In regards to our Reaction videos:
As many of you know RUclips can be an unpredictable and often unfair place when it comes to copyright rules and their enforcement. If our video ends up getting cut due to copyright reasons it will be labeled in the title as a Review rather than a Reaction. The music video portion of the video will be cut out and you will only see our before and after thoughts. Unfortunately this is the best we can do under those circumstances and we would appreciate a Like rating on our videos to help us overcome any negative algorithmic affects.

That song seemed really safe. imo and when it comes to soundtracks this could be a song they had laying around and not specifically written for it. I know that happens a lot. Oh you need a track for a soundtrck ok here's this song we cut from our last album! or they did write it specifically for this i dunno..lol

**Low vocal mixing: It's because Joe's voice has deteriorated, his vocals are mixed very low in the live videos from the last couple of years as well.
His voice sounds very strained when I watch the live videos from the last couple of years, he has said that he had to start switching up his technique (L'Enfant Sauvage era) because he never used proper technique all of the previous years and he might not be able to continue singing if he didn't switch it up.
It's unfortunate, a lot of metal vocalists have damaged their voices over the years due to using improper technique (Corey Taylor is a prime example after Iowa).
He sounded great on Magma. Sad his vocals are drowned with effects now. Hopefully he can recover with proper technique.
Corey imo is on his best era right now. It's not the raw angry feel he used to have but he's able to sustain and emulate every song he creates in studio. That's much more important
His voice is still pretty good but he's overusing it.
Gojira are constantly touring like there's no tomorrow, you can hear the strain getting worse and worse on Joe's vocal chords. The reason the voice was lower in Fortitude was because they hired a very specific mixer that they respect immensely for this album.

@@mutatednut I agree I wasn't a fan of it either lmao, the bass was more apparent than ever before, but it felt like Joe's voice was underwater.
Andy Wallace was the mixer btw, a big figure in the metal mixing industry, but I didn't feel it this time...
VileSelf is right, Gojira is pretty much groove metal now.
Good tune, cool solo.
Definitely fits the sports video game style music.
This is alright, but this was middle of the road for me & they're capable of better material than this. Like you said about Goatwhore, Tvfish: this is background music for me. Great review & keep em comin guys!🤘🏿🔥

Man, why the fuck they ALWAYS have such a bad mix on vocals? Seriously, entire previous album have this problem too. Muffled, weird, static, distorted voice, sounds like he's singing from bottom of the well, everything else is mixed great, but not vocals. Great song otherwise, but this is irritating at this point.
It's kinda been their thing since forever. Imo, vocals were never meant to be the most important thing, it's always been the instrumentals for me. I think fortitude was just plainly the worst in terms of the vocal mix, though, I do agree with you there

@@BigHomieSteveTheMetalHead Corey? That's a weird example considering I feel like vocal wise, he delivered his best stuff on WANYK, well into his mid 40's.
@@dylanhurley4551 I'm talking about the difference in his vocals never being the same after Iowa, he was using an unhealthy method of engaging his entire throat instead of his false (vocal) chords.
Check out videos of people explaining and trying to replicate Corey's Iowa screams, they tell you not to do it that way because it will damage your voice.
That's why his voice sounds very different on Vol 3 than the previous 2 albums, Corey's vocals on the last couple of albums sound really good and healthy.
I honestly think he sounds better on the newest album than ever before, it's just different from his Iowa vocals.
