There are already half a million Sri Lankan Tamils living in Canada. A lot of Sri Lankan Tamils graduated (BS and MS) from University of Toronto. A lot of Sri Lankan Tamil Professors at the Canadian Universities across Canada.
Now, Canada gives 2 years work permit to anyone who is willing to live and work in Atlantic Canada.
High school education is enough. After 2 years, you can get Canadian PR. 200,000 more Sri Lankan Tamils are coming to Canada from Sri Lanka.

It depends on the program. For MScAC, it was preferred, not mandatory.

@@ARVINDER.SINGH_10 Your profle, being math heavy, is considered strong if you apply for MSc in related field like Data Science or Applied Computing. Answering your question of PG Diploma vs MSc Degree, I would prefer MSc Degree any day. In my view, going for a competitive degree program will unlock more opportunities for you. Hope that helps.
