Claim His promises…
One powerful way to connect with God through all times including the ones where we may not have the words is to pray scripture back to Him.
“So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11)
What a promise!
How do we do this?
Much like Tania shares in this clip and episode 68,🎙️ we talk honestly to God.
♡ Tell Him honestly about the emotions or what you face.
♡ Then, read or say a verse aloud. Do not worry if you haven’t memorized it. Look it up in the YouVersion Bible app or in your Bible.
♡ Read it aloud. Visualize it, if fitting too.
♡ Then pray about it in your own words.
“God, Your Word says… ”
For example, “God, Your Word says You are always with me. Help me feel your presence.”
When we do this, we draw near to God and allow Him to speak through His Word. Listen and be open to what He reveals and how He guides and comforts. There is power in His Word.
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” (‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭12‬-‭13‬)
God’s word is alive and active! How incredible is that?!?! 🙌🏼
Even when our words fall short or fail us, God’s Word does not.
