This team improved SOO MUCH I remember them losing against auburn at the start of the season and now they hold the second highest team score this season
Kudos for not mentioning her mother, and focusing solely on her, and her work and accomplishments. Oftentimes commentators, when reviewing children of former (insert career here), compare them to their parents. That's always annoyed the crap out of me. Glad to see that the gymnastics world has changed a bit since her mother's days!
I think people are confused how Trinity Thomas hasn't gotten a 10 because she has one of the best forms in NCAA right now, also with the fact that she usually has controlled landings.
Edward Miller it is such a micro slide of the foot that to the naked eye in regular speed it isn’t noticeable. That’s the only reason the judges wouldn’t have caught it
@@elenajoseph6630 I agree it was fast but her split leap full wasn't 180 either. This was a 9.9 or 9.925 at nationals Finnegan is the only gymnast on that team capable of a 10 on floor cause her leaps are perfection.
Judges do not have the added benefit of replay, slow motion and rewatching. To the naked eye, and NCAA standards, this is a "10"! That double lay was stuck, with the step back allowed. That leap? We can't see from this angle, but it looks close enough. I'm dreading the day NCAA picks up after elite and there are no more perfect routines. Elite had to do it because of the range in difficulty and every micro movement being scrutinized is as it should be, for elite level, but not NCAA?? This was a 10. She doesnt have the hyper flexibility of Finnegan of course, but still an "NCAA 10"! 🤗
She stuck all her landings it was clean but honestly there was no showmanship meaning beyond the precision it was boring to watch..the facial expression, the music, the dance, the pace of it was overall slow and not as energetic.

Literally a whole year out and she nevertheless ends it with how McKenna always ends it, with pure heart and passion. Forever LSU 💛💜
CHILLS WHEN SHE STUCK THE DOUBLE TUCK
That kid has GLUE on the bottoms of those feet. Incredible.
I know right, looked just like her mom ending her first pass

Amazing!! I literally JUST found out who her mother is, and I'm thrilled this young phenom is following in Mary Lou's footsteps!!
Loved it. I wonder, has she ever done her mom's olympic floor routine? That would be neat to see. Just for fun...she is, of course, her own person.
That opening pass looked like her mom.
Wow!! What a great routine! Perfect 10 lady just like her mom! ❤️
Love watching McKenna compete!
Like mother, like daughter! Definitely Mary Lou's daughter she has the genes and has the moves, oh yeah her mom's smile as well!!!
go McKenna!!! we love you and that was a great floor routine 💗
Perfection, just like her mama!!! :)
God blessed both generations!!!
Yeah.... good job. Congratulatuons. That was awesome 💪🏼🙏🏼👍🏼🎉
if this was trinity thomas, even with the little adjustments in the feet, you guys wouldn't be questioning the 10 haha
João Fachinello Trinity Thomas has more flexibility at 17 years old than McKenna Kelly will ever have
@@GymnasticsWorldWide well, I agree. Tho no one is questioning their flexibility haha

Was this senior night?
yes
Yep
She's always a ten...and her Mom too.
THAT WAS AMAZING
Nice. I loved it. Nice landings.
Personality? Announcer obviously hasn't seen Burkholder or Lloimincia Hall. You know, the girls with flavor and spice. And good choreo.
Does she remind you of anybody from the past?
Mary Lou Retton
a total 10!!
Beautiful 🖤
I love her...but this isn't a 10. Her front foot moves at the end of the double layout. Literally can't be a 10.

I think she showed enough control to be counted as perfectly executed
Edward why didn't you want that be to a 10?
I love

she stepped so why is it a 10😬
Rachel Benincasa ncaa judging is different than elite your allowed to take a controlled lunged or step if u present it with control
You’re allowed to take a step backwards if it’s controlled
