking a cruise on one of these: the AH0le factor.
I asked a similar question the sea is so funny she always randomly sinks you fars from the shore,as if to say it doesn't want people to hear you screen.Grim
I’m impressed by the crew to passenger ratio. That’s a lot of crew!
Just don't sail at Iceberg. That's it. The sea is far more deep.
Exactly, it would be disastrous for the fishes.
nobody mentioned that nearly 85-90% of cruise customers are 65+ years old.

That is who has the money 💰.
7000 passengers????? No thanks
So where does it dump its 9,000 persons worth of sewage?
Into the air 😂😂😂😂
And how long will it take to sink, compare to Titanic? 😅

@paul7TM actually it was due to the temperature, the steel broke easier and broke like glass because it was cold

Icon is amazing to see.
Damn, that's a bigass shit.
More like eye sore of the seas.....
Impressive and stunning. Good job.
No way I’m getting on that floating grave yard.
awww Good girl, I was watching the wave on the right the whole time. Some low frame rates at times. I see the goal though.
And when COVID breaks out on that floating Petri dish, how many of those 9,950 people get infected?

Even if it's not COVID, outbreaks of horrible viruses do occur on these massive ships. Norovirus being one particularly nasty bug.

You have to measure it in the universal system of measurement: Potential Lawsuits.
Hell on earth.

Well, yes they do. It isn't my cup of tea either, but each to one's own. It takes all sorts to make a world.
@@andrewjones-productions Dont you mean "break" a world?
I don't get it either. Can think of any number of things that are way more interesting to spend that kind of money on.

we did this already right "the world's biggest ship"

You sank my ship
WHEN are ship builders going to design engines that utilise the enormous power of the #water instead of any other #fuel source?
A water powered engine? That's a stupid idea that would never work
Water is the waste product from combustion. It is not a fuel source.

Why isn't all that superstructure either angled or mobile to use as a sail?
These pollution factories are out of date before they are built.
Does anyone remember a ship called The Titanic 🤔
No man is an island till it gets botchulism
not big enough for bbc to show how ship sinks
Don't repeat the lesson, what titanic got .... Nature always winnn.

Humans are too short-lived to care more about the environment than their personal entertainment, regardless of how ridiculous it can be 😂
