    Great list overall, do think you took the bug discussion overboard after all you most likely went in the summer. But do think you were mostly right. There is Hoffman hills state park/ natural area. I seen it listed as both so as an honorable mention it’s got great hiking with high hills and great views

    I was surprised the Kettle Moraine area is considered a State Forest. Both the Northern and Southern areas include campgrounds, plenty of hiking trails, equestrian trails, Parnell Tower and a few State Parks, (Pike Lake State Park and the Old Wade house that used to be considered a State Park). The Kettle Moraine scenic Drive, 114 miles long, is spectacular for the fall colors.

    • @ARandomDonut
      @ARandomDonut  Месяц назад +1

      @@terrywesterbeke7604 Yes. I went off the DNRs listings when deciding which sites to visit. It has been the easiest way to pick out the hiking focused properties while making sure I don’t end up having to visit 200 sites with nearly no hiking trails. I’ve driven through the state forest and it is marvelous. Wisconsin is the best showcase of what glaciers can do (and not do) of any state in the country imo.

    Well I am quite disappointed in your take on Perrot. I expected it to be if not #1 at least in the top 5. The hike to Brady Bluff is two fantastic hikes. Going up the switchback hillside sports great little benches for a welcome rest with killer views, and you can say the trail leading up to the hillside is a experience in itself.
    Then the descending hike walking down impossibly engineered stone stairs is Amazing! You didn't even show the log cabin shelter atop. Then once down either walk the road or take the trail along the river. Then finally there is the cool little town of
    Trempealeau nestled up to Lock & Dam 6.

      @@janlassensession4209 I guess our opinions just differ. I almost didn’t even put it in the top 10. I agree it’s an awesome park, but there are a handful that are better in my opinion. Also, I didn’t show the log shelter because there was a family sitting and enjoying it the whole time I was up there. Didn’t want to be rude or weird.

    Your constant comment about bugs is really distracting. Bugs are a fact of life in most of the parks in Minnesota and Wisconsin. It seems that no other criteria is as important for you as bugs.
    Any problems with bugs are certainly worth mentioning, but they should not be a factor in your ranking. We know there are bugs we want to know about the intrinsic qualities of the park.
    Copper Falls ought to be in the top 5. In the earlier part of the spring or the fall and there won't be any bugs.
    Overall too much negativity. I have been to all the parks in Minnesota and some are quite minor but I haven't been to any that didn't have something interesting to offer.

    • @ARandomDonut
      @ARandomDonut  2 месяца назад +1

      I'm just going off my experience. Everyone's will be different. The ranking is critical and not objective. While I agree, and I have looked at the ranking a few times and should have put Copper Falls higher, it would not be in my top 5 by any means. :)

      @@theo-door Even if I did I probably wouldn't have time to be active on there right now since I'm working 50 hours a week right now. I knew my comment would be something Wolfeei would disagree with, but I truly believe that PB rivals MCC in terms of the way the games are set up (and the music is straight bangers). Especially the voting system. I've never seen a Minecraft event do it that way before. It actually got me thinking of what could be. Like what if each game was a craftable item and if one team got all the pieces, they could just run to the middle of the spinner and craft the game to autopick it. If no team could autopick a game, the voting would work how it always has. It would be a strategic thing too, because you could get all the pieces to a game you don't want, and it's like "well this is useless". Then you could decide whether you want the "game pieces" to carry over into the next voting round (i.e. your team finds all 3 items to craft Miner Mania, but maybe you want to save it for later, so you don't craft it). Staff could decide whether the items would stay in the teams possession into the next voting round or if they would be removed and everyone would start from scratch (I feel like the latter would be more balanced). Finally, Wolfeei mentioned a PB split where two different events with two different rosters happen like Blockwars. I think this is one of the better things that Blockwars has done, and if you guys ever get to that point, you could have monthly events, keeping all game aspects the same between every two events, since they would be different rosters. I would also swap the rotation of rosters every month to give it variety, so no matter what, the same roster would go twice in a row, once before an update, and once right after, so then, for example the smaller creators (and more sweaty competetion could go UBER SWEAT MODE after watching bigger creators play the update, and vice versa, where bigger creators could watch sweats play the update, and up their mechanical skill. Roster A, Roster A Updated event, Roster B updated event, Roster B updated event 2.0, etc.). This could also ruin the event for more casual players on the creator side, which would be a reason not to do that. I would also always take the community's opinion first and foremost, which is something that Minecraft events have been historically good at doing. So listen to your viewers and players. I also love that the event is hosted on a Sunday. Finally, I think the event could benefit from some sort of team-based maze game (this is one of the best things Twitch rivals has done) and I would make one that maybe starts all 4 players in different places and there's a series of pressure plates, levers, etc to get all players to the middle. It would simply be a race. This would obviously take a long time to create but if I had to give an idea for a game, this would be it. I had one more thing I was thinking of but lost it while typing lol. Feel free to screenshot this, might delete later.
