Kieran awesome showing definitely would love to score a OG copy if Saturday Night Special a killer record. Love that Archie Shepp he’s a sax player that people don’t talk about enough. Awesome records Kieran .
Truth about that John Handy. I've disregarded it for sure, good recommendation there. Some tough questions actually, I have a few ideas so may do this we shall see. big thumbs to that Prince Lasha!
Great picks bro! When the intro to spiritual free jazz question came up my mind went straight to Love Supreme & Alice. I think Bennie Maupin Jewel in the Lotus is a good choice too. I love the A.R. Penck covers, he's got some good records with Jeanne Lee, Frank Wright, Frank Lowe, Billy Bang etc, hard to find this side of the world unfortunately.
Thanks Tom! I honestly didn’t know there were more in the series until last week when I pulled this out and looked it up again. Can’t believe found this one over here. Too bad they weren’t all in the collection. Great minds think alike when it comes to the Coltrane. lol. Easy choice. Jewel in the lotus is great. Would love to see you make a video!
He is! Look forward to seeing the new space. I’ll visit eventually. Only made it to original space one time. Happy for them! Miss the days of Dave making RUclips videos. He had a special touch.
I have five or six LPs with Penck. He plays piano on some and drums on others. The Jeanne Lee albums I still need but they always require a plane ticket. I know a guy with a ton of dead stock in Germany but he is pricey.
I love your videos! Thanks for providing education about great jazz artists! I am a fan!
Thanks Shawn. Appreciate it. Have a even travelling so late to reply. Haven’t been on RUclips much

Damn. Too bad. Plane ticket wouldn’t be so bad for a bunch of them if prices were good
