Marvel's Daredevil, or simply Daredevil, is an American web television series created for Netflix by Drew Goddard, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films of the franchise, and is the first in a series of shows that will lead up to a Defenders crossover miniseries. The series is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios, DeKnight Prods. and Goddard Textiles, with Steven S. DeKnight serving as showrunner on the first season, and Goddard acting as consultant. Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez will take over as showrunners for the show's second season.
Charlie Cox stars as Matt Murdock / Daredevil, a lawyer-by-day who fights crime at night. The series chronicles the character's early days fighting crime, juxtaposed with the rise of crime lord Wilson Fisk, played by Vincent D'Onofrio. Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Toby Leonard Moore, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Bob Gunton, Ayelet Zurer, and Rosario Dawson also star. Daredevil entered development in late 2013, a year after the film rights to the character reverted to Marvel, with Goddard initially hired in December 2013. DeKnight replaced him as showrunner and Cox was hired to star in May 2014.
All episodes of the first season premiered on April 10, 2015. The series was released to critical acclaim, with critics praising the action sequences, performances, and the darker tone compared to other properties set in the MCU. On April 21, 2015, Marvel and Netflix renewed Daredevil for a second season, due to premiere in 2016.

I really hope Disney realizes the potential they have here. I know they can’t move this over to Disney + for awhile, several years in fact due to contract, but hopefully they realize just what they can accomplish.

If Daredevil ever appear in the MCU films, they should create a remix version of this awesome opening theme that has a lighter tune.
Why? That foregoes the point of daredevil. He is shrouded in darkness and anger. You should feel the anxiety he should feel. He is not a light character. He strives where others fail. He creates his own odds and wins. He is not the same kind of hero as Iron or captain America. The only comparison in the Mcu is spiderman and Maybe now thor. Spiderman is driven by regret of not saving uncle Ben and thor has lost everything and everyone. Daredevil was never in a position to succeed yet he did it anyway. He is a strong catholic who pushes everyone away and his only real enjoyment comes from a single woman and punching criminals in the street. He is not a light character. The score represents him perfectly as it is.
@@masonharris9166 I have always said Daredevil and Batman is DC and Marvel's closest parallel in characters, at least from a casual fan of comics such as myself. Both Matt and Bruce are dark stories driven by guilt and a similar mission to serve justice without lethal force and without true superpowers, just superior fighting skills. (I view Matt's heightened non visual senses as a skill and not a power but anyone thinks the reverse I won't disagree)

@@masonharris9166 Now Marvel Studios wants to reboot Daredevil in the MCU films with a new actor playing The Man Without Fear and wants to create a new theme song for him, and all the Marvel television shows that were on Netflix were never part of the MCU. But most Daredevil fans won't like it because Charlie Cox is perfect playing Daredevil and his theme song on the Netflix's MCU Daredevil series fits that character perfectly and Marvel Studios will make a biggest mistake of their lives.

5/5 Stars. This is really just a copy of "Hunted" from Transformers: Age of Extinction, but better (more subtle, and the strings are fantastic).

+Connor Hickling If you listen to 'Hunted' from 0:37 to 1:20 (probably some character's theme since it pops up in several other tracks, but I haven't seen the movie so I don't know who's), it's sounds nearly identical to the tune that starts on this song at 0:18
+Jacob Ente You could never claim that this is a copy of that track. The majority of both sound completely different. You could say that there is a similarity or that it reminds you of it. But to claim it's a copy is just annoying.
+MetalTitans Gaming Channel The majority of this song is the tune that kicks in at 0:18, which as I've said before sounds a lot like 'Hunted'. Yes the melody in 'Hunted' does change and there are a few different, but it's a 5 minute song so that's expected (and I'm referring to the one that plays during the first half).
