I completed this game after 17 years. And It was awsome. It's more than I can say of some actual games. This is unique. I played when I was a child but... I couldn't finish it.
Personally I like the Bad- ending the most, even though it's not canon. Maybe because I had it on my first playthrough, but it also seems so fitting and the image of dead (or dying) Harry in the car crash is really haunting..
I got that on my first play through too, I was a little disappointed bc I was trying to avoid it lol I don’t mind that I got it though still a fine ending like you said 😌
Then you must play shattered memories, since shattered memories how chyrl mason still cope with henry death and weirdly kaufmann was her therapist, brunette lisa and old cybil, and dahlia was henry wife. Like if good ending you have sh3 as cannon prequel but if you get bad ending shattered memories was the prequel instead.
You know what I just realized about the bad ending ? This whole dream he had in the bad ending is a combination of death drawing ever closer to him, his perspective of his marriage with Dhalia, maybe memories mixed up with wishes related to an unborn biological child of theirs (Alessa), memories of the abuse and bullying he might have suffered when he was at school and how the paradise promised to him by both his marriage and Cheryl's adoption ended up being a continuation of his Hell. If my theory is correct, then that other theory saying that all of the tapes at the endings of "Shattered Memories" are canon is true too, because this dream Harry had is to represent his perspective of his own life up until now.
One ending that I think would be really cool but really depressing is if Harry was unconscious and all the events that happened were in his head. Then he wakes up and sees Cheryl in the passenger seat dead because of the crash. Then Harry sits there and weeps because his daughter is dead and feels it’s his fault that she’s dead. He goes on with his life in sorrow and guilt because of the death of Cheryl. It would have been a really sad ending, but a good one at the same time.

The first time I played, I killed Cybil on that sinister carousel, I think I did something wrong, I don't know if I could save her. The end of the game Harry was running away with Cheryl.(2:29)
+Daniel de Almeida To save Cybil, you have to get a plastic bottle from the kitchen in the hospital, then use it to suck up some of the red liquid in the director's office. When you get to Cybil on the carousel, instead of fighting her, use the liquid on her.

Er, no, it's not the blood bag you give her, it's the plastic bottle containing the red liquid from the Director's office. I just finished the game for the first time yesterday. I missed filling the bottle, but I still got the Good- ending because I did the Kaufmann side quest with the motorbike.

Wonder what happened to Cybill afterwards? I mean, SH3 proves Harry saved Alessa/Cheryl/Heather, so it's possible he saved Cybill too. But there's no reference to her anywhere later.
@@taroupriapus5202 Where is it confirmed? I mean, it's not like Cybill and Harry were lovers, so there was no reason she would have been part of their lives. So her not being mentioned by Heather doesn't necessarily mean she's dead.

Actually the Good- ending is the canon one, according to Silent Hill 3. Good+ is the "best" ending, but it's not the true ending since Cybil does not make it out alive.
How do you know she doesn't survive? It't not known what happens to her, so both GOOD+ and GOOD can be canon. Thing is, if we consider the Good+ ending "canon", *a lot of things don't make sense*. I always thought that "Good +" was an "extra" ending to reward those who replayed the game, because story-wise, Harry has literally no reason to throw a weird substance he just "happened to find" that, at first glance, wasn't important to him to begin with (thus he had no reason to pick it up), and never used up until that point at a woman that's trying to kill him, for multiples reasons: a)The damn could be corrosive, thus it can kill her by *literally* burning her face if he isn't going down that route (you don't need to be an expert in Chemistry to know that substances are corrosive and dangerous to human skin). b)He _literally_ has no reason to use it, because he's been holding up until that point a substance that nobody knows what it does. So, that thing can be as useful as spitting on her, or as said in point a, could end up killing her (which, again, there are *more better alternatives if you're going the non-lethal route*). Heck, it could even make Cybil stronger/enraged in the worst case scenario. c)He's in a state of panic. Let's be honest here, who would throw a bottle holding a weird substance to defend themselves while your life is hanging in the line, when you probably have a damn gun in your hands? Unless Harry looked up on a guide on the Internet and learned about how to save Cybil, he shouldn't have used a random substance he just happened to find *by "chance"* on a woman that's shooting at him with a _gun_. Heck, not even us, the players, were able to get the "Good ending +" without replaying the game or looking up at some random guide on the internet (let's be honest here, please. *Chances for getting said ending without getting spoiled and playing for the first time is below 1%*). It's just outside of human's common sense, and illogical.
+lorenzo romano "I always thought that "Good +" was an "extra" ending to reward those who replayed the game" I would agree with that, yeah. And this is also what Toyama had in mind when he wrote the story. GOOD+ was supposed to be more like an extra (he called it "a game’s game") and thought it will be discovered within few weeks at least. To his surprise it was discovered immediately. But still, it wasn't really made official what the actual canon ending is, even the Book of Lost Memories states that it's left up to the players imagination what happens to Cybil. And the fact that the writer itself said he changed his mind nowadays kinda contributes to that. So yeah, while in theory both endings would work, I guess if you want to be really technical and use logic while also considering the writer's personal idea (at the time the game was made!), GOOD makes more sense. I think it's still nice to have this bit of mystery when it comes to Cybil, making the player use his own mind without having something set it stone that wouldn't leave any room for imagination. It's even more effective in Silent Hill 2, where there is also no official canon ending and basically any ending would work.
symphony137 I wouldn't mind if "Good +" was the "canon" ending, it's just that, if we take it as canon, then the whole story falls apart, because Good + itself is a bloody mess for the previous point mentioned. Some years ago, there was a discussion about the "canon" ending for the original Silent Hill in a Silent Hill forum (I believe it's called SH Heaven), which explained why Good + ending couldn't work in theory (and debunked the possibility of "time loops" in SH 1), and it should be considered (in my opinion) a "joke" ending like UFO.
Watching this, I realized something - The Birthed God's body (from SH3) is identical to Samael's here. I shouldn't be surprised, after all they are the same... entity. I'm hesitate to call that thing a god. But, I love the attention to continuity.
I've aways wondered if cybil really escaped with Harry or Harry really killed her. Think about a whole game made about her after all this time. We need one bad.
Will anyone tell me how to find out where all the locations are? I know you have to firstly start channeling at school, then hospital, etc. but how to find out ?
so in the bad+ ending Harry and Cybil basically die in that burning room?? I had the Good- ending so Harry got away, but from the looks of the bad+ they don't make it out
I know thats more than one year but, harry didn't died on the car crash, everything happened, but all in the another world, dimension, or limbo, or whatever the hell it is. He's not dead, he's alive and trapped in that world forever.

" lemme ask you "
What's with the UFO ending. It became a sci-fi awith that
You missed the Good+ ending
Watching this, I realized something - The Birthed God's body (from SH3) is identical to Samael's here. I shouldn't be surprised, after all they are the same... entity. I'm hesitate to call that thing a god. But, I love the attention to continuity.
thing is i've seen that last ending on multiple videos like this one
I've aways wondered if cybil really escaped with Harry or Harry really killed her. Think about a whole game made about her after all this time. We need one bad.
I personally think she dead.
What I don't get about the Car crash ending is, why does doing certain actions mean if it was all a dream or if it was real, like wtf
That UFO ending tho X'D
BTW where's Cheryl ?
Can't you see? She's right there... *Points at Silent Hill 3 protagonist*
Lisa was kinda spooky in the ending
You forgot the good+ ending.
Title is not accurate. It's not all the endings of games 1-14 it's only the first one.
i read that as silent hill having 14 games
Will anyone tell me how to find out where all the locations are?
I know you have to firstly start channeling at school, then hospital, etc. but how to find out ?
so in the bad+ ending Harry and Cybil basically die in that burning room?? I had the Good- ending so Harry got away, but from the looks of the bad+ they don't make it out
The worst ending is Harry basically died in the car crash. And it was all a dream that he never woke up from. It would be implied that Cybil dies too.
@@SephirothXValentine I know it's more than 1 year that you commented but it's never said that Harry died in the car crash
I know thats more than one year but, harry didn't died on the car crash, everything happened, but all in the another world, dimension, or limbo, or whatever the hell it is. He's not dead, he's alive and trapped in that world forever.
I read the wiki and am confused as to the following: what was alyssa's plan? Was alyssa good or bad? And why was she good to you at the end?
bad ending should be the real..considering is based on jacobs ladder and in the movie its bad ending, spoiler:
guy died in war and the whole movie is his alucination in coma. epic btw
Man whoever got the UFO ending i feel so fuckin bad for them 😂😂
There's only 5 endsings... What?
Which ending did Caddy get in his video? Was it the car crash, or the slap in the face?
where is the good+ ending?
bir önceki videodaymış 1-13
In bad+ Harry and the policer is safe...
I got the bad- ending :(
Because you killed Cybil and didn't save Kaufman.
It's obvious that the UFO ending is the real ending.
This scene reminds me Father's Great Love.
I could not understand the ending that time, why cheryl was a baby when harry saved her ? Wasnt she older in the story ?
Yazan Arabiat If you ever followed the games after this one, the baby is supposed to be Heather from silent hill 3. Heather has Cheryl and Alessa living inside her if that makes any sense. It’s the combination of them both together.
