Finally somebody with their head on, not afraid to step out of the rigid box that they live in...
Should be mandatory and taught in all high schools.
Trying to understand, how mandatory classes will help anything? Wouldn't it just teach us how to spot issues sooner than later and expedite the marriage ending. Not necessarily a bad thing, just don't see much of a benefit
Very nice set!
A bit of advice: you should have the "Meaningful People Podcast" sign behind where the guest seats so that way when clips are taken from the show, it's clear where the source of the clip is from. From MPP. It will say it right behind the guest
Even the trailer.....I like this man. He speaks the truth! And I agree 1000%.
Great episode, rabosai. I especially love what Rabbi Rotberg said about having a conversation with the other person instead of giving up.
I shared tips and had halacha questions from several shabbasos in hospital with relative in 2022 and 2023 (bikur cholim/food/emergencies/checking the stairwell and bathroom situations and more). I hope they are covered in your sefer, which is definitely needed.
Regarding the finances and the mental stress it causes:
even the couples who are not keeping up with the jones’ and are spending responsibly could be drowning. It could be happening on a high income as well. The costs for necessity’s nowadays are insane!! Food housing healthcare clothing school shabbat & holidays, even with no extras already add up to so much! Many couples are silently suffering trying to manage and not much help out there for them. You have to be making SO much money to survive
wonderful conversation!
Parents leave most of the education to schools starting from the young age of 2/3. They expect the schools and Yeshiva system to prepare them for marriage as well. Wrong. Instead of calling it a Shidduch crisis, name it as a marriage crisis. Young boys and girls and ill equipped to deal with emotional issues in a marriage and 2-3 months once a week of chosson/Kallah classes doesn’t teach it all.
I personally went to a very good seminary, they thought us skills on how to deal with relationship problems with marriage and children
Not addressing the marriage /relationship subject, but from age2-3 is it not the job of the school to educate them??
Already taken just by the trailer! I have had the same thoughts and I would love to be involved in this incredibly important and necessary mission!
I like this Rabbi a lot.
Fantastic episode. Loved all the conversations!🙏⭐️
Very nice podcast!!!
Keep up the good work!!!!
Wow what a smart man. Great episode!
God Bless Israel and ALL its people. Praying for ALL those who mourn along with those still awaiting the return of their loved ones..🙏🙏🇦🇺🙏🙏🇦🇺🙏🙏🇦🇺🙏🙏🇦🇺
Kimbal hospital is a bais hekevaros today. But back when Romberg was born there was a fabulous L&D and great doctors. The whole department fell apart because of sone politics with the hospital. I’ll have to ask again the details. But it’s nit being used in Lakewood as a decent hospital. Hatzala only takes u theref they don’t foresee anything serious.
Or, here's a thought, teach children derech eretz from birth instead of counting on frum schools to teach middos starting in 6th grade
Have only watched the preview clip. Here in South Africa we require all Chossonim and Kallas to take pre-marital therapy sessions. It’s separate from Chosson/Kallah classes. All my kids have done it and it’s wonderful.. not sure if we do the after Chossona classes. Would be a brilliant add on
Beautiful studio!
Yasher koach!
the Camera angle on the guest is way too off to the side, you can't see him good. we only got to see him at minute 23
Can I have Tabbi Moshes number? I’m ready to be deeply involved in his activities to help out with what ever I can because I believe it needs to be done
To your comment about not celebrating honest Ehrlich hard working people, unfortunately we are called nebs by the younger generation. It's terrible that there is no value to that😢
Orthodox has to do Chuva (to return). We don't need Therapists. If people make for themselves a Rav and by for themselves a friend. They get the Therapy they need. A Rav might not know the person intimately but a true Rav can lead a person to the right direction. The friend might not know the right direction for this person, but they emotionally know and understand them. The combination of the two creates a situation where no therapy needed. Therapist mostly make money by providing therapy. They need patients to make money (conflict of interest). Friends become emotionally involved. It's against the law for a Therapist to get emotionally involved. The key to success is a relationship with G-d, Rav and friend. All relationships are most beneficial if they are quality authentic relationships.
Mazal Tov to all.
Aryeh
Nishmat Avraham is a three Sefer set that answers a lot of medical halachic questions
i did the therapy thing before marriage
ended up breaking the engagement
Well then, the therapy worked. Didn't it?
I can't help but laugh, this is exactly what I wrote above
How does one get in touch with Rabbi Rotberg?
Could you please add subtitles throughout the entire video?
I find it difficult to follow since Hebrew is my mother tongue
Interview Ari Ettinger next!! Please! 🙏
I’m in. I’m a certified Gottman and PACT couples therapist. Meat board for marriage!
You can make more wedding albums, if you're into that. They have websites for it. Or, if you just enjoy picking out pictures for an album, you can do that and pretend you're actually arranging an album.
If you have mandatory sessions before the wedding you may have many broken engagements and what about idealistic young people who give their fiancee the benefit of the doubt because the physical attraction takes over
Isn’t that a good thing? Isn’t it good to break an engagement over breaking a marriage??
I'd love to hear what the rabbi say about this question, I believe there are many if not most who would be blissfully ignorant and would remain married successfully
It is a "nes" (miracle) that our divorce rate is less than 50%. Most rabbis recommend divorce very quickly because the legal system gives financial and custody advantages to the spouse who files first
Shalom Task Force was doing this.
Need to reinstitute it !!
I'm an optometrist. To pass for dmv you can use both of your eyes so even if you wanted to cheat, you still passed the test.
It seems to me that the frum community has to come to some sort of way of dealing with technology. Any thing dealing with government offices has to be done with tech . Filters alone are not going to do it
FRUM Therapists should GIVING ADVICE and advising AL PI HALACHA.
Not just listening, validating and asking more questions.
Otherwise, an open minded aino Yehudi is the same.
Judaism became a big business and is hurting the essence. Everything around it is so expensive that people can't really keep the mitzvos like that.
Like what for example? I don’t feel this way at all.
@@shoshanawolfe8305the wig industry has gone out of its mind. The dishonesty from wig sellers is a very common problem. I know many religious girls in their young 20s who are reaching the breaking point of not covering their hair simply because of how outrageous wigs cost and how dishonest the industry has become. It’s common place to get a wig, have issues and have the wig seller deny or charge extra to help fix the issues.
