    Thanks for helping me realize I didn't have an S4. It seemed odd that I would have an S4 as a 30 year old with no prior cardiac pathology but I couldn't figure out what it was till I heard this and the light bulb came on.

    These heart sounds are great!!! Maybe you have it already but how about posting some sounds of common misinterpretations. i.e. Split S1 vs S4, with both sounds back to back for comparison.

    Tricuspid stenosis, atrial septal defect and pre excitation left ventricular syndrome (W.P.W. & L.G.L) also causes pathological splitting of S1 along with R.B.B.B

    It reminds me abit like left atrial enlargement on an ECG where there’s an M shape representing atrial contraction of both left and right atria ( when really left side shouldn’t be too noticeable). It’s just with this particular you can here both tricuspid and mitrale valve separately due to that electrophysiology delay due to the RBBB. I’m by no means saying there the same things it just reminds me of it 👍😅

      +blackdragon482, I just reviewed the video, it sounds fine to me, are you listening to it with headphones or earphones.

    • @blackdragon482
      @blackdragon482 7 лет назад

      Medzcool I was listening using my laptop as well as the speaker of my Samsung galaxy (turned to max volume). It is low compared to most every other video/study aid I generally watch but ah well! I appreciate your response :)

    • @medzcool
      @medzcool  7 лет назад +3

      +blackdragon482, try with headphones, the heart sounds are lower in frequency than other sounds and may not be best heard with external speakers. Like when you auscultate for heart sounds on a person - listen closely, carefully and ideally in a quiet area. Hope this helps!

    sound's like a fast heartbeat

    • @blusafe1
      @blusafe1 2 года назад

      It sounds fast because the entire sequence is one heart beat. This heart sounds like a healthy adult at rest, maybe 70-80 bpm.

    My heartbeat sounds exactly like this?

    • @drsmart0078
      @drsmart0078 4 года назад +1

      No way because the normal sound is lub dub sound . There a split S1 sound and S2 sound in Atrial septal defect (ASD) .

    • @sutanupsantra
      @sutanupsantra 4 года назад +3

      @@drsmart0078 I heard mine via a stethoscope. I am almost sure. I am worried it not similar to the normal lub dub. But the video says that this type is pretty common.

    Trust me this video has been made using a plastic pipe...just beating a plastic pipe make such sound. Stethoscope never produce such a sound.
