Not just BYU. Utah and Oklahoma State struggled this year also. Nearly every year there’s a team that comes out of nowhere and starts the season hot but fades down the stretch. Completely hope that the Cougs can put in the work in the offseason and come ready to roll in 2025!
I thought the defensive team was the best I have seen in years! They are the reason BYU had a winning season. Kudos to Jay Hill who is a great coach! Maybe the best coach at BYU. I hope he sticks around. The offense needs some help. I am not impressed with the play calling or the decision making of the QB. I am not sure where the responsibility lies but the offense could have been a lot better. Great win for the Cougs!

I really liked the look of the double Quarter back at the beginning of the game. It sets up so much of an opportunity for the offense keeps the defense guessing and on there heels not knowing what to expect.

BYU has shown flashes of the BYU I remember... Again BYU showed flashes and I'm starting to buy in for the first time since independent days! BYU in my opinion gave you a sneak peek into next year and years to come!
Great recap, and I’m so glad to hear some honest truth laid out about the national coverage. I need to find a way to watch the game on tv and listen to the BYU radio coverage somehow synchronized. Great things to come for BYU next year and beyond! Per-season ranking probably can’t be higher than #9, the top 8 spots are reserved for legacy teams that already paid off the polls years ago.
Even before the game, I didn't understand why CU was favored to win . . . Perhaps the people that decide who's favored were buddies of Kyle and heard him say "That's the best team by far we've played this season"?

Just a thought...BYU will always be underrated when it comes to their fans' expectations regarding the score. Even if BYU is up 52-0, BYU fans will continue to ask why the score was not 77-0. Because we got used to it during Lavell Edwards's career, BYU fans can be very insatiable when it comes to absolute domination of opposing teams. BYU needs to focus on using that "underrated" view regarding its fans to be hungry to improve their performance statements on the field.
