    Is it worth it to upgrade your rifle to a chassis?
    Just how accurate is a Tikka T1x in 22LR
    The reason i did this video comparison testing the Facotry T1X rifle to itself in a MDT chassis was to see just how capable the barrelled action is. as it performed rather mediocrly on it own in the facotry configuration and then recompare it to the CZ457 MTR match as a bonus for you at the END

      what would be really cool is if Tikka make a match chamber and a heavy barrel. i might just throw on a IBI on this Tikka

      @@EpikArms They released face lift version of t1x which have bit different ejection/feeding system.
      Also t1x hunter which is face lift with wood stock and shortened flush fit magazines.
      But i dont think they are planning to make bench/varmint version of t1x because that
      model is supposed to be a cheap and good enough for most purposes.
      Sako otherhand have that quad range version but it is very expensive and to my understanding
      just sako quad HB with heavy wooden range stock.
      Overally t1x is made for international sales in mind and corners were cut to get price
      least somehow competive level because Finland is not exacly cheap place to produce anything
      because tax and labor cost.

    idk man. 2:30 Your groups between the chassis and the standard stock on the whole is .85 vs .9 (or .73 v .72), that's barely an improvement at all. Tough for most guys to justify any cost for such a minimal improvement. The only meaningful improvement really was the centerX ammo. The rest of the groups of your chassis vs stock are all about the same. One good load is all you need to take your game to the next level, but being that it's a sample size of 1, who knows if that would even show up for most shooters. 18/19 showing no real improvement isn't great odds.

      I agree as 0.1 -0.5 is sometimes the difference between 2 groups within 1 stock. However, if the chassis stock is more comfortable while shooting competition then I can see the advantage as comfort = more consistency

    I really liked this video! Especially a follow up to the original! It’s nice to see what the difference a chassis can make! I’m still a CZ fan! But great content! 👍🏻

    Gary Eliseo makes a chassis for the t1x and I think he was getting around 1/2" groups but he was cutting back the barrel and rechambering it

    Like to see it in a mdt fieldstock review for the t1x to see if the upgrade to the xrs is worth the money

    Woox, MDT and Boyd's make the best chasis in the business. MDT like to put a lot of holes and lightening cuts in their chassis but they arent light weight at all.

      @almostontimehero5415 i would dissagree for boyds. I own like 4 or 5 and 2 of them the holes were misaligned.

    T1x in a chassis vs T1x UPR? What’s the better route? That’s the video I’d like to see. Thanks for the great content

    • @EpikArms
      @EpikArms  Месяц назад +1

      @seancoyle6463 the chassis would be bedded a but better than the upr stock. But likely have little to no effect on accuracy. The biggest advantage would be your preffered ergonomics and ability to add attachments to the chassis. For example on this xrs you a tripod to the arca while the upr you cannot. The upr is ergonomic and a very nice simple stock. But it's simple

      If you want to put a Tikka T1X in a different stock/chassis I would check out the GRS Bifrost.
      Amazing grip and all the adjustments.
      Can't go wrong matching up two nordic brands. 🇧🇻🇫🇮

    Is the action in all CZ457s basically equal? I haven’t seen the MTR version locally, but I do believe I have seen a CZ457 American and a CZ457 Varmint

    • @EpikArms
      @EpikArms  Месяц назад

      @stephenkarl1440 yes the actions are all the same. The mtr is this specific wood stock variant and thr match refers to the chambering

    Did you do the barrel brake in after 200 shots, or is this straight out of the box.

    • @EpikArms
      @EpikArms  Месяц назад

      yes the Tikka has about 2000+ rounds throught it before this video and the CZ for the comparison at the end has 5000+
