The Eagles' have usually had a GREAT D-line (that helped them win the Super Bowl, mind you) & decent linebackers over the years, but their secondary has been VERY shitty for YEARS now... they've had a shitty secondary since Asante Samuel was last there in 2009. I have no fucking idea why the Eagles' front office doesn't do anything to fix this, when this has CLEARLY been their Achille's Heel for years now.

      I'm a former wr and I can tell you with all honesty, that when running a route and getting ready to catch the ball there was nothing that a receiver feared more than seeing or knowing that Brian Dawkins was somewhere on the field. You literally spent most of the time running your route actually thinking in the back of your mind And hoping that he was on the other side of the field or that maybe he forgot about you. No, I never played professional football. I've spoke too wide receivers who have and I've played on levels with players like him.

    Wow, 12 minutes of highlights!! 10 of those against the Cowgirls!! A player that gave everything and then some more. Too bad he couldn't win a SB. (Donovan, this one is on you, son) Thanks for all the great moments, you will always be remembered as one of the greatest in the organization.

      Jorge Espinoza Donovan wasn't the reason we lost that game...Andy Reid was. You have Brian Westbrook in the backfield and you only run the ball 12 times and throw it 55? He called 3 pass plays on the first series and they went 3 and out. That was when I knew we were gonna lose. Still pisses me off to this day. Dawk and Donovan deserved that SB ring.

    I hate making these kinds of statements...but...man, there will never be another player like Brian Dawkins. I grew up watching this guy early on his career as a bird...this dude is just fucking 500% intensity and heart. This guy is the pinnacle of competitors. The greatest safety to ever play the game, in my opinion. It may be bias growing up in Philly but this dude just epitomizes everything that makes a player transcend into true greatness.
    An absolute fucking wild animal on the field. They unleashed him and the results were just legendary.

      TSMPimpDaddyPain Like what category? Tackles? First off, interceptions>>>tackles. Tackles are an overrated stat especially since Reed played on better defenses and didn’t have to make as many tackles and Dawkins played a lot longer. Reed had twice as many interceptions despite playing 4 less seasons lmfao. And secondly, stats aren’t everything. Reed>>>>Dawkins. Not even close. Foh

    • @TSMPimpDaddyPain
      @TSMPimpDaddyPain 5 лет назад

      @@KiloMafia9 like what I said the first time, EVERYTHING other than interceptions. Tackles, sacks, forced fumbles, pass deflections, QB hits, tackle for loss, fumble recoveries. Reed was a better pure ball hawk but Dawkins was the more complete, overall better player.
