THANK YOU! Just picked up this TV from a Black Friday sale and the main reason I got it was for my Series X to do 4k at 120hz. You're a life saver man. I imagine more and more people will find this because of TV sales going on right now too lol
Just bought a Sony X90L, gives you even less info at the HDMI screen but man was this ever helpful. Thanks so much dude! I was ready to rip the tv off the wall
Here is my problem: I did everything you said but certain streaming apps and games play at an even lesser refresh than if the tv was set to 60 HZ, and I made sure Game Mode was turned off. What is the problem?
Great info, but I think there is an issue with 120hz on this TV. The picture has blur. Sony plans to resolve the issue with a future firmware release. FYI... games look best on the Series X with the port set to Dolby Vision. I did some testing with this, and Dolby Vision has a slight edge. You only get 60 FPS, but why does anyone need anything more

Skyworth2021 tv would not recommend. It doesn’t have a settings button or a label telling you the hdmi output dose that
I did this, and now I can't go back to letting it allow 4K, now it says my TV doesn't allow 4K when I select the option to allow it

You probably don’t have the latest Sony update
Make sure you have the latest firmware update, Dolby Vision is only available on ports 3 and 4
Yah I just downloaded the new firmware to a flash drive and installed it on the tv and now all works great :)

What is your TV model?
@@arthur445 I have the UN65NU6900F
@@mmarquez496 that’s a 60Hz TV so you won’t be able to use 120FPS. You will need to find a TV that supports HDMI 2.1, you have HDMI 2.0 I believe
Thank you!
