- This is the third installment in our Durham Wildlife Trust series.
Hannahs meadow is one of the Durham Wildlife trust reserves near Barnard Castle . We spent some time in the reserve and made this video to show its beauty this time of year. This meadow and barn once belonged to Hannah Hauxwell, the star of the documentary 'Too long a winter'. The documentary showed Hannah's tough lifestyle and hard work ethic as she ran the farm she loved.

When did she pass away? And does anyone know where she lies? If I ever pass by that way it would be an homour to visit her gave and lay some flowers there in rememberance of her and as a tribute to her.
She passed away at the ripe old age of 91 in 2018 but I couldnt tell you where her final resting place is sorry....ive watched all her videos she was such an eloquent and simply wonderful lady RIP
