Congrats Ken, that was a good battle. Although with Romodi, I really did not understand that fleet build, but you did well with it. For Points I think Motti would have been a bit better. But testing out fleets is an essential part to this game.
Congratulations Ken, great to see you win this one. I know backseat admiral-ing is a thing, but I cant get my head around why would you activate Vector first at the start of round 4 when you could have actually used the first player´s advantage - activate ISD and murder that leading Muni so it doesnt get to shoot. Then the game wouldnt have ever come so close. Still, win is a win. (Edit: you discussed it already at the end) It was pleasure to watch, as usual with ION Radio!
Thanks guys, another fun game and huray for Ken! Interesting Imperial fleet; good to see Romod with something other than an Onager but it felt more like a Sloane build. Very sneaky deployment on John's part with 2 asteroids behind a dust field and then dropping everyhting to speed 0. Good call from Ken going in fast to engage asap and the Imperial squadrons once more showed their superiority. Putting Quad Batteries on the Munificents is an interesting idea as they are pretty slow ships. Also enjoyed seeing Volatile deposits played!!
I really enjoyed running Volatile Deposits - perhaps we can see a few new objectives played out in Season 3 and 4... Either case, glad you enjoyed the batrep, Ed. - Ken
Awesome match! Nice to see Ken pick up his first win since the start of Season 1! I echo Trawn91 and Mark Slater's comments about those two in game choices, but... a win is a win! Keep it up guys!
Well done Ken! I think at least once (possibly twice) your ISD could have flak'd but you only shot out the front when that conc fire token went. Another time I think you could have used your ship title to add more blues.
Well done Ken. I might have turned the ISD right instead of ramming, as it would have obstructed your Quasar, and forced John to lose dice firing on the Quasar or waste a shot killing it instead.
I just got a pair of separatist starters and I was wondering if the civil war factions are still viable in 1.5, particularly against the clone wars factions. In short are the 4 factions balanced enough to play any of them?
The factions are all relatively balanced. The clone era ones lack a bit of depth compared to their civil war counter parts because of less being released but they still can handle their own. -John

Thanks, JuergenGDB! I enjoy taking someone else's fleet and running it through the paces.

Great game to watch, well played by both! Congrats Ken!
Thanks, Jack! It was a really close game, and we had a lot of fun with it.

Great game once again. Well done Ken
Thank you, James Boardman!

Appreciate the support, Trawn91. Yes, noticed this and talked about it in the AAR. ;)

Ken!! You're squadrons were killing it!! 🔥
Might need to experiment with more fighters...

Huzzah a win from Ken!!.Great battle report from you two as always.
Thanks, Andy! We appreciate the support.
Great game guys! Well done Ken! That was fun to watch.
Thanks, Maxwell. I have to squeak out a win here and there. The bulk of the season has been close so it had to happen eventually.
- Ken
Congratz for your win, ken. First time I am seeing you alpha striking john's fighter wing. Usually, that is the contrary that happens.
Thanks, pestos speedos. I think that after being hit with John's fighters enough times I learned that trick. :)

Got to keep you all on your toes. Here’s to another win soon?

Fun match to watch as always. I enjoyed seeing the objective, as I've never seen it played.
The objective was different - Volatile deposits has some opportunities for extra damage by essentially shooting asteroids. :)
@@IONRadio I can seen it having some potential in an interdictor moving obstacles around...

The difficulty of using another's fleet. You need to play it once or twice to get all the nuances.
Great game guys, very close. It hurts seeing a Cymoon without gunnery teams but hey, fun to see regardless.
ah, my favorite, i always like to se the empire destroy some metal scrap

I believe Ken's interceptors should have gotten an extra blue dice from Howlrunner, I didn't think any of them were out of her range.
To their Counter shots I mean
We'll have to go back and check the footage. Yep - looks like we goofed on a few of the counters. Good catch.
I just got a pair of separatist starters and I was wondering if the civil war factions are still viable in 1.5, particularly against the clone wars factions. In short are the 4 factions balanced enough to play any of them?

John i have never heard you being more annoyed than in this game during turn 3 while taking a crit and having no squadrons to activate😅😂
1:15 Cymoon 1? The card says Imperial II.
Yep, we didn’t catch that in post. Card is wrong, description and voice over are correct.
Note was made in the description.
How comes a ISDII can get TWO turbolaser upgrades?
Edit--> just saw the ship card (ISD II)
So the ISD is actually a Cymoon 1 - wrong ship card in our fleet build display, but the voice over and damage reports are correct.
