This is killer!👌 Yes I like more perspective on the whole set up, ride line. Your showing us before doing it really helps. Also, great ideas for practice new things. 👊 Thanks
Thanks Jim. I really love trials and the community around it! Hoping the vids I do help get the sport a tiny bit more attention, and at a level that seems possible for the average person. Watching the pro's is amazing, but they are so good it is insane. Hopefully seeing me muck about will inspire others to give it a try and be like " well if that guy can do it so can I!". Also I know I love watching other people's vids because it inspires me with new ideas to try or different approaches to something I already do. Hoping my vids do the same for others!
I'm planning a RUclips review of the top trials training channels and was going to include yours. Screen recording for a short duration and giving all credit to your channel to plug your work. I appreciate what you've giving back to the sport and learned so much from consuming your videos. Let me know if you're alright being included in this please. Cheers mate
@@shawnmcginnis2508 I know. No offense, You're not in the top five category. it'll be an honorable mention due to the work on especially from a beginner's perspective
Hi David. Yes when my tire initially meets the log I use both brakes. After I am settled I transition to front brake and slipping the clutch to hold me in place. I haven't practiced that in a while and my form in the video shows just that. I need to ideally get back, pause, rev, then go. I am using this sorta rocking motion because it makes me commit and quit over thinking it. It isn't right, but it is what I regress back to if I don't have somebody out there keeping me in line. Notice on the initial impact with the log on approach I let my body come forward. if you don't absorb the energy of the impact somehow (this is how I found, but not qualified enough to say I am right, just that it works) the front will rebound off the log causing you to not lock in right away and loose balance. Hope this helps and hope all is well !

With the static punch, have you got both brakes on to bring yourself to a stop?
