@@OutDehExplorer really, that’s awesome! My daughter just came back from England and I think that’s where her transfer flight was.

I had the same issue on my commuter (cranks locked out on me one day). I brought a Shimano Hollowtech BB and that fixed the issue for me.

@@underbikedoverconfident1142 for me it was the weird combination of chain wheel adapter on crank set that was a little bit wide for the bottom bracket.

I have Chris King Threadfit 30. I used one Alu spacer on the drive side behind the BB cup. That's not an issue, no silly plastic spacer, that's silly. a few shims on the crank spindle. I think it was 4 on my 2019 Geometron G1 with Race face atlas crank set, I had no such issues. This BB has think is nylon adapters which are already that thick, but also robust, so no need for extra spacers on the spindle, it came with thin shims to eliminate play. I think I had to buy the adapters separately.
But the headset come over greased, but If I grease it too much grease comes out and seals eventually come off.

@@mtbboy1993 I think shims on a crank spindle is better than using the spacers on the bottom bracket itself ;for some reason I didn’t even know they existed before!

Never had that issue.. but like they say, you get what you pay for. also only use one spacer usually. Otherwise in my opinion thats not the proper crank for the bike if you need to have spacers stacked

I never ran into the situation I needed more than one spacer before either. But I'm not going to run plastic spacers even with just one anymore after that. And really it's not something new that it should be torqued I just got away without tourqing it properly for so long didn't really think about it

Nah, big ole fine thread, it can take alot more than 50 newton meters even on that little amount of thread lenth!
