In my little kid mind if you get the 1 in 4 odds correct that you’d automatically win. Turns out I was right in a way. Weird how belief SEEMS to have an effect. If you read my rant, and if you’re the dude, then I hope your family is still doing well. You sounded like you deserved it.
Well a good chunck will go to daddy sam pocket first

8 years ago? My daughter who's been in University three years wasn't even a teenager yet... so if nothing else, this video popping up on my feed helped me to reminisce a little about some special memories.
October 2011, I was in 8th grade.....I’m a senior in college now 😂
That’s so awesome man. All the love to his family who had to deal with that terrible time with his Daugter in the Children’s Hospital. Well deserved.
Dude is holding his own hand trying to stop the nervy shakes.
There was a heart foundation fundraiser in my hometown and every single winner was connected/related/married to an organizer. The whole audience stopped the polite clapping and started murmuring. It was very suspicious.
That's not suspicious. That's fraud.
Are you surprised? Charities are massively corrupt.
I grew up with him in Grande Cache, and played hockey with him for a few years. Awesome guy.
Hey Ed. I spent one year in Grande Cache ('82) and played hockey with is younger brother. And now, Barry sometimes is a sub on my beer league hockey team in Burnaby. He's still an awesome, down to earth guy.
Only in Canada! I'm not Canadian, but I felt Canadian watching this!

So cool that the guy who one had a good story to go with it, and his daughter was connected to the program.

Amazing win! The little but that slips through about his child and the therapy they went through makes this win even more fitting 🎉🎉🎉
This was such a wholesome cast. The anchor was so excited to call Barry.

Haha I remember watching this live! Congrats Barry, you're an awesome guy. You deserve it after all the stuff your little girl went through.
Barry: you know people are gonna think this is fishy right? 😂😂
Hahahah that made me laugh out loud

The best part of this is the two friends that have genuine love for each other, warms my heart for real.
the most interesting part was he said the dream of him winning made him buy the ticket

Sophie and Squire are genuine real people 👍🤠🇨🇦 I watch them all the time
I love Sophie.
Considering that he's live on air and _carefully_ reading the winning ticket, how the hell does he read Deley as Delaney?

I actually love how much fun these employees have together. How many of your coworkers know your address?
Some of these comments are toxic: negative, sexual, bitter, and jealous comments. Why? This is a good news story for a family that legally played the lottery.
Someone had to win. Just so happened that the broadcasters knew the winner and called him to make his day. They can all say I knew a guy who won the lottery jackpot.
Some comments call this woman annoying because she's laughing and happy for someone else! I'm trying to understand what it would take for some of these commentators to enjoy this random moment?
Yeah, or your phone number to dial from memory... but wait...negative? SEXUAL?? LOL OMG don't come to Canada.

LOL if you find the right Chinese person you can probably sell it for $7 million and watch it sit empty for 2 years as an "investment".
@@dylanr8481 thats how it goes
@@SuperKing604 Yup, that's why you have Chinese nationals who are ACTUALLY accredited doctors coming here to take CULINARY ARTS. Once they pass their little dipshit 1 year program at a Canadian institution they're on the the fast track to Canadian citizenship. After citizenship, their millionaire parents are transferring all their wealth to Canada in the form of business and real estate investment through their "newly Canadian" children because they don't trust their own country's financial market. Canada is slowly becoming a haven for money laundering and transfer of assets from China. Pretty soon I'll be selling tiny homes with 10 ft by 20ft lots for 500k LOL
Now thats what i call interesting news.
mbloggo so true. better than sports
+mbloggo - I don't know if this is interesting at all but this summer , the summer of 2015 i have been winning on a lot of lotto tickets - I at the beginning of summer handed in 8 and won on 4 then again 8 more handed in I won on 4 so 16 tickets 8 had won . you move forward through the june / into july my ticket count was handed in 24 tickets 16 of them had either won or giving me back a free play. the count when to handed in 45 tickets 24 were winners in some way shape or form keep in mind a free play or $2 is a win ( heck ) its not a loss right . so its a win tonight i go into macs store here in canada , i musta handed in 15 or so tickets my ticket count is 60 tickets handed in well 8 again were winners i am 60 for 32 wins ... this is honest as the day is long. its the reason i come home and youtubed lotery stuff and ended up here. just thought for good karma , id attempt on being the first to send it out into the airwaves while im still broke that I am going to WIN THE LOTTERY. LOL. I just looked up the population of all of canada , its 35,749,600.....you cant tell me anyone 1 person out of 36 million canadian people won on 32 out of 60 tickets this summer. cmon thats rare.
just a silly story for anyone that stumbles across it. peace and good fortune to us all.
Jim.

The news anchor: IS THAT ALLOWED??
Why wouldn't it be allowed?
@@pawpatrolnews Canada has laws about people winning sweepstakes/lotteries when working with companies that produce/sponsor said lotteries.
@@LiteDisc fishy
@@foff4446 How's it fishy? It's like laws against insider trading, there to protect competition and the average consumer. They were understandably worried as it appears the TV station has a sponsorship deal with the hospital and given the winner works at the TV station, they were worried it'd be a conflict of interest. But it's clearly not as he would (presumably) have no influence over the outcome of the draw.
But they pulled his name and he won, right?
