Ahhh you’re way too kind 😊 as we said the option to change isn’t there, time and laziness on my part with editing means we pretty much film and edit on the fly and it works for us, it still has the ethos of being our diary of travel in video form over an out and out education channel 😊
Walking in a Winter Wonderland..... ☃️☃️ oh hold in I am watching in March 2024 😂😂 I thought that was you proposing to Heather and leaving the ring on the bench 😂😂 A great video as always.
Nice one R & H, we tried to get on there with friends late September but it was full so we ended up at Ferry Meadows. Will definitely try again in the new year. Cheers from R & H 🙂
That's strange as we nearly booked in there for a Friday night as couldn't get a pitch at EK even though there sat/sun/Mon but then got a place. We did visit the garden centre but it was a touch wet and messy and got filthy on the carpark and had to carry a heavy labrador so she didn't get messy 😂. The site did look very good and we had added to our list for future trips (think it was the week after you) a nice clean site.
Happy new year to for tomorrow and thank you for this vlog ,in June we are off to the Hull area from South Wales and were looking for somewhere to stop off for a few days,Melton Mowbray looks spot an,and I suppose I'll have to try a few beers in the tap room !!😂😂❤❤❤
Looks a nice site. When do we get the van tour? We are really interested in the Apollo and Consort's Oslo, hoping to visit them both, but how do you get on with the compressor fridge? We spend a lot of time in Spain, without electric and concerned about the power consumption. Would prefer a 3 way but they both only fit compressor fridges.
We prefer compressor fridges, never had an issue. We will get round to a tour although in fairness the video where we went to view was a good look around and I’ve done a good view of an Apollo on the channel a while ago 😊
Thanks for the info. Did that road take you all the way into Melton Mawbray, if so is it well sign posted? What was it like walking back in the dark? Which filling did you get with the pork pie? Happy new year to you both!!
The main road way is signposted (the way back) was ok in the dark. The way there involved a few fields but there’s maps by reception. Pork pie had black pudding in!
Bet the beer cost more than the leccy😂 Life beyond bricks tried to do a gas and metered leccy comparison over a week last winter but had to stop as it was costing a fortune. Cheers K.
Across the field was was about 45 minutes, road way would be quicker but it’s noisy as it’s busy. There’s loads of maps on the wall by reception explaining how easy it is. Enjoy it’s a lovely site.
All the best for 2024 Heather, Rick and not forgetting the wee dog.
You too Paul 😊
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Heather & Rick. Your new van looks great and this site looks like a MUST visit. ATB, Helen & Dave
Thanks both we love the van and yes it was a really nice site. Have a great 2024 😊
A brilliant just brilliant vlog, a laugh a minute.
Don't change the format as its getting better and better.
Wishing you all the best for 2024 👍

A great video as always.
Steady on! Marriage is always best avoided 🤣
@@RickandHeather i maybe should have thought about that 15 years ago 😂😂

Great site, we don’t see the fascination with EK but I know a lot like it. This site fits our bill well.
Has the owner of the ring been found? Looked like a great afternoon watching the horses. Hope you have a lovely new year. Take care Gill
Never heard anything from the Police about the ring
As H said not heard anything

Happy New Year’s to you too! Glad our vlog helped, enjoy Melton Mowbray 🙏
Regarding the graffiti, Jackie says it was obviously a pair of scissors, lol ✂️
Not a cock and balls?

We often go to Eye Kettleby Lakes which is superb, Melton Mowbray is very disappointing, wanted it to be so nice but run down, like so many places.
We’re not keen on Eye Kettleby agree MM was scruffy in parts but as you say many places are the same.
That last pub looked fun but the seating didn't look comfy. Hope you had a great Christmas.
Those seats were a bit hard! But great fun we will be back!
A Fulton Boiler I see, I install micro breweries once they get to the size needing steam
Heather is the expert there I just drink it 🤣
Bet the beer cost more than the leccy😂 Life beyond bricks tried to do a gas and metered leccy comparison over a week last winter but had to stop as it was costing a fortune. Cheers K.
Beer is necessary electricity is optional 🤣 life beyond bricks don’t seem to release anything now!
@@RickandHeather Agreed on all counts.
Looks like a nice site Rick may I ask how much your total spend on electricity was for you 2 night stay . Thanks
About £7 we used gas the second night site was good yes
Hi guys can you let me know how long it takes to walk into melton from site please? We are booked in for next weekend 😊
