are rhe Rac same as post office scandal, a lot of these big companies just take advantage of small business owners .
being charged for things isn't right when you haven't agreed to buy them.
THE RAC are ripping people like me off !!!

The simple fact that the patrolman has signed for you, is Fraudulent. let them take you to court, they dont have a leg to stand on.

I remember my dad having breakdown cover years ago, he had disconnected the battery for something and the imobiliser kicked in. RAC got called, they replaced the battery, the car did the exact same thing. Next he put the key in the door, locked it and unlocked it and the imobiliser was disabled.. car fixed. I worked at a car parts supplier, took his battery to work and tested it to find nothing was wrong with the battery. Later found out they earned commission on batteries. Would never do business with RAC

I've heard that too it's commission based .. when you think batteries can fit a variety of vehicles they can carry a few about till they can off load em

In January 2023 I had to wait 7 and a half hours to get recovered,,from 23.30pm until 7am.I kept getting text messages every 2 hours saying they would be with me within 90mins. Absolute waste of space.

I am a delivery driver and i was told by my employer that the customer has to always sign because if the deliver driver was to sign then it would be considered to be fraud. If i were you then i would get some legal advise.

loosening the oil filter was a proper sneaky move in the hope you would break down again shortly and need another call out - One way to ensure they are busy - sneaky bastards. Wont be using RAC any time soon

I have their cover on fleet used them twice now, both occasions never sent a roadside to see if could get it going. Both times they sent a sub contractor low loader to recover and both times took over 12 hours to get recovered. Won’t be renewing.

their batterers are overprices. I remmeber many years ago they tried to sell me a battery for £120, when ECP were selling those exide batteries, similar spec (and Ah) for £70. I know that's the emergency tax you pay when you'r ebrokewn down at the side of the road. But I just insisted on getting a jump start so I can drive home whcih they obliged. How much are they invoicing you for that one then? £200?

Never had a good service from RAC or AA !!!! They are lies and working for the garages to get them work!! People use to respect the RAC and AA . When a AA man past you in the 1950's they see your badge on you car and salute you. But now the standards have gone!!

Being a motorcyclist I won’t go anywhere without recovery, I’m an RAC member not through an insurance company, every time I’ve needed assistance they’ve been there within the hour and sorted the issue, when my engine destroyed itself they paid for specialist recovery the same afternoon, I’ve nothing but good to say about them

I cancelled my RAC last year after they decided to trebble the cost, I haven't called them out for years so it wasn't caused by me abusing the policy. It took four emails and three phone calls to finally get them to cancel my policy and stop taking payments.

Rac ate a JOKE they have the contract for Motability vehicles. Theyre supposed to be thete inside 45 mins as theyre dealing with stranded disabled drivers and family.
3 hours they left me syranded at the shops. I abandoned the car and got a taxi home after 3 hours in the cold.
Another time i wrote a car off the rac "lost" it couldnt tell me where ot was so i could recovery stuff.
I honestly nearly quit Motability over rac and directline insurance

I've heard a lot of story's about the length of time waiting .. the patrols are either very busy or they just don't bother
