I remember JA saying that Joz and Easy were kings of the streets when it came to bombing which is true. however, he doesn't give himself enough credit. he is the longest-lasting street bomber in the history of Bombing period. Also, he has bombed with every generation of graffiti writers from old to new. A lot of people don't know this. I know him personally and he will not give himself enough credit for what he's done!!!
i started writing in like 1999 but across the country where BTM/3a started. our vibe was a little different out here. SF bus flow and hollows had a huge influence up here because in those days you would get buffed before the morning commute (these days, everything is smashed). met all kinds of dudes throughout my years. really studied the history of the guys before me. i don't really participate anymore but the love for the sport never died. some of my favorite memories are just wandering around the yards with someone who shares the same kind of passion for this stuff as i do, with someone who can hold a genuine conversation. it would be rad to walk around NYC with someone who knows the cuts. appreciate you taking the time to wander around and bench etc. for us. crazy seeing JA still so active..forreal. when i visit NYC i get way more hype than i should when i see OG's still smashing. i feel like it's honestly been a renaissance lately (not that JA ever slowed down).
The reason I say thanks and appreciate what you do is because of this! I can look at flicks I can see posts and short vids...but here you are out there at the spots, finding and seeking, documenting as well as having your own true appreciation and passion. So thanks!! Keep 'em coming....BANGA'!!!!!!!
King j.a. living legend ..ain't nobody ducking with his style simple but killer...perfecting since God know when...5 second do one ja ask him he knows..
Let me say something… I was born in 76 from the L.E.S and I have a brother and sister 13 and 12 years older than me who weren’t allowed to go outside, unless they took me with them … I never comment on Graff and I’m not a Graffiti Writer but Growing Up in the Streets I never saw anyone with more tags in EVERY BORO AND HOOD as JA … That JA inside the bomb was everywhere… Then early 90’s I started seeing it in movies on the West Coast … So when it comes to ups , I don’t think anyone’s touching him
@The Graffiti Wanderer: Big humble shout out to JA XTC MOB! JA is a super cool ass cat, educated, great taste for food, and humorous too. I chilled at his cool apartment, and went on a couple of street/train tunnel bombs with him out in Spanish Harlem back in the dayzzzz. And after all the trance music came to a screeching halt, so to speak, he told me to push XTC crew. I trusted him with my life, and I usually don't do that with someone I just met. He, like me, is a dedicated, live graffiti writer. I'm still ACTIVE with the sticker and paint marker game out in Los Angeles, California but I'm about to drop a series of street bombs soon. I have just been too busy with college and gonna get even busier because I'm transferring to the University level for Fall semester 2024. That just being said, but I'm still going to squeeze in some time to, in stages, "tear up" Los Angeles California like a school of red-bellied piranhas! ("S0e" P2D, XTC 4 Life, baby!)
The catching tag kings of City gates after Joz, Josh 5, and Easy were Nose, Hec, and Sue. They had every gate in the city hit up, and they were all high tags with 5 finger caps. R.i.p Hec. JA was a peanut in this era. Trake had more tags than JA.
Yes did them some on the trains and a few peace’s on the streets! But they are fare and few in between!! Lol I can definitely piece he just doesn’t want to!!!
He whos gets up and bombs the most is no Picasso. Wasted all that time and paint. There is graffiti and then there is graffiti ART. Think about it lol 😅
How are they getting those real high up spots these days where there's no ledges? They using those portable ladder things or are even the old school heads using the repelling gear now?
The guys a solid legend, I read the rolling stone interview in 90s, I was like damn hes just like us in 215 then i started seeing Ja's in N philly he slammed near n philly station i just got photos. Hell ya thx buddy! I really liked seeing this tonight.
@known_unknown284 Ya I know a few places to see some JA's , I think you can even see a JA tag in rocky5 under the EL , N philly was completely slammed back then with tons of serious writers. Its always cool to see JA show up in 215.
@@cavanfarr Check out Michael Jackson's 'BAD' video. I think there's a SMITH tag on some steps. I haven't watched it for over 10 years, but I still remember it.

There is no finish line.
Best believe... if there was a finish line ....JA would have crossed it a long a$$ time ago ...💣💣💣💣💣💣🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁👑👑👑👑
You can never be finished because they always will have the Buff and too him that’s unacceptable lol
I see Ja I smash 💥 a like button. Set as well. The 90s interview in Rolling stone got me hooked.

Kornball Bros.
Has JA ever done a piece? I dont think I have ever seen one? He only makes throw ups and tags?
he's the king of throw ups. i don't think he's into the art aspect, but more so the bombing/getting up aspect.
If I remember correctly in one of his interviews, he mentioned doing pieces on subway trains when he was younger. And he had some pics, too
i mean sometimes you’ll see a straightletter from him
He has done piece old days on train lirr or subway with the hook looking J probably later eighties the pics are out there

I ask my mother what does it say, she says no no, it's no good. They are not allowed to do that on the wall. Dude was freaking hilarious.😂
Last clip was sick
Dude does not slow down.
It's always epic to see a JA tag in the street.
How are they getting those real high up spots these days where there's no ledges? They using those portable ladder things or are even the old school heads using the repelling gear now?
Jet packs 🛩️🎒
Both. 18-20 ft contractible ladders and repelling from rope
Thanks! I was curious. @@TheLifePhoenix
