…2024… Jesus, Jesus, Jesus… Your love has melted my heart… Keep us sweet in Your love Lord, as the enemy seeks to destroy every good thing You have made.
There is a name I love to hear,
I love to sing its worth;
It sounds as music in mine ear,
The sweetest name on earth.
Oh, how I love Jesus,
Oh, how I love Jesus,
Oh, how I love Jesus,
Because He first loved me!
It tells me of a Saviour's love,
Who died to set me free;
It tells me of His precious blood,
The sinner's perfect plea.
It tells me what my Father hath
In store for ev'ry day,
And tho' I tread a darksome path,
Yields sunshine all the way.
It tells of One whose loving heart
Can feel my deepest woe,
Who in each sorrow bears a part,
That none can bear below.
Oh, how I love Jesus,
Oh, how I love Jesus,
Oh, how I love Jesus,
Because He first loved me!
Verses: Frederick Whitfield, circa 1861
Chorus: Anonymous

You are my hiding place
You always fill my heart
With songs of deliverance
Whenever I am afraid
I will trust in You
I will trust in You
Let the weak say
I am strong
In the strength of the Lord
You are my hiding place
You always fill my heart
With songs of deliverance
Whenever I am afraid
I will trust in You

Sending prayers for your dad and your family xx

Thank you for your encouraging words. My dads results were positive and he has cancer in the prostate. What amazes me is my dad’s unwavering faith, for the past 15 years we go out on a Tuesday night to our city centre and share the Gospel. My dad got his results on Tuesday afternoon and was there as usual to meet me in the evening for evangelism. He looked the same as he always done and without hesitation he just said “I’m in bigger hands”. Evangelism is the priority of his life and it’s all I’ve ever known him to be! A faithful husband, hard working loving father who is above all God fearing with his first priority being seeking first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Praise Jesus 🙏🏼
Just to let you know I am still praying for your dad and your family… Stand firm! Stay Strong!!
@@1988TheHitman…Still praying that all goes well for your family! God is so good!

Tapping in from Kissimmee, Florida!! Thank you for your work for our Lord. Can you please if you have time give us a video with good biblical practices on how to reach non believers in our lives. I know everyone thinks Christian’s should follow the 11th commandment “Thou shalt be nice” but while we should lovingly give the reason for hope that we have. We still have boundaries and we should firmly stand on biblical principles. I don’t want to sit idle because I’m not trying to “offend” anyone.

Brother Justin, thank you so much for reading! What a blessing to have these readings! All praises to God. I am trying to set it up so that I can be notified as soon as you post. I love this and want to read the whole Bible. How do you know what and how you will read. I would like to have a schedule so I can be ready or go back for study. God is so wonderful. Thank you❤

So again, we have some commonalities between the sections we read today. In Deuteronomy, we have a song that warns about what will eventually happen to the nation of Israel when they disobey the law, parts, of which sound like they were repeated in various songs, perhaps in the 90s? But we also have themes of redemption and deliverance., It talks about how people broke the law, so the Psalmist loves it all the more. And Isaiah, we almost got a rehashing, and an ex position or expounding on why breaking the law has created a rift between God and his people, but that God ultimately will have mercy on them, and will save them, possibly in order to save his own reputation, or something like that. (forgive me if I misconstrue that). And in Matthew, similar to these other two passages, Jesus talks about the consequences for obeying his words, and not obeying them. You could almost tie Deuteronomy into Israel, not obeying the words of God/Jesus, and ending up as the foolish man who built their house on the sand. Whoever it was, who came up with this Bible reading plan, whether he knew it, or not, was actually quite clever. I guess it shows just how living an act of God‘s word can be.
Do you remember that the tribes split into northern Israel and two tribes, Judah and Benjamin, was the southern kingdom?
@@suzieaguilar397 of course I do. May I ask why you ask me this question?
@@suzieaguilar397 I was referring to all of Israel, specifically, in the context of the covenant relationship with God. I guess I should’ve said the Israelites, to make it more clear that I’m talking about all 12 tribes who were under the old covenant specifically. I don’t just mean the northern Israelites/Samaritans.
@blindvision4703 Do you know the reason the southern people wanted to be separated from the north and would you tell me what separated them.
@@suzieaguilar397 i’m not sure what you’re getting at, but the answer can be found in first kings, chapter 11, and in a parallel passage in second Chronicles. Because of Solomon’s disobedience to Yahweh, he decided to tear away most of the kingdom from him. When his son Rehoboam took the throne in His place, Jeroboam, a former servant to Solomon, who had fled to Egypt, asked on behalf of the people for him to lighten the load on the people. But as per the prophecy, Rehoboam said he would make their labor even harder, so the 10 northern tribes rebelled against him. so really, it was the northern tribes that broke away.
Has America built on the Rock ?
The gift of apostleship was given only to selected people sent by God. In order to be an apostle, one had to have seen the resurrected Messiah and have the power of miracles. The gift of prophecy was the ability to receive direct revelation from God. A Prophet could even write Scripture without error. The book of Ephesians teaches that these two gifts are no longer available: Paul states two purposes for these gifts.
Laying the Foundation of the Church Ephesians 2:19-22, 19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
According to this passage, the two gifts of apostleship and prophecy in the New Testament were for the purpose of laying the foundation of the Church. The picture is that of Jesus...the chief corner stone. From the cornerstone, two lines of stones were laid for the foundation. One line of stones represents the apostles, and the other line of stones represents the prophets. In this passage, the prophets are not of the Old Testament, but those of the New Testament. The purpose of the New Testament Apostles and Prophets was for laying the foundation of the Church. By the death of John the last apostle who died around A.D. 90 the foundation of the Church had been laid.
What is happening now is described in verses 21-22 believers are stones, which are being fitly, framed together, one on top of the other, building up the house of God. That is the purpose for the other gifts. The other gifts are being used to lay stone upon stone in building up the house of God, but the foundation is comprised of the apostles and prophets. The first key purpose of the gifts of apostleship and prophecy was to lay the foundation of the Church.
Ephesians 3:1-9, For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery;* (as I wrote afore in few words,
4 Whereby*, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
Paul spells out a second purpose for the spiritual gifts of apostles and prophets: to receive and record New Testament revelation, new revelation concerning the teachings on the dispensation of the grace of God. Verse 5 makes it clear which prophets are meant: not the Old Testament prophets. For Paul said: it has now (in Paul's day) been revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit. Just as the Old Testament had to be recorded by the Old Testament prophets, the New Testament had to be recorded by New Testament prophets. The apostles also had the prophetic office. The two purposes for the gifts of apostleship and prophecy were to lay the foundation of the Church, which has been laid; and t record New Testament revelation, which has now been recorded. With these two things accomplished, the clear implication is that these two gifts are no longer given.
