Fricken 100lb Rhodes , 460lb Hammond , Leslie's... etc... Yikes... Bought a Nord which Really impressed me !!! Great Pianos , Hammond organ , Synth , Mellotron , and FX... But the MPC is a Total Game Changer..!!! with a couple of extra plug-ins , it Really comes close to the Nord for a Really Low Price.. It is a Total Recording Studio in a Great Package.. So....... The Only Reason the MPC key 37 Sucks... is if You Don't Have One.. Period... Love it

I support this message 1Million percent! The music that we all grew up on didn't even conceivably have this much power! The hits were made on live instruments, and sampling gear like the SP-1200 which only had 10 seconds. The LinnDrum, DMX, S950 and tape....! No drum kits to buy, and no midi packs to download...! It's a sampler, "SO JUST SAMPLE"!!! The word gigs and terabytes didn't even apply. We had floppy disks that only held megs....💾 Producers, get back to sampling and get off the screen and see what you can really do! Salute to the greats who still make our heads nod. Preemo, Pete Rock, Rza, Erick Sermon, Q-Tip and all the rest, who did it with waaaay less!🫡

Talking on the pads. I bought the MPC Live 2 about a year before I purchased the MPC ONE+. For me the pads are too big on the live, but their both amazing! I'm getting the MPC Key 37 before the end of the year for sure

Having these new MPCs feels like cheating lol. Started on the 2KXL when it dropped and, the One is my 2nd MPC. I waited 20 something years for what they do today. Always wanted a 2500 but, I'm good now. No complaints at all.
I'm 45 I always wanted the mpc 2000xl in the 90s but couldn't afford it. Now I have the mpc live 2 retro and I LOVE it. I can imagine the key 37 is pretty much everything you could ever need with an mpc. The ram is not a deal breaker, like you said, buy a thumb drive. They're cheap
just 1 plugin can be a synth from the 80s that mightve cost $3000 back then.. but today, u can have 8 of them, in addition to ur built in sounds, in one machine.. yea, these young'ns just dont know.. lol..

Akai made a mpc for every need with this new operating systems. If the key 37 ain’t it for someone there’s another one that’ll work just fine. Mpc live 2 is what works for me. Can’t beat the 6 outputs at that price point. But tbh I can use any of them and be just fine. You’re right if you can’t make something decent with the amount of technical advantages of the newer systems, then it’s you not the machine
and how old are you again? because its not us vets that's complaining, i was making beats on machines before the MPC even came out so i know these machines are light years ahead. its the spoiled young cats that tripping on modern machines.

Facts. There is definitely planned obsolescence by these companies (like any other big company), but at the end of the day, these units are monsters in comparison to old units. Unless we're talking about build quality (old joints were built like tanks) or the grittiness we used to get from older units (newer ones can be modded if you really want that in the box), there's nothing to talk about. Our tools are insane these days. People complain just to complain. Unhappy people.

Well I did a video on the Key 37 which states why Im not buying one, because in My opinion its old technology, its basically a MPC one. I expain that for Me the APK249 I own has all the parts of a MPC with Keys that I would want, same buttons, Knobs and so on, and Im not going to stop using Reason.
Of course i dont have one im not impressed by it so why would I drop money on that when it doesnt do anything i cant do on my DAW id rather get the live 2.

It wasn’t even 20 years ago. The mpc 5000 from 2008 was no where near as advanced as the new MPCS. People have been spoiled my these new devices
