That’s the miracle of the universe...Penny came to you for MaryCarl to have love and empathy, we know she has that in spades! I know from having a sick child the universe sends you things to make it thru to the other side! The world needed a 10 year old chicken expert to help all the city folk (like me) love chickens! Bless you all fir sharing so much of your life! May every child have the love of a “Penny” so all our children will love unconditionally . Once again a wonder pod cast!

Good morning! My daughter has developed an autoimmune deficiency at 35 years old. She had a hell of a time getting a diagnosis. For seven years she lived on and off antibiotics started breaking out in hives all over her body. And bingo she found the right doctor that suspected autoimmune tested and now gives herself her infusions every Sunday and leads a active life. Covid has been a setback as she has to stay home more, be vigilant on washing hands, clothes, shoes when re-entering home, etc. I pray Mary Carl will outgrow hers. Have a blessed week ❤❤❤

@@laurenandreas5950 they sure are, they shrugged me off and told me for years I had ibs when I knew the whole time it was Crohn's disease which they finally realized it was.
Then it took 5 years for a fibromyalgia diagnosis.
Thankfully all of that is in my past and no longer affects me as it was something I needed to experience to teach me specific things and now I help others help themselves when they are ready to heal.

What a tender story! I just wanted to share, about my autistic grandson, and his chickens. He has a rooster, a copper maran mix, ( not sure what he is mixed with) He is a big rooster. Beautiful! and my grandson can walk right up to him and pick him up. He willl take him in the house, and sit in the living room chair. That rooster, King, will sit there with him as long as my grandson wants him to. They have watched full movies together! It really warms my heart! To see how gentle they both are to each other, is just heartwarming. I wanted to teach my grandson about chickens and eggs and the whole process, so we incubated some eggs. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, the incubator glitched on us. And killed all the eggs, except one. The chick hatched on Dec. 30, 2020. This chick is so tame! It calls for my grandson if he leaves the room. My grandson is actually training it! No one has told my grandson how to train a bird, or any animal! But his natural response to the chicken, and his consistent response, has been teaching the chicken! It is mind blowing to watch! Just like Penny and MaryCarl, they have a special bond. I think this is another rooster! I wish it were a hen. It is still early to tell. But there are indications that it is a rooster.
I am so happy that MaryCarl is doing great! Here is to hoping good health to continue! There is not a more hopless feeling, than your child being sick! I truly understand the NEED FOR DIAGNOSIS! Have been there myself! You are such a beautiful family! THANK YOU FOR SHARING!

Tama, what a sweet story about your grandson. I have 19 yr. old grandson on the spectrum w/Aspergers. He is on the high end, but absolutely loves animals as well and has a very special touch with them. Almost like they are sharing the same soul. It's amazing what these awesome kids are capable of. Our grandson has a beautiful singing voice and a photographic memory. Has been in several plays and musicals. He is truly a wonder and a very precious part of our lives. Your grandson sounds like a very special young man. Give him a hug from us.

    • @wordswritteninred7171

PatriotMama, Thank you! Your grandson sounds simply amazing! You sound just as proud as I do! lol It is amazing, with all the obstacles set in front of them, just how much they not only accomplish, but excell at! Too many want to say they are "reserved" or "self centered". Maybe that is some, but it has not been my experience! My grandson, is so sweet, and gentle, and considerate! It especially shows through, with his unfaltering patience with animals. He never gets frustrated with them. And can never spend too much time with them. Certain ones, like you said, it is like they share the same soul! I hear others say they would "never" keep a rooster. "they are mean!" Well, dont tell my grandson, or King! Because they most certainaly are so gentle towards each other. King trusts my grandson completely! And my grandson is at the other end of the spectrum. He is considered "non-verbal". ALthough, he has worked VERY VERY VERY HARD, and now, at seven years old, he is beginning to talk. I believe he has ALWAYS TALKED! The words just did not come out the way they should have. I suspect many "non-verbal" children fall into this terrible label! And with patience, HOPE, and a whole lot of hard work, their words CAN STRAIGHTEN OUT! I digress. I will get off my soap box. Not sure how I started on that.lol But he is now using two word phrases. and speaking clear enough that just about anyone can understand him. But certain animals KNOW EXACTLY what it is, that he is conveying! Our dog died when he was just two. We NEED A GOOD DOG! We rescued one. I have always took rescues. But it did not work out for us. So we are on the hunt! Dogs are so important in a childs life! But today everyone wants an arm and a leg for one. SO it will be a bit before we can get one. It cant be soon enough.
I am sorry I began rambling! I could talk for days about my grandson! lol Your grandson sounds so talented! I know you are just so proud of him! At 19, he may not want many hugs, so I will just send him my love! lol God bless

Our daughter was about 2 or 3 and she was a Daddy's Girl. She would follow him to feed the animals everyday. We had a big white rooster that attacked her every time she went into the chicken lot. He never bothered anybody else. Her dad told her to take a stick with her. She did, and the rooster came after her, she wacked him up aside his head. Her dad said Cheryl's killed the rooster. Later in the evening he went to lock the chickens up for the night. The rooster was gone, he was found hiding on the backside of the coop, hiding behind a bunch of hens. From that day forward when Cheryl went into the pen the rooster would run and hide from her.
Have a blessed day, stay safe and healthy 🙏🥰👍👌🙏🦅🔔🗽🙏🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸

Glenda encouraging a child to beat up a rooster for being what he was by nature is nothing to be proud of. Instead the child should just stay away from the rooster or have him rehomed. I had to put down a beloved very docile 4-1/2 month old polish rooster because in California you can’t own roosters, and it broke my heart, because he was a pet.

Maybe he could have been rehomed, most likely he would have ended up in their cooking pot. The rooster lived a long happy life and died of natural causes.

Awe you can see pennys little feet. Mary Carl and penny both had unknown health issues. They were there for each other in their time of need. They found each other. What a blessing for them both. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
