Appreciate this! I am a relatively new scratch DJ, having learned over the past six months or so on a PT01-Scratch and have been considering a controller like this. I’m also a Maschine user, like you. I wonder if having something Serato-focused would leave me frustrated with integration with Maschine vs. something in the Traktor world (which would obviously be considerably more expensive). Thoughts?
Hey thanks man! As far as integration goes I personally never seen any real need for it. It just doesn't really fit in with my workflow so it has never been that important to me. Also I don't know how well Maschine and Traktor actually integrate. Though there have been rumblings over at Native Instruments so that might see some improvements in the near future. To give you a recommendation I would say don't worry about it too much. With a controller like this you can learn the basics, and if at some point in the future you see something that makes you want to switch to Traktor most of what you learnt will transfer over. If you want you can even use this same controller with Traktor if you want to midi map the controls. Anyway, hope this helps
is there any scratch affordable controllers that work with garageband as a midi controller, and I can scratch some words i record as a wav, to sound more like incubus ?
@@AI-Consultant yeah def better to work with what you have first. Another option might me to try an iPad/iPhone app. I haven't used any recently but I know there are a lot of good ones out there
Great review!

Kit Complete Thanks for the info! :)
For a first controller, can you actually learn something on it? To do something somewhere cool

Nothing that will work with garageband directly. Your best bet is to get a controller like this and record the audio into garageband
@@TheKitComplete I picked up a RC 505 loop station, it has a scratch feature on it with a wheel, i am going to try that first!
