    oh this was hilarious, from the beginning all the way to seeing your DIY skills!
    that first drill mark locating, to hammering with your drill to using your keys to get the raw plugs out comedy gold!
    and while you were placing the new box up I was thinking why didn't he just use the bottom screw already in the wall and the box would have been higher then and would have covered most of the different colour wall and the holes ! classic you!
    thanks for the laughs!

      Lol yeah hijinks all around. I had to move the controller because the old holes would have put it too high and the wires wouldn't have reached :)

    I would not use that type of controller because I think it’s more harder to understand but that’s me. Also it’s usually sold at hardware store and anything sold at hardware stores I think aren’t really reliable. For residential controllers I would recommend the Rain Bird ESP-TM2, or Hunter X-Core or X2

    I just replaced my 15 year old Orbit with the Rain Bird SST Sprinkler. I'm having one issue, when I set it to manually water one zone it comes on but I can't set for how long to water. When I push the arrow key per the instructions the time of day changes. Do I need to exchange mine for another one?

    I've done some sprinkler maintenance, but what I've done mostly is replacing broken/clogged heads

    • @CopperCreekCuts
      @CopperCreekCuts  6 лет назад

      That is probably a lot more common than replacing a timer, these things usually last a long time!

      I've never had to replace my sprinkler time, I have had to replace Solenoid valves and cracked pipes, but If a client asks me to replace a timer I can do it now, thanks to this video, I learned how to do it

    I'm a bit surprise that the new controller didn't come with a template. Because I currently have what you took out and it came with a template.

      Maybe it did and it was tucked in with the instructions. Of course you know I NEVER read the instructions! ;)

    Hey man, I want to start doing videos like these. My only concern is if a client asks my why am I recording? What and how do you tell them you're recording for RUclips or insurance purposes? Are their any clients who rather you not record? Thanks man

    • @CopperCreekCuts
      @CopperCreekCuts  4 года назад +1

      You can tell them you are making informational/entertainment videos, or you can just say you film certain jobs for insurance purposes to prove you did work and disprove damage claims, especially on stuff like one time clean ups.

    Do you need to shut off power to the house or just unplug?

    • @CopperCreekCuts
      @CopperCreekCuts  4 года назад

      You can just unplug it, but still be careful poking around, as some models might have capacitors that store electricity. Nothing that should kill you, but just my disclaimer! :D

      Email me: coppercreekcuts@gmail.com with more info. I am not sure what you mean when you say "boxes". If you can send a pic of the estimate, include that.

    Always show unplugging from the outlet! Too many people do not think of electrical safety. Especially if you are making a DIY video, your audience are not professionals like you who know what they are doing.

      Good point! One advantage of working on a sprinkler system is the low voltage, but yeah, a wrong move on the board could give you the full 120!
