Good evening Jon. I did not know about the Portland show. I got to get back into it a little more. I have been falling behind a bit. The Dusty was a nice grab. Original pressing? I love that Faces album. I am sure that you saw them live back in the day. I saw them put on one heck of a show at Boston Garden in {I think} 1976. They were really loose. Kind of like The Stones in a way. Anyways. I got my appointment book marked off for the spring. Hopefully yourself, Brian and I can hit a show and hang out for a few. Have a great week J~ Rob/Boston
Great selection. I saw Ramblin' Jack play in a pub in Leeds back in the day - he had to be helped onto the stage by his wife and there was a strict 'no smoking' policy in the pub that night because I think he had lung trouble. It was incredible to see him but kind of sad the venue was so small.
Saw him once in Washington Square Park (Greenwich Village NYC) just playing the guitar on a Sunday afternoon in 1965. Within 10 minutes there were a bunch of guitars, banjos, fiddlers etc joining in for a real hootenanny. A great spontaneous moment. Thanks for watching
Damn, you got a lot more than I knew you got. It was fun getting out and about. I wish I scored more but I love that Jimmie Dale Gilmore record that I found. I need to spin the OCMS again. I bought it when it came out. A great band, for sure. Talk to you soon! Cheers☘️
It's really frustrating the way the same stuff keeps getting reissued in different sleeves. I find it difficult enough keeping track of my collection and I tend to find the visuals have more impact on my memory than many titles. The book industry seems worse than the record industry from this point of view and they seem to regularly reissue titles in different jackets so, again, I've lost track of the number of duplicate books I've bought by mistake. "Dusty In Memphis" is a sublime album. If you haven't already got it keep an eye out for Shelby Lynne's "Just A Little Lovin'" which is her Dusty tribute and sounds great; bit of a rarity I'm afraid (I'd love the Analogue productions pressing but it's out of my price league); it all keeps the hunter-gatherer instinct in tune! Have a great day and keep digging
Lots of great pick ups Jonathon. You can fool around with the Faces jacket and make the mouth go up and down. I’d love to find that Tony Joe White. Never see his stuff around here. Nice Hancock. Seems like $5 is the new $2. I’ve bought a few duplicates myself. Less now since I’ve documented everything on Discogs. Cheers.
Just spun that Hancock, a little too electronic for my taste. Still sounds amazing on my rig. I’m OK with $5. It’s when they charge $12 for Barbara Streisand and Johnny Mathis albums I loose my shit. Thanks for watching
Hi Jonathan, I was lucky to get a near mint copy of that CCR album a year or so ago. I think it's an American pressing, but not 100% sure on that. Never seen that double Live LP until you showed it. I have that Knopfler/Atkins on compact disc from way back when it was first released. Very nice re-issue for you! I would love that Dusty Springfield album too. You got a few nice jazz LPs keeping up with quite a variety in this haul for your collection. I'm having a push to a million subscribers contest 😆. You should check it out. It's an easy one. ✌

I meant to tell you about it, but thought it was too far to drive for a small show. Hope to see you in the Spring

Some great finds there.Love Old Crow, saw them live a couple of months ago with original member Willie Watson supporting and guesting on a few songs
They’re a great band for sure. Thanks for watching

I saw that 1 million contest. Hope to do it this week. Going to check out a collection today that I’ve been working on for 5 years. Fingers crossed 🤞
@@cheapcheerfulrecordcollect8071 Good luck on that collection! I'm going to Dedham for the "Vinyl Bowl" again this year on Feb.10th!
@@MGKBOSTON - If I strike out today I’ll probably go to Dedham. If I score big, I’ll pass.

Thanks. I haven’t spun it yet, but I really like his stuff.
