My Mom was from Chattanooga,Tennessee and I was told and saw for myself that “Southern Hospitality “ is a creed Southerners live by. ❤ I love Tennessee because of the woman who raised me💕
Just now seeing this. I live 10 minutes north of Nashville. I just wanted to thank you for your video. Must say I'm so very honored that someone nice, from another country would love our food and culture. Nashville is awesome and you're welcome here any time. God bless!!!
In Tennessee it isn't the heat it is the humidity. Glad to see you in my home town. Here is a like and comment to help your channel grow, to appease the great and powerful RUclips algorithm demon, and get you the recognition you deserve.
I'm also excited. It is my birth city. Alas I was raised in Jackson, TN in the western part of the state though. Even still: I'm beyond over-excited to see Marie in Nashville. It's surreal how much she seems to enjoy it. _SO_ cool! Heh heh👍
@frenchtastic exploration Even though I am not the first person to say it “Welcome to Tennessee”. You come at the right or wrong time of the year you can experience all 4 seasons in 24 hours
It absolutely IS the humidity, you are right about that @MidnightSmoke. Luckily for her, it hasn't even gotten hot yet this year. It's June and 62 degrees right now, which almost never happens in Nashville. So she definitely picked a good time to come.
I'm a native Nashvillian 58 yrs. I'm sure you will hit all the tourists spots.Have a safe trip. I grew up in Nashville never played music sang or wore cowboy hats and boots but do get a kick out of tourists. 😂
Dang Bob, you've got me beat. I've only lived in Nashville since 1987. Yeah, almost nobody I've known over the years from here actually wears boots or cowboy hats. In fact hardly anyone does. But we're glad the tourists think we all do. It gives our city a certain charm. I wonder which part of town do you live in? I grew up in Hermitage on the east side, but have now lived in Bellevue on the west side for many years. Have a good one.
As a Southerner, and this is my home state, I truly love that the whole car ride back to the hotel (I presume) that Marie was truly taken aback in a good/positive way with how overly kind many have been in the Volunteer State. Really makes me beam with pride in a way.😊😉☮
Oh yum! You got to eat country ham and red-eye gravy!! I LOVE country ham! That breakfast looked perfect. And you got to see the periodic cicadas! That's a rare treat. Loud!
Um, cicadas a treat? Have you smelled their dead bodies piled around trees? Just yesterday I was weed-eating around trees at several properties and got cicada juice in my face. I nearly threw up. I wouldn't call that a treat.
It's funny you mentioned how green it is, we have a famous folk hero named Davy Crockett, and one of the verses in songs dedicated to him was "born on a mountaintop in Tennessee, the greenest state in the land of the free, raised in the woods so he knew every tree, killed him a bear when he was only three."
Love all your videos, but can we just take a second to acknowledge how beautiful Marie is? Don’t feel like she hears it enough. Truly gorgeous with a fantastic personality! 😊
You should check out South Carolina next. Another beautiful southern state, maybe visit the Myrtle Beach area. It’s been one of the most popular vacation spots in the country for decades.
As a native New Yorker and truck driver who's been all over the United States, I must give kudos to the "southern bible states" for hospitality. They are consummate examples of respect, dignity, and love. I LOVE the "deep south"! America is blessed to have those folks in our Union. Thank God you're back in the USA helping me remember days gone by that I took for granted. Thank you Marie.
As a native Nashvillian, thank you sir for those kind words. We do try to be welcoming to visitors. I'm glad you have enjoyed your trips to the south over the years.
@@annjames1837 I hear no southern accents when I go to Nashville anymore. It's no longer a southern city. And everyone is very rude and dismissive. It's like being in a north eastern city now. You can't make eye contact and certain people bring loud dnd playing music in public. I miss old Nashville. Luckily we can carry legally now 😊
Bonjour Marie, welcome back to America, and welcome to Nashville (aka Music City, the home of country music) I lived in Mississippi for a year, and the people in the South are very friendly and welcoming. And yes, it is very hot and humid. I hope you were able to check out the Grand Ole Opry.
45mph the whole way and they patrol it like hawks. And by "they", I mean the federal government, since it's a federal park. I've been thinking about taking my motorcycle on it, but I don't think I can behave myself.
Shout out to the beautiful Natchez Trace. I'll be driving right past it this afternoon when I go mow a property in Fairview. It is definitely a beautiful drive.
Hi 👋😁 Miss Marie !!! As Always it's Magnificent seeing you Enjoy our Country !!!! It is With Great Pleasure for We The People to embrace your Explorations . !!! The Like Button ✅ has been Illuminated 🤗👍👍😀🇺🇲🌎🎙️🎧🎥💯🔆🌞☀️🏝️🔥🥵
So excited to see you in Tennessee! I live in Chattanooga, TN and I love it here, surrounded by mountains. I also loved to see y'all on the Natchez Trace, my favorite road, especially since it leads to my homestead in Mississippi. (We live about an hour from Natchez and make that trek to Natchez a lot). I can't wait to see where you go next 😄
Welcome to Franklin. Ive lived here for 20 years and in Nashville area for 42 years. You will not find nicer people anywhere. I hope I never have to leave. 3 Mustangs on my street. I didnt realize they were that big of a thing. Rent one and have a great time.
I always enjoy your travel videos, but I like this one even more since I am familiar with the area. My parents grew up not far away from there at all. I've been on some of those roads before.
Bonjour Marie! My buddy and his fiancee are both visiting there right now as well, they went there the day after you and just left as of when this uploaded. He told me of the loud cicadas, lol! He said they have been to that Loveless Cafe and thought that their chicken and biscuits were amazing and delish! As for the chocolate croissant, a restaurant chain called Panera Bread used to have croissants and also would split some the long way and fill them with chocolate and drizzle chocolate and also powdered sugar on top. They got rid of the regular croissants and now serve a chocolate croissant that looks like the one you saw, but it still also has the chocolate drizzle and the powdered sugar on top. I wish they called it something else, because it's not a croissant. Anyway, I hope you have a great time, maybe you'll bump into my buddy and his fiancee, lol! Bonne journee! ~Be Blessed
Love to view your adventures Marie and the reactions! So happy you are back for more American travels; and also sharing your home 🇫🇷experiences as well! Happy travels ✌🏽🥰

My wife was born on the other side of Tennesee. The actual birth was in Kentucky, but she was raised in the tiny city of Speedwell, near Cumberland Gap. Tennesee is a very long state.
I just found your channel and I love that you are randomly exploring the USA. Your accent is great because you’ve totally perfected some sounds and pronunciation but not others, so it sounds like either an American speaking or a French speaking english, and it changes every few words. 😂 ❤
If you happen to come back to St. Louis, we have several French bakeries (like La Pâtisserie Chouquette) where you can get an excellent croissant! Have a fun trip!
According to the experts, for the middle Tennessee area we only have the one. North West TN is getting the double brood. I'll tell you this though, it sure feels like a double brood. This is the most cicadas I've ever seen.
Marie, thanks for visiting again this year, I think you should apply for permanent resident and welcome. It is spring and everything has a fresh coat of green.
Welcome to my home! The cicada you picked up only comes out for about 4-6 weeks every 13 years. Since you are a fan of Ford Mustangs, I assume you could care less about the National Corvette Museum that is located just across the TN/KY border near Bowling Green.
loved nashville when I went, lynchburg tennessee where the jack daniels distillery is was a fun super small town and distillery tour hour drive or so buy some fireworks!
I have lived near Nashville for almost 15 years. I have worked in Nashville and Franklin. I *still* have not yet dined at the Loveless Cafe, but I intend to do so sometime. That breakfast looked delicious! 🤤 I have driven on the very northernmost portion of Natchez Trace. Very scenic! There are two varieties of cicadas: the 17-year brood, and the 13-year brood. I am uncertain which is which. You saw both of them. Yes, they are so loud! Both broods are emerging this year - a very rare occurrence! The wood-board map of Tennessee appeared accurate to me. I think that your friend’s “correction” is wrong. Did you visit the guitar manufacturer Gibson?
I see you were in Franklin , Tennessee . There was a terrible Civil War battle there ,where the Confederate Army of Tennessee was virtually destroyed thanks to their idiot leader , General Hood. My great great grandfather's youngest brother was killed there .
Small community somewhere basicly in franklin called tiune in may is the tennessee renn fest if you drove down 840 thats the big castle you cant miss i worked road contruction i paved 840 and fyi that 1 bridge diffwrent company did that i agree what were they thinking
Marie - one more to work on. “Desert” [des-sert] - Landscape with spare vegetation and little rain. “Dessert” [d’sirt] - Cheesecake, Crème brûlée. Despite the how they are spelled, for some unknown reason “Desert” takes longer to enunciate than “Dessert”.
6:50 - this bridge has been in a few commercials, most recently Toyota. The fencing is somewhat recent due to mentally unwell people unfortunately ending their life there.
Your buddy Jimbo took you to every Tourist Trap that was handy..... Loveless Cafe is Over Priced, Over Sold and is a hint of reality..... It is owned by a movie caterer. Next time, skip the "traps" and go visit the smaller county seats for real meat-n-3, the people (65% of the people in Franklin/Williamson County) are transplant, hence the "croissant" fair, and it is only fair... The real State, People and Lifestyle is Out of the confines of Nashville, Davidson County......and certainly away from the interstate road system....
That's because it's Franklin TN, which is in Williamson County, one of the ten wealthiest counties in America. If you think those food prices are high, you should see the real estate.
I'm not sure whether Nashville is at the eastern end of the the country where the Periodic Cicada happens. Or more west where the Annual Cicada comes out every year. Maybe even a place where they get both. The periodic is very loud because they are so many. Actually the annual Cicada is larger & more noisy, there just aren't as many so it isn't so loud.
Red eye gravy is too fluid to put on the ham - you use the biscuit to "sop up" the gravy! Also, a dab of gravy on scrambled eggs is GOOD! We have 2 types of cicadas here - the other type is bigger & black. We have fat, happy birds thanks to the swarms of cicadas!
My Mom was from Chattanooga,Tennessee and I was told and saw for myself that “Southern Hospitality “ is a creed Southerners live by. ❤ I love Tennessee because of the woman who raised me💕

Glad you made it to Franklin. I was there just yesterday. Should have eaten at Puckett’s!
The best!
Tennessee is ALL green, sweetie.

Welcome back to America sweet Marie. Looking forward to the new adventure.
I just moved to Nashville from Georgia a month ago. I’ve also commented on how green it is (lack of pine trees for me as compared to back home)
Another high-quality video. Really enjoyed it. You do need to rent a Mustang while your in the States..even if it's just for a day or two.

If u visit or drive by Great Smoky Mountain it will be even more green!!!
I use to live near Nashville. They built Opreyland behind our house. 2219 Cabin Hill Rd. To this day I miss the friends we left behind. Good people!
coffee is used to deglaze the pan with the meat drippings. Like the wine one uses when making Coq au vin.
Beautiful! Great job~!

Im in Wisconsin which is lovely but i recommend you go to the u.p. of Michigan ( in the summer), its beautiful and a great spot to spend a week
We are all so glad that you had mostly a good time here
I see you were in Franklin , Tennessee . There was a terrible Civil War battle there ,where the Confederate Army of Tennessee was virtually destroyed thanks to their idiot leader , General Hood. My great great grandfather's youngest brother was killed there .
Love that area. Slept one night on the state capital lawn.
If you make it to Bristol (about 4 hours east of Nashville) look me up. I will show you around the area.
🤠
It looks like they didn't overcook the eggs. We tend to do that. Chocolat Croissant... why not? The idea of Escargot seems wrong.
Peace, Love!!
Small community somewhere basicly in franklin called tiune in may is the tennessee renn fest if you drove down 840 thats the big castle you cant miss i worked road contruction i paved 840 and fyi that 1 bridge diffwrent company did that i agree what were they thinking
3:04 Mustang, dream car for Marie to drive and own
9:52 Mustang again for Marie
The USA is green once you hit Eastern Kansas
Marie - one more to work on.
“Desert” [des-sert] - Landscape with spare vegetation and little rain.
“Dessert” [d’sirt] - Cheesecake, Crème brûlée.
Despite the how they are spelled, for some unknown reason “Desert” takes longer to enunciate than “Dessert”.
Also the way she said "welcoming". We say well-cah-MING instead of well-COME-ing.
Did you see where Ford is keeping the V8 engine for the Mustang, where Dodge and Chevy are dropping theirs? You'll get that muscle car yet!

My brother is left handed and taught himself how to play a right handed guitar
Marie, I think you should stay in America for at least 1-2 months or 1 in a half months.
I think your ready to stay a little longer
Lastly Marie, bring your mother to visit America with you and drive in America again pls.
She needs to rent a "Moostang" ❤
The city of Franklin was the site of a major American Civil War battlefield.
you should see the natchez trace in fall color! sorry about the cicadas! once every 13 years
Those food prices are crazy high.
That's because it's Franklin TN, which is in Williamson County, one of the ten wealthiest counties in America. If you think those food prices are high, you should see the real estate.
It’s become a tourist Mecca.
We get both. The annual cicadas aren't nearly as prolific as other places I've been to, but they do exist.
@@operator0 Thought so. At least the birds & lizards are fat & happy for a while. 🙂
I want to see her reaction to Tennessee wineries. And she needs to go to Paris, TN., I think she was too late for the Fair and Fish Fry.
I live in Nashville and all the people wearing cowboy stuff are tourists. We don't wear that stuff.
We have been interested in moving to Franklin Tennessee near Leiper’s Fork
I hope you have a lot of money, especially for Leiper's Fork.
Maybe a good next level word for nice would be; delightful
Red eye gravy is too fluid to put on the ham - you use the biscuit to "sop up" the gravy! Also, a dab of gravy on scrambled eggs is GOOD!
We have 2 types of cicadas here - the other type is bigger & black. We have fat, happy birds thanks to the swarms of cicadas!
Wow, did you get this up quick.
Yay 😁
Yes its hot here but if you dobt like just wait we can do and often have all 4 seasons in 1 day whats the climate of tennessee? Yes!
Okay Marie. You have to get a American boy friend or husband . Maybe a rich guy. LOL I love you're visit videos. Hell you are American.
I hope you can stop by The Hermitage. The home of one of our more "colorful" Presidents, Andrew Jackson.
🇫🇷⚜🇫🇷🧙🏻♂
I hope you made it to the Honky Tonk Highway on Broadway St....or you missed out.
Just saw you made it.
*Question: Have you considered learning French Acadian or Cajun French? (Properly)?
