- I went in search of the Cave of Evil Spirits at Devil's Hole State Park, Lewiston, Niagara Falls, New York. USA . It was given the name by the Seneca Indians. On September 14, 1763, a large Seneca band of an estimated 300-500 warriors ambushed a Wagon train and its armed escort in route from Fort Schlosser to Fort Niagara as it passed through Devils Hole. The soldiers suffered a loss of 81 dead and 8 wounded.
Wonderful 👍
Many thanks
3 decades ago? Funny I didn't hear about it growing up, nice
Well that was a long winded effort to avoid the real cave! The last video I watched, the hiker found it within 10 minutes of leaving the top on the main track. I don’t know what YOU were looking for?
Really I never found it!
Interesting video! (I believe you meant to say the Seneca Indians fought the British, 3 centuries ago, not 3 decades.) 😊
You are correct Kelly. I am still getting used to talking to the camera. I get very nervous when I vblog sometimes I make mistakes. 😊😊😊😊
lovely scenery and great story. Love your videos
Thank you very much and thank you for watching all my videos.
My favorite parts were when you were enjoying yourself and joking around. Keep up the good work
Glad you enjoyed. Thank you for watching.
The area that your looking for is well known and it's behind the US Falls.
Awesome vlog Larry. 😊 Really enjoyed it. I’m sure you slept well that night after all that climbing.
Yes I did
nice vlog Mr.Larry☆and well detailed as well..but love the nature the most..
Thank you kindly
Would love to travel to the US and go there one day. The place look peaceful
Thank you for watching
Was just there and that cave was easy to find. You park at Devils Hole State Park parking lot before the damn, head down the stairs after the first big curve and there was the trail right in front of you. The dirt trail goes straight or up to the right, you go up to the right and there it is. Its even marked on All Trails.
Thank you for the info. I must of walked right past it. Going back soon!
@@LarryW thought I’d pass the info to you because I watched your video about it. If I remember right, its the first flat area you encounter after coming down the stairs and the trail is right there before going down the next section of stairs. You can’t miss the trail. Let me know if you need any more help I can email you a picture.
I live in Niagara ....you missed your opportunity to see the devil's hole cave.... at the very beginning of the walk that you made down the stairs at devil's hole.... originally from the top of the cliff.... as you change from man made rocks staircase to the rocks formatted along the cliff wall you will see an opening and then another opening the devils hole itself collapsed in on itself.... but that's the location if you go back you can easily see it .....Once again start at the top of the cliff at devil's hole state park.... go down the stairs and just as you make a left hand turn to continue down the stairs you'll notice along the wall of the cliff.
Enjoy 👍 at @ 4:30 to 5;30 area you panned up the wall but you didn't record how you got to the spot....THAT area is the cave area through the brush
Thank you for the information. In the spring I will go back and look for it. I am very excited to find it!
@@LarryW the sound was calling you
Keep safe Larry
Thank you I will. you also keep safe.
What are the coordinates of this particular cave?
Sorry I do not have the coordinates.
Maybe rename the video "In search of....."?
Your right!
6:54 it's the fountain of youth.
I drank the water it did not work!!! LOL
3 decades ago? WRONG thats only 30 years ago And by law you can be fined as they are concerned with erosion You need to learn the laws
Thank you for the advice you are a very loving and caring person !!
@@LarryW Sir I dont want you getting a big fine Enjoy your weekend and keep safe
That looks very interesting but a lot of climbing for a 74 year old
Normal Trail is not too hard but there is a lot of steps. I was tired because I was going up into the woods and climbing on Big Rock
@@shubhangikurade3372 it is not my age
@@LarryW ok
Lol, you're funny. I was at devil's hole over the weekend. So much history
