If you think about it, reo is the best scouter/manager in blue lock, he literally found a kid that knew NOTHING about football and turned him into one of the highest ranked blue lock players in a matter of MONTHS.

Each chapter is 40 pages long
Nagi never really had a mental breakdown compared to the others so this was inevitable. One thing about his spinoff was that it was planned ever since the start of bl. His journey is clearly finding his love of football and himself in general. According to the author he was supposed to represent another way to blue lock so I'm not worried about him.

I think that if Nagi really started putting an effort into developing into a better overall playmaker, he would be a demon. I think that while Reo helps Nagi,he really needs a long term goal that would drive him more. I think that Manchester Shine vs Ubers would definitely be a place for him to evolve in

I mean Nagi is a goated character, already one of the best players in blue lock even though he started playing football/soccer later compared to most of the cast, with limited ingame knowledge, he's gotten this far with talent and a bit of hard work, he's definitely gonna do more later on. The issue with Nagi as a character, and I say this out of love as he's my favorite character, is that his ego is very dependant on his goals as a player. But so far, and it's very much in character, his goals have been very, very short sighted (ie. I want to beat Isagi, and we see his Ego disappear after doing all that crazy shit to score on Isagi). He's not thinking very far ahead, just like how he's unable to think far ahead on the soccer field as well. It's because he's very much a player that's still learning the game, and the author makes it very clear that he's still learning the game as he draws Nagi has a baby chick or having him pose as the thinking man. Nagi's floor as a player is incredibly high, and it'll only get higher as his soccer/football knowledge grows to greater heights. The critisims at time, of course, are warranted, but the ceiling that Nagi has as a player feels almost infinite.

The fact that nagi is keeping up with people with metavision without even having unlocked it yet basically tells you everything you need to know, this guy's "awakening" was literally him starting to actually try, basically like when Saitama starts using "serious punch." the moment Nagi has his actual awakening he's gonna skyrocket

If I really think about it, most characters in Blue Lock are solely focused on getting to the top, so I think it's a breath of fresh air if Nagi's purpose wasn't to be the best, but to love the sport. So I don't think he really needs to be able to stand toe-to-toe or even be better than Isagi and his rivals

I think Nagi is too pure atm. I hope he gets a twisted ego that seems like a short term motivation but it’s borderline unattainable so he still keeps growing. Like a rivalry with someone better than him or anything really.
It’s clear that Nagi just hasn’t loved the game enough to the point where losing or not being the best player on field would absolutely kill his morale. He’d get a bit angry, but that’s about it. What’s actually crazy is that he’s got the highest potential out of everyone in BL in my opinion. Eventually, he’ll be passionate enough that he will improve exponentially and reach his potential. I see in him a much better sae itoshi when he gets there.

I, honestly, would love it if Nagi (& Reo) proved that there's more ways of going to the top than Ego's way. Kaneshiro says his route is a secret path and I hope that he can manage to find his way into the podium while not necessarily sticking to the same Blue Lock mold that they want to encapsulate every striker in. I mean, it would be a nice contrast to Isagi's Egoism and would explain why Nagi, of all people, gets a spin-off.
I think fans would love it more if nagi straight up seperates from reo and actually learn to improve by himself. As long has he's with reo he'll be stuck.

Personally I think Nagi is still a top 5 player (Not counting new gen 11) even with his lack of drive in the recent chapters. He’s 92 overall rated which is higher than most in the manga, and he has some of the best feats in the series so far, even excluding his 5 shot. Even narratively he should be a top 5 player since he’s one of Isagis main rivals. Great review tho he’s been getting too much hate recently😭
no hate but half of what u just commented doesnt make sense to me. chigiri, reo, rin, shidou, bachira, and arguably even barou has better feats than him excluding his five shot revolver fake volley. And even if u include his five shot revolver fake volley feat he still isnt better than them. He's mainly low ranked because he cant replicate his best feat while all of the characters I mentioned are consistently on that level. The five shot revolver fake volley feat only puts him close to the characters I mentioned before it doesnt make him better than them. The only thing he has going for him is his undiscovered potential and overwhelming talent. And as long as he sticks with reo he aint gonna go far.

I think guaranteeing you make the lifetime salary of the average Japanese man only off 4 games in a league of superstar football players is a HUGE goal for someone younger than 18, especially being done for the purpose of never having to work again. Barou is already a 1/3 of that 300mil in about two games, so exponentially he won't even make Nagi's 'goal' even though he probably will score more goals.
If making that 300mil is a serious lifegoal for Nagi, it shouldn't be accomplished just in the NEL, in my humble opinion.
Nagi just needed to learn to love soccer, which he's done. He's said multiple times that he's actually just started to enjoy soccer lately. Just wait until the U-20 World Cup arc. Nagi will be a starter, just like always. He's not fallen just yet.
Most people dont even get why Ego thinks his goal is unreplicable. If he managed to become a more assertive player and changed his frame of mind to be able to enter flow, rather than just being bored, he could do shit as crazy as Noa has done. Like, him having the element of surprise on Kaiser and Isagi and being in flow produced that bullshit supergoal... Imagine what other insane shit he could pull. Pre video if this is talking about how everyone expected NAGI who has like 2 months of football experience to develop some ridiculous football iq then I fully agree that it is impossible in the time constraints plus a lot of the training was physical conditioning so there was no real opportunity for NAGI to develop mental skills which take time and diligence plus what makes NAGI a prodigy is his only weapon which is his god given trapping/flexibility which is a weapon that can only be fully utilised by getting a pass also he lacks fundamentals so he can’t effectively attack on his own so the effectiveness of his weapon comes from the passer which is the brain guiding the action of NAGI the body so when a player like reo with perfectly balanced fundamentals and a highly developed football iq is the brain nagi can surpass anything he could do alone as his weapon only helps his handling of the reciving and the shooting skill he possesses so reo is like nagi hitting the jackpot as he can play at a level 100000000000000000 of times higher than he would have on his own 😊

Nagi’s character work will be 2nd to none I have a feeling him and barou will change the most character wise. We already see barou backing up snuffy and his mindset. Maybe his “super goal” might make social media influence his ego.
I beg to disagree. Reo's Character is the best as of now, even better than Isagi. Yes Nagi as a chracter is pretty good but that talent is the only keep him relevant. Maybe in the future, Nagi is the talent itself, for instance he wanted to beat Isagi and he did it. He would be now facing a slump because ohim having no particular goal and in this case Isagi would be a mile ahead of him and Nagi- as a interpret his chracter would catch up to isagi with limited time.
I read a charcter like Nagi while ago, not lazy but super cocky, he doesnt really have a goal and is super talented to the point of making other genius despair, but the mc is a weak guy that only continue to move forqard so he hated that "genius". I saw this as Isagi might be the only driving force for Nagi's growth contsatnly surpassing one another. It cant be Noel Noa or Julian Loki since Nagi plays against them but as of now hr shows no interest on those charcaters. On the otherhand, I think Reo's chracter and "chameleon" has a lot of room for development and his persona itslef is pretty powerful considering that he is not his weaknrss but Nagi.

The five Shot revolver can't be replicated because the Opponents can't be Replicated it was a show of skill and reaction not a formula hence Ego is right. I love Nagi but he will never be able to replicate that five shot again. He's still up there with a lot more to get up there but it was a sick goal none the less
I'm with ego on this one, replicating a shot like that again would be down right impossible, even IF it's our lazy prodigy nagi, the only reason nagi scored that goal in the first place was because he had help from reo, and was also driven and motivated on trying to defeat isagi, now that he has done that, he isn't as motivated to keep on playing as much as he used to anymore, all he can do now is find another thing that could give him the motivation that he needs to keep on playing, like getting a ¥300M offering so that he doesn't have to worry about money ever again or fullfiling his dream of winning the world cup with reo, overall that's practically the only things that gives nagi the little motivation that he has left at this point.
I think Nagi is thr persona of talent while Isagi is hardwork. Isagi would probably will be the rank 1, through hardwork. But Nagi is set to surpass him everytime making them a rival surpassing one another.

Nah that's unlikely, since Reo's ego was all about not caring about how rich he is, but all about proving that if he wants something he's going to get it.
While Nagi's ego is still unawakened at best, it's way more dangerous than Reo's since Nagi hates the frustration of losing more than he hates hardwork

If Nagi gives up because Reo can’t push him anymore that might be more than Reo could take. And Reo dying because of his laziness(maybe in his mind) might be enough to wake Nagi’s ego up. It’s dark don’t get me wrong but I could see it happening.
