    The shoe felt so chunky in my hand that I almost returned it. I’m glad that I didn’t. I quite like it. It works so well with my stride, for whatever reason. Very smooth.

    It's my first Adidas running shoe in many years.👀 My first run impression was - this is boring. No real pop. However, when I looked at my watch I was going quite fast, but with minimal effort. I think It's a very efficient shoe, but you really don't notice it when you are running. I like that it's not that soft. However, I don't find it that firm. I think it could be great for long runs and faster sessions. I don't love it. I don't hate it. I quite like it.

    Really appreciate you giving this shoe a fair shot. Most seem to be writing the Boston off after a few miles.

      Certainly one that gets better with a few miles on it!

  • @matthewledvina8323
    @matthewledvina8323 3 года назад +4

    Did 13 miles in it today after about already putting 30 miles on the shoe. It’s finally broken in and it was a smooth stable ride and really really comfortable the whole way through. I’m using it as a training companion with the Adios Pro 2 which will feel lightening fast in comparison. It’s a great work horse shoe that is perfect for recovery days and long run training days. I think it gets an unfair rep because it was called the Boston 10. If it was called the Adios Adizero TC i think people would have given it more of a chance. In any case loving this shoe!

    Great review as always, and happy to hear that the shoe gets better after breaking in. But as a Boston die hard fan, I will buy 2 pairs of the 9's and after that I will move to the Adios 6.
    Guess some relationships don't last forever, and it's time to move apart from the Boston I loved

    I stay away from the Boston 10 due to the weight. Just can't accept it. Bought the adios 6 which arrived today. Just tried it for a quick spin... WOW.. So light and responsive. I'm impressed. Can't wait to put serious miles in them. Tq for the Boston 10 review.

    Traditional, firm, sounds like the Saucony Ride 14 to me. I find the Ride 14 slightly too firm. In my case, would you think the Boston 10 would be good for me?

    This shoe is so firm and responsive it is only good for fast paces. Run fast or it will be too firm for you. I have no problem with these shoes. They are ny current favorites.

    Hi Nick, great review! Do you think they’ll be releasing these shoes in the blue anytime soon? It appears they’re only available in white. Also, it would be great if you filmed a marathon training series. I’m sure there’s a lot of people who are interested in your daily training.

    • @TheRunTesters

      Thanks! Not sure on colours, I thought the blue had already come out in UK maybe, but could be wrong. I’ll try and cover off some training stuff in the reviews, but I like to keep the focus on the gear where I can, we’re all about the gear here haha

    Hi, after seeing some of adidas reviews, and trying not to get a too heavy shoe as the Boston 10, how do you compare the adios 6 with the SL20 (or the new SL 20,2) The cushion is better? more suitable for long rides? I sometimes try to use the triumph 18 for "long" 15km-21km runs but at slow speeds around 6min/km and its weight does not help because of that I stopped using it and going back to older shoes as rincon 2 and razor 3 for these long runs, dont think on the rebel2 you mentioned because of instability. Any advice? Thanks and fantastic review as always, very detailed and the "options/alternatives" part are always helpful. By the way I have the sl20 OG and like it a lot (light, responsive, snappy), but "for me" I dont think it is a good choice for runs over 10-12km.

    • @TheRunTesters
      @TheRunTesters  3 года назад +1

      Hi! So I can't speak to the Adios 6 myself as I haven't tested it yet, but a lot of people seem pretty keen on it! I agree that the SL20 is great but not ideal for longer runs. The Rincon 2 is good, maybe you'd like the Mach 4 - it's pretty light and I love it for long runs myself. Or I'm sure some other commenters might be able to chip in with advice on the Adios 6! And thanks on the review :)

    • @r.cordis8251
      @r.cordis8251 3 года назад +1

    Hi Nick, thank you for the nice review. I totally agree with you. In my opinion, don't expect too much from the Adios 6, it is just a normal shoes, nothing to get excited about. it is bouncy only if you land on your forefoot, and from what i understand you are more an heel stricker, i don't think you will like it. The only nice shoes from the new line up is the adios pro 2 in my opinion, are you going to test it?

    I got them on discount. Took them out for a 7K run. Too heavy, too stiff, too warm and I definitely felt the pinning sensation in my toes which was quite annoying and which turned into a sensation of numbness after I took them off. Not enjoyable at all. I started using them as casual shoes for walking around town.

  • @Dave-kq9cv

    I would say this is not a daily trainer, it's for long run training to compliment the adios pro. It's a nice shoe definitely not a sequel to the boston 9. That's what the adios 6 is.

    • @TheRunTesters
      @TheRunTesters  3 года назад +1

      Hi Dave, it's a daily trainer in my book. And in Adidas's book too judging by all the launch material I have, and all the write-ups they have done on it. I appreciate a lot of people saying the Adios 6 is more of a successor to the Boston 9, and that might well be true, but this shoe is called the Boston 10, so you can see why people who used past Bostons might consider it.

    • @Dave-kq9cv
      @Dave-kq9cv 3 года назад +1

      ok true. I find this is more comparable to the Asics GlideRide2, Endorphin Shift 2, NB FF More v3, Hoka Clifton or Bondi than the Mach 4 or Rebel v3. Those latter 2 I would make more comparable to the Adios 6.

    The Boston is also for the rolling Boston Marathon. Boston Marathon Asks for a shoe offering Safe Feeling Downhill while you should Not Run against a midsoleflex and a Stiff carbon-plate the uphills.
