Jarvis, you only get a security deposit back from an apartment if you don’t damage the apartment and leave it in the condition you found it in. Seeing as the man hurt the woman by cheating on her, she’s arguing he lost the deposit and shouldn’t get any of his deposit returned. Their relationship deposit perfectly mirrors how security deposits on apartments function.

There’s rare occasions where decent landlords might return any amount of the unused deposit even after you’ve broken the agreement, and they needed to use some of the money to make repairs. They’re not required to though. I reckon this is why the woman was attempting to counter sue or whatever because the man didn’t pay all of the deposit to begin with. This is something she honestly should’ve required before entering into the agreed relational contract, lmao. All of this is insane though.
Landlords absolutely cannot keep 100% of the security deposit unless they can prove, with payment receipts, that they needed 100% of it to pay for all the damage you did. There is no jurisdiction where they're allowed to keep a 2000$ deposit to pay for 100$ of rug cleaning.

Yep, I left the same comment before I saw yours. If he violated the terms of their relationship deposit then he wouldn’t get his deposit back at the end of the relationship. This is how security deposits work for apartments and other rentals.

Deposits can be non refundable. They just would usually then be applied to the cost of whatever the item or service was. An example would be that most tattoo deposits are non refundable. If you don't show up, the artist still gets paid. If you do, that deposit helps to cover the overall cost of your tattoo.

I live in Japan and I can confirm that sushi is ONLY eaten on dates. It was designed for that express purpose, and is never eaten with only the dudes. (Unless those dudes are on a date.)

My husband trying to encourage me to get up, get dressed up, go outside, enjoy life is supportive. There's nothing wrong with encouraging those you love. There are limits and individual situations but each person's situation is different.
@@bec7080 It comes off a little... Idk, judgemental? in just text form, but so long as it's been said with care and gentleness and you've expressed no signs of discomfort- all the power to ya both. Having someone you want to make happy can be an excellent reason to make yourself do things you might otherwise put off doing. And if hubby expressing that he misses the you that would dress up nice and go out to eat with him- or even just the you that would change into sweatpants to fold laundry while sitting on the couch- if that helps you make that extra bit of effort, great. I wish you both a good life together.
@@animeartist888 I understand that you feel like it's judgemental but I feel like once I clarified that I not only have been in a depressive state but had been so frozen in place at one point that the only way I overcame it was to commit myself that it would be clear that he's trying to ensure that I'm not back to that point.
I enjoy getting dressed up. Even if it's just to be in the house. It makes me happy. Leaving the house is important. It's one of the goals I set with my therapist and psychiatrist when I left the mental hospital (less than 2 months ago).
I know that there's people online who don't know that they are in negative situations but there's times to kind of let it go. If someone clarifies something up front that they know might sound negative with a "there's a reason for this" and then even clarifies further it's not really important to dig in
I'm sorry to sound defensive but I like... Have an entire mental health team before and now that know what I need and someone telling me to get up even in down and that I'm way too up with I'm up is that.

Deposits are basically never refundable. The whole point of the deposit is that you're putting money down towards the eventual purchase of something as proof that you're committed to buying it. If you could get it back, it doesn't serve that purpose.
No there are refundable deposits. You put down safety deposits in apartments and when you move out if there are no repairs that need to be done, you get the safety deposit back unless the landlord/manager is an asshole.

And... idk. I've been to vegas twice and they have sushi but it was all the cantonese/taiwanese food i noticed not sushi, it's a big tourist spot for chinese high rollers so they tend to have good asian street food.

I feel like every food can be casual depending on the people.

If I'm understanding the case correctly, the security deposit was essentially for 'not breaking the boundaries of the relationship' but, since he cheated on her, he broke the terms of the deposit and so doesn't get it back. If they had broken up amicably, then he could get the deposit back, but since he cheated he didn't get it back. Which is also what Steve was talking about at the end with, "what you have is valuable and you've gotta treat it as a gold mine", he's making reference to a women prizing their worth by not letting men break their boundaries.
