I highly appreciate the effort you put into this video. However, I didn’t find the tips as helpful as I had hoped, especially for unique, exclusive, industry-quality vocals with true storytelling inspired by Martin Garrix, all completely for free. As a bedroom hobbyist EDM producer with zero budget for vocals, do you have any recommendations for free resources or different approaches without any paywall, without making vocal chops, and without having to sing with my own voice if I think it doesn't suit? Thanks!
I think the problem is your expectations. What you are asking for is pretty ridiculous bro.... The vocals in a Martin Garrix or similar track are created by a whole team of people. A songwriter, a singer, a recording engineer, a mixing engineer and probably several producers. These are all different people who have spent years to perfect their crafts and they get paid accordingly. What could possibly give you the idea that you can get that for free??? If you really want it then work hard and make it happen. Get a second job, save money and hire a great vocalist. Go out into your community and try and meet people who you can collaborate with and make sure you are bringing something to the table. If you have no way to get money then actually put in the effort and LEARN to sing. Basically, your attitude kind of sucks and comes off lazy and entitled. You want everything handed to you and expect it should be free and easy. In the real world that's totally unrealistic. Good luck!
@dilby the Fiverr sample you played... "It's time for the revolution" You know John Summit opened with that vocal in an ID track in his La Shrine Set??? DID U KNOW BRO!?!?!
hey Thx for your video! But I really have a question about copyright when I use RUclips or another platforms to get some vocal. Can I use that vocal and release my track? Thxxxxxxxx!
Love your videos mate. Theres also a site called Vocalizr where you collaborate with vocalists. Full contracts and money held in escrow. Its quite handy.
Nice video ! I'm currently only using Splice but I'm having a hard time finding great vocals for House/Progressive/Trance. It seems like I'm always digging through the same sample packs. Is there a way to get better search results ?
You can use filters to narrow the results and change the order that it displays the results. But basically no shortcuts, just listen for hours. Search outside of the Genre you are making. Of the examples I gave one is Deep House and one is Tech House but the loops are categorised on Splice something like one is Soul and the other Trap.
The vocal is from the track Revolution from around 2000/2001 by an artist called Superchumbo (Tom Stephan). John Submit used the acappella of the original to make the track but then had it resung for the release.
On the Deep End track he used the one I mention in here. On the Revolution track, I checked it and it sounds like he didn't even have the vocal resung. It's the acapella from the original track released on Twisted by Superchumbo / Tom Stephan.
Is it legal to use those videos from RUclips? I mean the Hunger Games one obviously was a no no, but the one with the lady teaching French? Can you just freely use stuff like that or would it need to get cleared?
The original that I had resung on Fiverr is The Revolution by an artist called Superchumbo / Tom Stefan. it came out in 2000. I guess John Summit watches my videos 🤣
Don't know how I stopmed onto this. Anyway Awesome content 🙌🙌. I also have been watching those rather similar from MStarTutorials and kinda wonder how you guys create these vids. MStar Tutorials also had amazing info about similiar things on his vids.
Hey bro thanks for watching. I can't speak for Mstar, but me personally, I try to think of the things I wish I had known sooner and make videos about them.
I'm pretty sure you can afford 60 pounds Dilby... Also it's possible the singer found the lyrics cringe.."get down on your knees, get down on your knees"?

Saw Bibi live once. He was amazing. It’s a crime they hit hanging tree with a copyright strike it was a banger.
For sure. But that's the risk you take with that kind of thing
That Josh Butler find was top notch
It's a good one!
Dilby you're such a legend! Super insightful video, really got me thinking now!
di chiara brothers - 'red wine' uses the same interview as josh butler and bontan use for 'call you back'
Never heard the track before but just checked it. Sounds like they copied the whole groove of Call You Back to be honest. A total bite.
dealing with that issue for a long time, thank you I appreciate
Glad to help mate ✌️
@dilby the Fiverr sample you played... "It's time for the revolution" You know John Summit opened with that vocal in an ID track in his La Shrine Set??? DID U KNOW BRO!?!?!
That Josh Butler track is 🔥
your vids are always like little treasures for me :)
haha, awesome mate
Haha this is brilliant, I love how you hate your own voice recording but I found it to be the better one. Thanks for this!
Thanks mate! But I think there is something wrong with your ears! 😂😂😂

Awesome video, Thanks,,,hoping for part 2
Yes mate, fingers crossed for part 2 🤞

Dude, shhhh! I'm trying to tease a part 2 here! 😂😂😂
@@dilbydj haha sorry pal!!!
Nice content mate!
Hey Victor! Thanks for checking out the channel bro. ✌️
Wow did not know that Josh and Botan ripped it off RUclips !
He has another one from an episode of Joe Rogan too 😉
Can’t find those Cloud samples on Splice?
See my other reply ✌️
Thanks for this! :)
Welcome brother ✌️
Great video! What is the track name at 11:03?
Great stuff m8.
Thanks Steve, glad you enjoyed the content bro
That first tune you were working on where you threw your own recording sounded awesome. Did it ever get released?
Luv it Dilby. Fiverr is interesting platform 👍
Yeah, it's cool. A lot of hunting to find the right vocalist, but so much potential, and it's accesable to everyone which is nice.
Where's part 2?
Nice. Solid advice!
Glad it was helpful!
Heh, my French is not the greatest and it's colloquial, but I'm pretty sure she said "Kiss (the) kitty."

What splice pack are those Cloud samples from?
No idea bro, can't remember. I searched some of the words in the lyrics and they came up. It's a female pop pack from Splice own label.
What's the name of the intro track ? Its awesome
A Flock Of Seagulls - I Ran (Dilby Remix). It's on my soundcloud page
How do you clear a sample that you took from a RUclips video?
@@ConnAndTheThings depends on what the video is, but in the end the answer is basically get permission from the owner if the intellectual property.
method 3 ... some one just gonna sample dilby giving the tutorial
Haha, good luck getting that signed! 😂😂😂
Last bit where he says I found a cool girl who wasn’t too expensive 🙊😂
Hi mate, do you still do mixing and mastering?
Yeah, for sure. Send me an email (the email address is in the description of every video).
@@dilbydj sounds good 👌 I will hit you up
Watching in 2023 and John Summit used that revolution vocal??? Can someone explain??
The vocal is from the track Revolution from around 2000/2001 by an artist called Superchumbo (Tom Stephan). John Submit used the acappella of the original to make the track but then had it resung for the release.
Go dilby
✌️
did john summit use the same sample as you at the end?
On the Deep End track he used the one I mention in here.
On the Revolution track, I checked it and it sounds like he didn't even have the vocal resung. It's the acapella from the original track released on Twisted by Superchumbo / Tom Stephan.
I still have the deep end vocal
Haha, nice one!
I'm a vocalist, problem is the opposite,
where can I find awesome producers to work with?
Message me on Instagram, I can certainly help with this. @dilbydj
«Avoid the cringe» 🤣 love the video!!
😂😂🙌🙌
What is that background track?
It's a bootleg I did of Flock Of Seagulls. It's on my soundcloud :)
@@dilbydj thx! love the video and your content!

No, it's not. You're taking a risk by doing so.
The last vocal is the vocalist in John Summit’s new song Revolution 😅🤣

For real hahaa

Not my lyrics, it's from a classic house track mate. Was a different vocal for the guy. Thanks for watching.
@@dilbydj My bad, thanks for the awesome videos, I was out of line to give you flack!
