I wonder that too. Most likely it's because there's more profit in other makes. But it does pain this Mopar guy, though. We need more support out there.
I learned how to machine motors at a well-known machine shop in Belmont California call Flanigan's we had a meeting one day annals about quality versus bigger paychecks and the whole crew was unanimous we wanted to put out quality work sacrificing a few dollars in our pockets we didn't want to crank out junk which is poor quality workmanship also we are probably the best VW engine builders in the whole Bay Area
Greg Reitan - I'm 100% sure if it left anything on the cylinder it wouldn't make it out the door. Like you said it raw casting so it hasn't been worked on yet.
What I want to know is... once a casting is accepted for machining, where do they start? There's a ton of videos about various procedures [decking, line honing etc], but setting up the first two index points is about the most important cuts - get those wrong and its off to the scrap heap.
Multi million dollar operation and you choose to screw with me over a big block chevy,Wont return my calls and wont answer my questions on when we can end this nightmare. Its been a year and a half now and I did have to buy another engine because jeff pahl refu ses to give any thing back.Yea I did go in the back door and dont have anything but a hand shake binding our contract for him to build an engine for me .Funny he took 2 grand and all my engine parts and wont communicate at all .
a six minute video on how you are suppose to build the best and all we get is your mouth running off about how good you are.... why not make a proper video of your supposedly great manufacturing in complete... should come out to be about an hour and a half long don't you think...and maybe keep the "Look how great I am" shit down to a minimum
notice the chain and hook lifting the engine by it's cylinder at 5:48. wonder which lucky racer will get this one
+barry soetoro Those are the rough castings. There is plenty of metal in there to be cut off yet.
barry soetoro - I'm 100% sure it won't leave the building if it didn't pass inspection.
I'm building a falcon and need a set of heads ready to go
Will a 400 block work in my 95 chevy C 1500 w/ topend kit for plug n play ?
How come they build
no mopar stuff.
My thoughts exactly!

That was a raw casting engine block being lifted by a chain and hook. So take a deep breath and relax.
