Bro thank you so much for everything you do your vids are the best and they are extremely helpful, and I love how wholesome you are.. you are just an amazing person all the way around
Ok so. This is what it seems to be happening. The PC version was the original one. In fact when playing it, there's a few stuff that were fixed on the Quest version compared to the pc one (particularly interactable object feeling more natural). It then made sense to not go back to the pc version for the quest 2 and instead work on upgrading from the quest version instead. The problem seems to be that they took a new artistical choice that doesn't convince us (because yes, it's a choice. quest is just as able as any screen of displaying correctly balanced colours xD). We'll see later on if they fix it (wich is honestly very probable) and I want to remind to everyone saying "quest 2 was supposed to be better nanana". When we say quest 2 is better than rift, we speak when both are connected to a pc ofc. Then the higher resolution & framerate will make it better. It's obvious than the standalone won't be comparable, but honestly, I'm very hyped to be able to play at home wordlessly the pc version, and then when with friends the standalone while only having to buy the game once, and with one of the cheapest headset ever... Stop complaining for nothing :P

@@combo997 can recommend. I play VR a lot more now I don’t have to involve my PC and all that set up. Resident Evil 4 is awesome. Beat saber and ragnarok are different beasts without a leash :). In short. Well worth it. Don’t get lower than 128GB.
Oh i have still unanswered question: how much is CPU / GPU work with Rift S - Quest 2 - Quest with PC link. I always think PC link will raise some CPU/GPU processing work and send over USB3. How much in compare with Rift S with direct video? Quest 2 has higher resolution, so that means more work for all pixels than with to Quest. That will give me better overview how "heavy" Q2 actually is for PC gaming.
Does the Quest 1 have better lighting textures also? The guns in Quest 2 are flat, whereas on OG Quest it had more lighting/ reflective textures. Whats up with that?
PC version's horde mode is definitely easier than Quest 2's. I've played about 100hrs on each versions and found that less runner zombies spawn on PC's version. The only exception is the map Old Mine. PC's Old Mine is extremely dark and difficult.
If I had a choice.. I would purchase the games in Steam (and I do!). with Steam it's somewhat universal. I can use the link and Virtual Desktop to play and get better quality. Also If I change headsets, no problem. Besides being wireless, I just can't see myself spending the money on a game just for the Quest. Also by purchasing on steam, the 64GB Quest 2, doesn't run out of memory, since all is stored on the PC.
Quests are cheap mobile toys for casual gamers, they cannot run real VR games with deep 3D parallax, detailed and alive game worlds, rich gameplay, layered stories; they can run just a sort of evolution of wii-mote games in 360° looking poor and flat
@@thomasochs4038 I'm analyzing different options in detail. Unfortunately few commentators give you detailed technical reviews about headsets. Quality of VR experience depends on several hardware and software features: contrast, colors, levels of brightness, levels of black, responsivity of displays (one per eye), lagging time, real refresh rate at full hd not SS and with no reprojection, smooth ipd regulation, sweet spot dimension, chromatic aberration, mura, god rays, lenses distorsion, lenses curvature, pixel density, fov in relation to the overall quality of image, comfort, audio quality, software compatibility, controllers, tracking etc. Maybe I'm forgetting something. Then you need good games developed for good hardware, and that's a problem because most games are developed for cheap hardware. VR needs deep 3D spatial effect: deep dynamic parallax, several levels of brightness and blacks, very contrasted edges of objects, good occlusion, aerial perspective, binocular disparity creating good stereopsis, gradients of size, compression and density of detailed textures, shadows, rough artificial bluriness simulating varifocal view, etc. And obviously good 3D audio effect. 360° games are not the same as VR games...
Ohh, weird u say that. In my opinion there is such a big difference between the quest 2 and 1, its much cleaner and more details pop out in the quest 2, the colours are also a bit more realistic.
Is the Quest 2 version running at a smooth and consistent framerate? Because on my PC it isn't a steady 90fps or whatever, and I'd actually rather play it on Quest 2 with slightly less pretty visuals if it runs at a solid framerate. Although it is weird that they made the colours so garish on the Quest 1/2 version for no good reason. PS. Resident Evil 4 VR has shown that developers can do much better on Quest 2 than 99% have achieved to date.
It's an insult to an update. There isn't much difference. I'm wondering if the quest 2 is any different in power to he first. With that extra 2gb of ram they should have been able to increase the resolution and add shadows back in surely. More so with the new cpu to handle all this. I'm wondering what leap you really are going to see with quest 2, especially if developers still support the first.
Dynamic shadows are a major performance cost, requiring an extra drawing of every object(effectively doubling the drawing of all characters on screen, which for 33% more GPU & 56% spare CPU is simply likely too much, alongside other texture improvements & shaders taking away from those figures). It is disappointing that they couldn't add them in though. But I'm sure they tested it, as it's the first and most important difference in making a title's lighting & objects looks grounded & real, and found the Quest 2 just wasn't up to it in this game.
Quest 2 version looks SLIGHTLY better than quest 1. But since I have a PC I can keep the wireless only for lighter games (superhot, beat saber and media consumption) and then plug it to my PC for the bigger titles ( ALYX ! ). It's a damn cool product and I cant wait to get my hands on it.
Forgive me for being naive, but was that the standalone version of the quest 2 and are the graphics better if you use the link cable as I already on the game from my original rift...???
I wouldn't get a Quest 2. It is a good headset but id probably wait until a big improvement comes next. If they have a Rift S 2 or a Quest 3 or something like that I'll be looking forward into those headsets. Quest 1: Best VR headset you could afford and take almost anywhere Quest 2: The same headset, just minor tweaks and upgrades for a slightly better experience. PC: Graphics booster to any VR headset that's EXTREMELY expensive

still looking very bad on Quest, if you own even an old pc with 16gb ram and a 1080, not even the 1080Ti, you should play with virtual desktop or with the cable, the difference in this game is night and day
I have a 1070 and it works great over WiFi link
I'm so excited! Your my absolute favoritr
The difference between Q1 and 2 is there, but you really have to look for it based on this.
You easily notice the difference if you try it on the Quest 2.
I think they also updated the original version as well if I’m not mistaken...I could be wrong though
Bro thank you so much for everything you do your vids are the best and they are extremely helpful, and I love how wholesome you are.. you are just an amazing person all the way around
You're still able to play the pc version with the quest 2 and still have it look good like the pc?
Stop complaining for nothing :P
thank you!
I'll buy the pc edition and use the link instead. Could you also do a comparison with saints and sinners? :)
This was super helpful Ty, thank you. Been concerned about how things would look over the link.
Ngl graphics looks good on quest 2
Haha... Loved the part with the missing duck! XD
Sei il migliore RUclipsr che parla di vr. mi sono sempre chiesto se fossi italiano dalla pronuncia e ho visto i primi video e da ciao guys ho capito.
what cpu, gpu and ram did you use? (+settings please) thank you, great channel
idk if he already got the 3080 dont think so but if not he still uses his 2080 Ti with 9900k or 10900k
@@Der_Joghurt_Ohne_Ecke thnx!
@@Der_Joghurt_Ohne_Ecke thnx! but what about the settings for the 2080Ti? And the Ram? 16gb or 32gb? 3200 - 3600 - 4000 ?
@@Stoomhamer ram is not that important on fps if its 16gb or 32gb there is not much difference. So he prob has 32gb with 3200mhz. And idk what u mean with Settings he runs Pc Version with Rift S.
@@Der_Joghurt_Ohne_Ecke with an AMD Ryzen it does make a difference... (flight sim. in vr). For the gpu I meant: does the quest 2 link use the gpu on the pc? If so: what settings did he use?
I have a psvr. Should i upgrade to quest 2?🤔
it this game crossbuy? i have a VR ready pc but i'm thinking of buying the Quest2 just for casual in living room gaming or show it to friends and family at their homes... but if i buy the oculus version can i olso just plug it in my pc and enjoy the better graphics and quality aswell? or do i have to buy the PC version aswell? because i heard population one does NOT have crossbuy? am i right? and how do you see games that have crossbuy enabled?
Edit : thanks for your time in making this content!! nice job man! subscribed!
Do the graphics on the Quest improve and get better than the RIFT if it's plugged into the pc?
Quest and quest 2 don't have the creepy factor. More reflections would have been nice
Why does it look different from your PC? Doesn't it use your PC specs? Idk much about VR.
I really want the pc version but I’m not paying another 40 bucks, definitely waiting til the game goes on sale.
It's 15€ in steam right now
@@florentalicevlogs543 Yeah I saw that earlier, gonna think about picking it up now.
@@BrokenRealityYT im also hesitating, I know the walking dead is way better but I'm still curious about AS 😅 hf
Just makes me even more hopeful they figure out the link cable issues after seeing the PC version (Or the Virtual Desktop stuff, since it sounds like he might figure out wireless quicker than Oculus figures out wired...)
I also want to see it with the index (same res as quest 1), and reverb g2 (similar to quest 2)
Is the new Arizona Sunshine update just for the Quest 2 or something? Arizona Sunshine was my first real VR experience and it remains one of my favourite games to this day, so I was excited about an update, but I'm not seeing any info about one on the Steam page.
Wow, I'm glad I've only played this on PC.
Glad I have a rift s lol

Is this how it actually looks in game through what the person sees or how you see it through your tv
If you use quest 2's PC link cable would the graphics improve to your PC's level or stay the same?
I also want to know this.
Alla fine me l'hai fatto comprare maledetto ahahahah
Complimenti per il lavoro e la passione che ci metti in questo canale.
Continua così

Oh man.... thank you, you just saved me $500!! I was going to get the quest 2 just to be "untethered" I have the Rift S already so I'm glad I saw this and didn't make the step-down! I expected the devices to be close, but you miss out on so much detail on the Quest devices.
@Gas Pack - Nine months ago dude. I have the quest 2 now. :)
@@Andrewf73 and how is it? Been thinking about getting one...
@@combo997 can recommend. I play VR a lot more now I don’t have to involve my PC and all that set up. Resident Evil 4 is awesome. Beat saber and ragnarok are different beasts without a leash :). In short. Well worth it. Don’t get lower than 128GB.
nice vid and channel dude You just earned a sub
I was gonna buy this for my quest 2, but after looking at the quality change, I'm not so keen on it
Oh i have still unanswered question: how much is CPU / GPU work with Rift S - Quest 2 - Quest with PC link.
Are you using your phone for the quest 2 version or a pc
I really don't like how red the rocks are.. thought it was just my monitor I first saw the footage LOL
Not much of a difference between the quest and quest 2... only difference that might be significant i guess is the reduced screen door effect>?
thank you. this was an amazing comparison.
Tyriel, what’s your pc specs I ordered a quest 2 and plan to mostly use it as pcvr
Lightning effects is clearly best suited to use on PC (min 8:34). Hopefully we would see Ray Tracing on VR games soon.
Does the Quest 1 have better lighting textures also? The guns in Quest 2 are flat, whereas on OG Quest it had more lighting/ reflective textures. Whats up with that?
Irregardless of the red tint, the graphics on the PC version were just waaaaaay better.
Wow what is with the Quest 1 and 2 being so RED!
because it was quest 1 game with 835 chipset( cartoony graphic due to the power of quest 1).
@@ji3200 they should have down sampled the PC version instead of enhancing quest version.
Quests are cheap mobile toys for casual gamers, they cannot run real VR games with deep 3D parallax, detailed and alive game worlds, rich gameplay, layered stories; they can run just a sort of evolution of wii-mote games in 360° looking poor and flat
@@videogamesart8057 Then what would you consider a "Real" Vr headset
If I buy the pc version will they give me a copy of the quest version or will I have to buy 2 copies if I’d like that?
Will you be making a video on desktop vr once it's out of beta?
The PC version is the best, the other two doesn't have much difference.
Ohh, weird u say that. In my opinion there is such a big difference between the quest 2 and 1, its much cleaner and more details pop out in the quest 2, the colours are also a bit more realistic.
This guy makes my day the best
Ty
Did you play the pc version with the quest 2 and link cable?
Was the PC version done by Quest + Link or Quest 2 + Link ?
But I'm sure they tested it, as it's the first and most important difference in making a title's lighting & objects looks grounded & real, and found the Quest 2 just wasn't up to it in this game.
will u please do Echo Arena ?
Quest 2 version looks SLIGHTLY better than quest 1. But since I have a PC I can keep the wireless only for lighter games (superhot, beat saber and media consumption) and then plug it to my PC for the bigger titles ( ALYX ! ). It's a damn cool product and I cant wait to get my hands on it.
Forgive me for being naive, but was that the standalone version of the quest 2 and are the graphics better if you use the link cable as I already on the game from my original rift...???
Can you play the PC version with quest 2?
I wouldn't get a Quest 2. It is a good headset but id probably wait until a big improvement comes next. If they have a Rift S 2 or a Quest 3 or something like that I'll be looking forward into those headsets.
Quest 1: Best VR headset you could afford and take almost anywhere
Quest 2: The same headset, just minor tweaks and upgrades for a slightly better experience.
PC: Graphics booster to any VR headset that's EXTREMELY expensive
Let me ask a question: What's with the all the red colour? glad I haven't bought this awful-ness.
It's not actually like that, idk why it shows it like this, you done fucked up lol.
And are you talking about the quests themselves or the game.
Is the quest 2 using the link cable or is this through the headset, does the link cable improve graphics on the quest 2
