Chris has his facts wrong. USC has not won more games than Oregon in the last 20 years. USC has most of their wins in the last 20 years from 2003 to 2008 and after that they have a big drop off. Oregon has most of their wins from 2008 on and lead USC 196-194 with most of those wins coming the last 10 years with several Rose Bowl wins and several natty appearances. USC topped off in 2008 and had one Rose Bowl win in 2016. That is why the perception is that USC has not been very successful because since 2008 they have not won much. Also, USC usually goes 30 years plus between championships. The last time they paid for one was in 2003-2004 but before that they followed the SMU championship payment plan in the 1970's where they bought a couple and that is how they bought their blue blood status. Oregon did not buy any championships so no, it will not be considered a traditional blue blood.
@@lawrencesmith9059 It was actually a combination of coaches. Lane Kiffin, Helton and Sark. All averaged 65% winning percentage. The best coaches in USC history were Howard Jones 75% and 4 national titles, John McKay 75% with 4 national titles, John Robinson 75% with 1 title and Pete Caroll 84% with two titles. Looks like the magic winning percentage is at least 75% if USC wants to make it back. To date, Riley is at 78%.
LR lost 5 games last year with CW, in the PAC. Are we expecting him to have a better season playing in the big 10 with Miller Moss? Hmmmm. I’m not sure what the path to winning at the level SC fans are expecting with LR at the Healy. Changing DC’s may be a little step in the right direction but success on that side of ball takes more than just a change at DC. The same players are still there, the culture is established and the same guy is in the captains chair. Just don’t see it.
I will keep saying this. Go watch the Holiday Bowl. Caleb would have lost that game. He has incredible skills but not incredible mental mastery of the game. The reason Caleb ran around so much is that he wont throw balls into tight windows. Moss is whip-smart and will get the ball out on time and give his playmakers a chance to make the play. Moss has a tighter connection to the receivers than Caleb ever had. Riley can trust Moss, by the end of the season, Caleb and Riley were not on the same page. Maeva is a great talent who will listen and learn, so Moss has competition. Regarding defense, you couldnt be more wrong. We have plenty of great players in the secondary and linebackers. We have great talent at d-line too, but are short a piece or two in the center, so D'Anton needs to scheme up to cover up that one deficiency. Top 20 defense in the country for certain. Run defense will be the key here. Depth is an issue and the wrong injuries could derail this team, that is my only caveat. The Big10 outside of Ohio State is overrated. Who are the top quarterbacks in the Big10? Oregon and Ohio State are the teams to beat, along with USC.
I would say Oklahoma is playing much better defensee and the insinuation that OU has no room to talk I would say the stats strongly disagree. 23’ team defense OU ranked 49th (per sports reference) 49-Oklahoma 13 23.5 20.7 36.5 56.8 250.8 1.4 35.5 138.6 3.9 1.1 71.9 389.4 5.4 10.8 7.3 1.8 20.0 5.8 47.8 0.5 1.5 2.0 USC Ranked 121 121 -USC 13 34.4 20.5 32.1 64.0 246.4 2.4 38.9 186.5 4.8 1.9 71.0 432.8 6.1 10.3 9.8 2.6 22.7 6.3 54.6 0.7 0.5 1.2
Didn’t Venables get fired as dc at oklahoma for having habitually grinch like defenses? ✌🏽 Correction, he voluntarily left after giving up the 55th ranked defense in the nation, prompting stoop to bring Mike in as co dc
So look at how long it took Saban to compete for a Natty, look how long it to Kirby to get there. It doesn’t happen overnight but it starts this season. Last season was what 22 shoulda been. Patience, if you build it they will come.
This is why I love college football because of the fan bases talking trash. Oklahoma going to SEC is not going to bode well. They should of stayed in Big12. Big mistake!
Oklahoma has a better Administration, NIL & are recruiting a whole lot better than USC.. Are we blaming USC performance on the field for USC recruiting struggles? Is that the same issue for A&M, Auburn, Florida, Notre Dame, Tennessee? Bcuz all these schools are recruiting extremely well, and haven't done crap on the field! It's about the NIL! USC IS NOT COMPETITIVE IN THE NIL SPACE!
Stop! AD Jen and NIL CEO are the problems. The $ game has changed. Step up or step aside. Young 5 star talents don't really know Trojan football history. They know more about Georgia, Alabama, Oregon and now Colorado.
The SEC is in full attack mode on USC, after we came into Georgia and temporarily took some of their stars. USC fans need to show some backbone here. Riley is an excellent coach who made a huge mistake keeping Grinch. Even the best need learning experiences. Now he hired a great staff and can resolve his defense issues. If you are a USC fan and attack Riley, you only hurt the program and reinforce this fake narrative by commentators like Finebaum. Riley is NOT Helton. USC would be stupid to let him go. Once the USC juggernaut starts rolling, we will steal ALL the 5 star recruits and destroy the SEC. The on-field results this year will be excellent (see my other comments for the winning formula). Riley is going to be out for blood, so look for him to try to decimate LSU, to send a message to the SEC. Run the score up big and dont let up until the fat lady sings. FTFO.
Funny you guys will say it’s not about NIL and that guys want to see results when they choose to go to schools like tOSU instead, well what about Noah Milkhal choosing tamu?
You guys are getting your panties in a bundle. Oregon fans don't consider Oregon a blue blood even though Oregon has been playing college football since 1894. Oregon won the Rose Bowl in 1916. Oregon's football history is over 100 years old and so is USC. Oregon does not have the football state tradition and they don't care about being considered a blue blood. The discussion about Oregon being a blue blood did not start with Hopkins. It started from the On3 people who consider Oregon a blue blood from a brand and popularity perspective.
Chris Arledge's is the best Salute to him! Chris's summery rant from 23:59 to 25:57 is epic. For any lost in the sauce sports writer or columnist to think if Oregon wins 1 Natty their suddenly a blue blood program is preposterous. That would simply be Woke Oregonian crazy cat lady thinking. 1 correction in the past 20 years USC does not have 1 Heisman winner we have 2 & a if we go back 21 years we have 3 Heisman winners so the idea that 1 Natty for Oregon would somehow equate & qualify as a Blue Blood program is silly. So lets call out that delusional duck narrative & the crazy Duck fans talking that non-sense & put the brakes on that Duck talk right here.. We can put a fork in that Oregon Duck supposed Blue Blood program conversation right now because that Duck is done! Chirs is right 1 Natty & their equal to a Colorado but definitely not even close to a Blue Blood Program. All Facts FIGHT ON!!!!!!!
Lincoln Riley’s teams will always be soft until he gets rid of that yoga instructor of a strength coach lol defense is one thing, being soft is a completely other problem. His teams just aren’t tough, and the big 10 is going to expose that
In this new era of CF I'd rather be a $Green$ blood than a Blue Blood... Oregon has spent the last 25 years preparing for this time and now they are way ahead of the curve. BTW, Ducks are 7-3 vs USC over the last ten games. Can USC claim to be a BB outside the Pete Carroll era?
Oregon is a pretender? LOL. Back to back top 5 classes probably. I'd rather be a fan of a pretender program trending the way Oregon is, then a 'blue blood' program struggling to get back to the glory days.
You just have to love Chris for saying “I love Brent Venables ever since that time he gave up fifty five points to USC in a bowl game. My Gawd... We are in your f-ing head.... Where in the F is USC in the top 25 in recruiting? hahahahaha your toddler gag was funny. There are SEC coaches all across the conference that have Oklahoma's D in the top 4 in the SEC. USC D will be in the basement in the Big 10. If Arnold can pull the 2022 Gatorade player of the year out and the MVP of the Elite 11... Watch out. Yes, I was pissed when TBOW left.. i realized Venables has the ability to recruit and sign 5 star D-tackles, Ends Safeties, Corners and Linebackers while Riley loses them. After USC goes 2-4 by the time USC head to Maryland. The USC ground swell will have taken hold and Riley will be basically gone by the time UCLA beats the trojans. Hell... Riley might not even be the head coach to watch the stomping from Notre Dame. Utah St, Minnesota, Maryland and Rutgers are USC 5 wins.. I was going to give you 6.. But Nebraska will find a way to climb back into life.
And when Riley is fired from USC. Oklahoma fans were mad because TBOW took CW. No one cared about Riley or Grinch.
And Oregon has at least $30 million to play with every year just from Unk
Lol.. but you guys are in sunny LA with Blue Blood history. You cant pull recruits? These kids dont care about your history.. lol. And why you guys dont have money is actually hilarious..
BV has 3 Nattys, TBOW has zero. And I’ll give you the 55-19 Orange Bowl. We’re just trying to warn yall no hate from OU. I’ll get at you after week 3 I’m subbing now☝🏽⭕️
@djspeccs....dis ingenious at best .....he was a dc....NOT a head coach....dishonest ass
We had Clay Helton at the helm, maybe THAT was the problem.
Your lost no doubt about it delusional ate up in the USC hater sauce
Mark Cusano is the ONLY answer!
Just wait until year 3 rolls around SC fans. It’s gonna get worse

Didn’t Venables get fired as dc at oklahoma for having habitually grinch like defenses? ✌🏽
Correction, he voluntarily left after giving up the 55th ranked defense in the nation, prompting stoop to bring Mike in as co dc
He was never fired and ou defense fell apart after he left
So look at how long it took Saban to compete for a Natty, look how long it to Kirby to get there. It doesn’t happen overnight but it starts this season. Last season was what 22 shoulda been. Patience, if you build it they will come.
Nice try, Chris. You can't make me dislike you.
Riley left Oklahoma with no damn talent or depth
This is why I love college football because of the fan bases talking trash. Oklahoma going to SEC is not going to bode well. They should of stayed in Big12. Big mistake!
You can't honestly say that. Because you're just assuming and speculating. Only time will tell.
Living in the past.....
Package folt cohen and the NIL guy for Bruce Jenner Wheaties boxes.
More women watch we just don’t comment on silly questions about non usc topics ✌🏻
You will never find me in a chokelahoma video wasting my time on a mediocre program 🤣🤣
FTFO.
Maybe you can spend more time on Oregon next week.... NOT
Funny you guys will say it’s not about NIL and that guys want to see results when they choose to go to schools like tOSU instead, well what about Noah Milkhal choosing tamu?
George Achica.
Can we put a Biden trump debate rule in place and shut kulkin up when McKinney is talking
USC TROJANS FOOTBALL 🏈 LUCHAR EN ✌️..
I have not seen 1 duck fan say the ducks are a blue blood program 😂😂.
Lincoln Riley’s teams will always be soft until he gets rid of that yoga instructor of a strength coach lol defense is one thing, being soft is a completely other problem. His teams just aren’t tough, and the big 10 is going to expose that
He’ll want to be here in 2025 ✌️
SC couldn’t keep the Ducks out of Big ten. 😅😢😂
Yummy yummy years 😂😂😂. What a bunch of losers 😂😂😂
You just have to love Chris for saying “I love Brent Venables ever since that time he gave up fifty five points to USC in a bowl game. He’s always been a good friend of mine.”
Chris: I’m not going to ask you if Brent Venables is actually a good friend of yours. What I am going to do is recommend that you pick up a good life insurance policy right after all of those Oklahoma fans finish listening to your remarks about their football program. That, along with finding a really, really good witness protection program that you can enter into. Thankfully you will still be able to stay on with the Trojan Huddle and keep us all entertained as you continue to keep on “poking the bear” from there!
O stands for 0 titles
You don’t remember because you didn’t even watch the game. Tell me again without telling me you don’t know anything about college football
Jesus Christ, I know Chris cheats ‼️💯 mark on every single show as we all know some shows more than others but you see👀👀 how he just said yeah that’s a good point Erik .. I’ll take a point from from Marc .. LOL 🤣🤣🤣 just him mention it let you know how he thinks 💭🤔 he just cheats. I have no idea what he has against that good man .. Mr Marc Kulkin.. and he can.. play it off all he wants like he. Likes.. Mr Marc Kulkin.. but . No, Chris don’t not doing that. That’s too much every show that’s not playing that’s something personal and Marc Kulkin💯 such a nice guy 🗡️✌🏽😁.. he can’t. See 👀👀 it no worries. Mr Marc Kulkin🗡️✌🏽😁Fight On 🗡️✌🏽😁Fam
ChokeLahoma fans have a below average HC . 55-19 🤣🤣
Your head coach chokes in games all the time. What are you talking about? It's funny how USC fans are just like Miami fans. Just love living in the past during the glory days. Because that's the only thing they have to hold on to. Because they haven't been or done anything relevant in recent memory.
Brent is mid. Your defense is still
Soft
@@gsands2948 USC fan trying to talk about soft defenses is funny of itself. Your head coach is literally known for not knowing or having a defense during his who career. And being softer than baby shit. OU this past year was 77th in total defense while USC with 116th. So again what are you talking about. Completely naive.
@@gsands2948 A USC fan trying to talk about soft defenses is funny of itself. Your head coach is known for having bad soft defense daring his whole career. This past year In total defense OU was rank 77th. While USC was 116th in total defense. Again what you talking about.
@@gsands2948 And Lincoln Riley is the most overrated head coach there is. Nothing but hype.
Army navy
What happen to the old guy?
Paul Finebaum predicts Lincoln Riley will be fired at the end of 2024 football season. Finebaum thinks Riley is overrated.
LR needs a come to jesus moment, bc his approach to coaching and the game are wrong. He needs a serious session of introspection and the willingness to remake himself. Otherwise, USC is wasting time on another coach.
He had that at the end of last season! Or maybe you haven't seen the focus this off season on the defensive side of the ball! If you haven't then you just haven't been paying attention!
@@robdavis3967 no. he still hasn't learned his lesson. that powder puff affair in the spring game tells you all you need to know.
Riley, sadly, is turning into an overpriced flop. ✌️
@@brianjacob8728this coming from someone who’s never been the Head Coach of a D1 school not a single day in his entire life 😂
@@Mzbbxhfbfnsx you have no idea where I've coached. But you obviously know dick about football.

Like Stoops, Switzer and countless other former head coaches in all the blue blood programs that can go back to their prior job and get love and be honored by the university and the fan base. Riley won't have no body other than possibly Tech will give him some love. oh.. he can always go back and be the head coach at Muleshoe High... cult hero.. O.J... didn't you guys recognize his death?
K, keep some receipts and stick around if and when you get shellacked
