Really hoping you get to test the CAT WB 718 and Ti. These are short (5.5") cans that weigh almost nothing. The weight for Titanium is 6.9 oz and for Inconel is 12.8 oz. These are supposed to be Hux back pressure low and have that deep low sound that competes with the best of them. I would love to see this silencer up against this Vent 3! THANK YOU for making this channel and doing the video's the way that you are. The community needed this!!
Thank you so much for your positive feedback and support. It really does mean the world to us. We would definitely like to get some of their suppressors on the channel, but they’re not responding to us, like at all.

Pewscience has tested both cans. The vent performs better than WB on a shorter barrel than the wb was tested with. The CAT titanium does have a really low heat rating though
@@TheMikeshannon The WB and the Vent 3 are two different sub categories of cans. The WB is a K can while the Vent is a full size can. The WB also weighs and costs significantly less than the Vent 3. The Vent 3 is only a 1.6 points higher than the WB. There’s a lot of other factors as well that should be taken into consideration.
My biggest concern would be service life. Titanium baffles already don't last as long as stainless or inconel, and having the whole thing be 3D printed and porous seems like a good recipe for it to start eroding holes in itself in 3k rounds.
That’s a good point! We will put this one and several other titanium through many more test to come. If we find fail points, we will definitely report back.

@@SilencerSyndicateJay, from Pew Science, ranked this MUCH higher (42.5) than the CAT WB (35) on a Mk 18 (10.3”) He has yet to rate it on an M4 length barrel, but, I would expect it to be rated somewhere between 45-50 on a 16” That’s amazing for a 5.56 can!!!!!!
This was such a great video! Can't wait to see you test even more of the claimed super quiet low backpressure suppressors. 3d printing has really taken the suppressor world by storm and we're seeing some really amazing things come out of it. Can't wait to see what the next video is!
Thank you so much for your positive feedback and support. It really does mean a lot to us. Yes there’s a lot of people claiming some pretty impressive things. I’m really surprised that PTR was able to deliver so many of their promises. More videos to come.
U guys seems very knowledgeable and this is a great comparison video but, $1500? Why not promote any multitude of HUB interchangeable suppressors added with BCG designed to mitigate gases while using a suppressor like lantac. You spend less than $1,000 and then take the other $500 and buy ammo with and you're still better off
Thanks for watching. We're not promoting this suppressor, we were given an opportunity to test it and we had the same reaction: $1500??? Seriously??? So we wanted to see if it was worth the price tag.
Just a head up: I feel like this "foam 3d printed technology" is going to get copied almost immediately. Most 3d printed suppressors are made using DMLS (or other more expensive) 3d printers all costing in the $10s of thousands hence the reason I don't have any experience with that exact type of 3d printer but I do own several 3d printers both FDM and DLP (the 2 most common types which use plastic and UV cure resin respectively) and while they all use totally different technology the making of foam type stuff on FDM printers happens accidentally all the time and it can be programmed to do it they just almost never print metals because its better to do it with DMLS typically and most people don't even know you can print metal on FDM printers if you use a very special type of material and then sinter it aka throw it in a very powerful special high temp oven. DMLS 3d printers work way differently and basically have a bed of metal powder and a laser melts a design into that layer on the bed of powder then the machine pushes another layer on top of it and the process repeats over and over again until you have a mostly finished part then you do the sintering and post processing and all that. In other words I can think of a couple ways the "3d printed foam" could probably be done and I'm no expert so if the suppressor really is that good then you can bet other manufacturers are already working on copying it and testing different ways to do so and I don't think it's probably as hard to make or do as they make it seem. Also I feel like it could be done on a FDM 3d printer too in which case I'd know exactly how they do it and exactly why the cost is as high as it is because the type of FDM material you'd use is expensive as hell last time I checked and again with that type of printer it should be very easy to recreate they would just probably have to do even more post processing work than DMLS printed parts which its usually the other way around. Anyway its all complicated and props to them for the ingenuity and I hope they make some good money if it is that good but I wouldn't count on that being the only one to use that "technology" for very long and with competition comes price drops
I do think it’s worth $1500 however it’s just too much for me to justify with so many other options out there. I’ll wait for a black Friday sale or just wait long enough for them to drop the price
Its actually quite nice when a company promises the moon and actually delivers. Well provided the Vent 1 for 7.62 is just as good, its going to get added to the "next purchase" list. EDIT: The sole thing that makes me not dead set is still unfortunately the price but to be fair im not a rich man either so $1500 to some people is alot but not crazy where I can barely justify that at this point.
So help me understand these settings and backpressure better. Lower numbers on your gas block = higher back pressure from the suppressor. Shouldn't the shorter barrel have a higher back pressure since there's less space in the barrel for the gas to expand before getting "stuck" in the suppressor?
I prefer these longer videos as the shorter ones. Not saying every video has to be long but I enjoy suppressor content so much that I do prefer the long versions lol! Awesome video Rob!
Thanks for your feedback and support! We'll try to keep mixing in occasional long videos. It's many hours of work, but our subscribers make it more feasible as we grow.
Thank you, we did chat for a while about going over the tent to 11 minute window and decided that this video had too much to cover in such a short period of time. We’re happy to see that people are watching the video in its entirety. Thank you for your positive feedback and support, more to come.
These videos are coming out with perfect timing. Just finished building my 11.5 sbr and highly vested in low back pressure suppressors for it. Keep up the good work. On a side note have you heard anything about the velos k?
After taxes and stamp you'll $1800+ PTR really pushing it on this one. Too many great cans in the 800-1000 range and amazing value cans at the 400-800 range. its only "Full-Auto Capable" while the 9mm rating shows what the cans real limits might look like "120 Rounds (full auto) - 10 Minute cool down 9MM" unless you're getting a less durable 9mm suppressor for the same price as their 556/762. Either way really enjoying your long format videos.
That was totally our thoughts, way too high of a price point to be in that space. Also for the first year making Suppressors. We are pleasantly surprised with the results we found. Is it worth the $1500? That’s up to the individual. I’m glad you enjoyed the format, we debated for sometime over trying to compress it into the normal 12 minutes or letting it go long. I think let it go. Long gave the view as much more insight to what we were doing.thank you again for your feedback
Congratulations on the 100k views, incredible that you've achieved this milestone so quickky. Great video! $1500 is going to be a pretty tough nut to crack especially right now when people just dont have the expendable income they did a few years back. Looking forward to you doing further testing using a decibel meter to see exactly how they stack up. Thanks again for another great video!
I don’t know if this is the right place to ask about the ptr suppressors but I have the idea that it is a porous material since they said it is a titanium ‘foam’. Does that mean that some of the gases leave the suppressor through the sides as well? Does this allow the suppressor to vent/breath better because of this. One area of concern if this is true is if you were to paint over the suppressor would that cause issues?
No, the suppressor just uses that porous titanium "foam" on the inside. It mainly just results in the suppressor needing to be cleaned occasionally. We just got ours about 2 days ago, so we'll continue testing it to see how it holds up over time.
Thanks Mr. Brown, we appreciate you! Yeah, I was blown away by how quiet that can was behind the gun with no ears. Not "Hollywood" quiet, but still very quiet compared to most other cans.
Great video!! I got to handle the Vents, and they are beautiful cans, but the price makes it a no-go for me. Which is a bummer because I like the vent 2 a lot.
Yeah, they are definitely priced outside many budgets. The PTR is a great can, but thankfully there are new players coming into the market every day with the rise in popularity of suppressors. I'm sure we'll see lots of competition on price, technology and features as time goes on.
Another video well done. I don't have the disposable income to purchase such a high end can, so I gotta stick with the blue collar cans from YHM and Griffin Armament.
There are many people buying cans that cost more than this one. Like the RC3, most all 50 BMG cans, several 338 cans a few sig cans, CGS has several, rugged Alaskan 360 Ti. Really it more of a good or bad fit. I was blown away with this price for a 556 can but it’s a really good can. Worth 1500? That’s up to you 😊
With tax stamp I paid almost $1500 for my latest can. Still in ATF jail so I can't comment yet but yes any can north of $1000 excluding tax stamp is pricey.
I just watched this again, after purchasing the Vent 3. Giving a shout out to Primary Arms, for a much reduced price of under $1,200. I don’t think anyone comes close to that price. Is it worth it? I sure hope so 😬👍🏻
Thank you for the positive feedback and support, this is their first year making Suppressors and that’s a big price point for the first year. Hopefully this video brought clarity to their price point and their product. Thank you for your positive feedback and support.
There are SO DAMN MANY OPTIONS ! I've been looking and learning and still know nothing, I was hoping to have just one that can do 556 and 300BLK by changing mount and end cap . The 300BLK is the most difficult to tune in the back pressure for sub's I may have to have a dedicated can for that , which means I'd have to have two one for each. Death air sand man L, or Omega 36M , YHM 30 , HUXWRKS . Cost - sound - weight each are important.
yea its more of a conversation than a simple recommendation but we will do our best to get good info out there to help. Thank you for the kind words and support!
Congrats on the 100 K subscriptions. Would love to see a review of the PTR vent 1 for those of us that have a 7.62 x 39 and a 5.56 rifle as well. Can it serve dual purpose for both rifles? Would also like to see if some of the 5.56 suppressors could do double duty on a 5.7 x 28 pistol. Just trying to see how we can get the most bang for our buck and what would the trade offs be for a multi-role suppressor. Loving the content and how this channel is growing!
We did get to shoot their 30 caliber suppressor. But they are not available for purchase. They offered us an opportunity to be front of the line to get one. To be honest part of me wants one in part of me doesn’t. I’d like to do a lot more testing before I say it’s worth the price point.
@@Ertactical Thanks for the update - I have to say that at 1,500 dollars it’s almost worth getting separate suppressors, 1 for the AR and another for the AK. Would love to which suppressor provides low back pressure, good sound reduction and sells for less than 1K.
It's 3D printed so it should be LESS EXPENSIVE THEN MOST SILENCERS. This over charging Americans while at the same time promoting made in the USA is the exact reason most Americans go and buy foreign products. If you want loyalty stop trying to rationalize price gouging us Americans damn it. This goes for all over pricing and gouging US manufacturers.
the good news is, you can not buy one if you don't want to. I like the one i have. some will find it worth the 1500 and some will not. we get to choose. My goal it to help get the info out. but you need to pick for your self. Have a great day.
Velos is a hard use can. The vent is not purely by material construction. The Velos is the best all around 556 can I own for ARs with barrels 14.5 and under. Better than my RC2, turbo k, polonium k, etc. longer barrels I prefer the mini 2, polonium k, and other k cans for length and weight. I want to try the Velos k however
We have been testing the entire lineup from Silencerco in their VELOS Suppressors. And we are extremely impressed. Video to come on this topic specifically soon.
Any thoughts on overall toughness of these cans? If my rifle falls over and the middle of the can hits the corner of a bench on the way down, is the can going to snap in half? Or be unfazed? The Vent 3 looks awesome in how quiet it is. But, I can't help thinking it looks flimsy. Like it would break from staring at it too hard. A buddy of mine loves his Thunderbeast cans because he says they're quiet AND he can use them as a club if all else fails. I don't want to club people with my cans, but I also don't want something that will be destroyed in a minor mishap.
good question, i guess we will learn that with more testing and we are doing lots.. we did more yesterday with it and will again on the 5th... we will keep you up to speed on it
Honestly the car salesman turns me off a little more than the price point. Titanium isn't necessarily known for hard use either. All that being said it's always good to see another player in this space. I'm sure they'll provide more innovation as time passes.
Great job and we really appreciate side-by-side comparisons. It's refreshing to see unbiased videos. Keep up the good work. I shot these PTR suppressors at a few events. Game changers.
I noticed in this video that on your 11.5" rifle you are adjusting a gas block through the rail with a bullet. What gas block are you using? I have been looking at the Riflespeed gas blocks, but my setup according to their configuration tool says none will work on my system. Like your rifle, my setup is the similar in no clearance after rail to muzzle device. Thanks for the help.
Yes, those gas blocks are amazing but they definitely take tinkering, I can’t say I have any good solutions other than having some extra barrels and rail systems so that you can attempt a few options
I'm working on a 7.5 300 blackout. I'm a leftty like you are. I would like to know what suppressor is best to keep gas out of my face first, second good sound and low to no muzzle raise.? Thanks for your help and videos.
we do have a flow K and we like it. I don't think I am too interested in anymore of the Flow cans as they are really loud. so many other company's are making low BP cans that are actually quiet. If Hux sends one then we will test it but they are just so loud that its hard to be excited about them.
Also just to add theres a little misleading wording in the pew science rankings. It is the quietest at the muzzle but gets beat by 3 other cans at the ear. (not including the DSX since its on a tuned upper that nothing else has been tested on)
Each one will offer different pros and cons, if you’re going to see extremely high use titanium might not be your friend. If you’re not going to put it through heavy round counts, you might enjoy the lightweight titanium instead. We are advancing very quickly in the technology of Suppressors and wear some medals were not ideal. They are quickly becoming ideal. It really comes down to your needs as an individual.
....and here it is!.. This is the video I was waiting for. I'm glad to see it performed good and that is a feat within itself considering it's their first suppressor. This being said, I do have some reservations mainly since it's their first and we all know how common issues usually are on initial products. The other concern is on the proprietary PIP. Most know that Titanium does have some amazing properties but unfortunately its not the best in erosion, this said I wonder how this foam like, porous formed Ti would hold up to abusing cycles or FA schedules. This basic comparison does show a positive outlook on this newcomer but I'm just wondering on long term wear & warranty. Although Bill was a great salesman, we didn't get any warranty nor factory servicing information. In retrospect, price & performance I'll take the 7.62 FLOW Ti. Thank you for this initial review guys! Great job..👏 EDIT: I covered my opinions on the rifle cans. As mentioned, 9mm platforms don't usually suffer from back pressures, as gas operated intermediate cartridge platforms do. The inflated price of hi-tech 3-D printed, Ti LBP is an advantage, I don't think the costs measures to these advantages. it's hard to justify $1500 for a pistol cartridge tube, that does not blow the competition out of the water. For less than half the price, you have options with similar performance like the Omega 9K. Again... this is just my perspective.. 😉
Pew Science has only tested the Nomad-L on 308 bolt gun, not 5.56 on either barrel length. I'd be curious to see the Nomad's results for sure. But the sales rep was not entirely incorrect; the measurements gathered by Pew Science for the Vent3 on the 10.3" MK18 are quieter than even the CAT WB is on a 14.5", making it the quietest (least damaging) suppressor in the 556 test matrix thus far. As far as hearing damage risk comparison; Nomad-L on 20" 308 bolt gun is 21.3 points quieter at the shooter's ear and 9.4 points quieter overall than the Vent is on the 10.3" Mk18. Largely due to it being a bolt action and having the endcap further away from the shooter's head. But the Vent on a short barrel semi auto getting that close to a top performing bolt gun suppressor like the Nomad is very impressive. Cracking the 40 zone in muzzle suppression on the MK18 has yet to be done by any other suppressor. Makes me excited for the growth of the suppression industry. Pew Science has improved customer knowledge and created a better frame of reference to better quantify performance than simply decibel meters designed for steady state noise. This new frame of reference showcases the benefits of advanced technology, which created a market for people to consider buying advanced tech instead of the same old omega baffle ripoffs that we've been fed for years.
Still over-priced. I figured this stuff out a year ago but didn't have the money to setup the right printers for either metal printing or sintering to metal. Just combining modern flow-through design with good baffling and geometries that you can only get with 3d printing makes it work. Once up and running, the profit margin is high on FDM and gets better with volume. I suspect that you are going to get carbon clogging in the "porosity" - you will need to use some solvent and sonic vibration (think jewelry cleaning) to maintain them. Great but over-priced... once we win back the right to make home suppressors (from something other than Fram filters), we'll have a more reasonable ecosystem and economy for modern suppressors from 3d printing. I'm ready. P.S. You really should have used a meter instead of just your ears - the details matter.
Thanks again for the great videos. I like that you did subjective sound comparison, something I haven't noticed on your other videos. Unfortunately for me barrier into the suppressor world is cost. It would be great if you could test some lower cost options like the Aero Precision to see how well they measures up.
I wish you put a bore scope down these suppressors to see the design difference. Sure that isn’t a cross sectional view but at least it would be a neat data point.
That’s a great idea! We’d have to make sure we have permission to do that. Many manufactures will claim proprietary information. And I don’t want there to be any legal ramifications. But that is a great idea!
It's definitely great to see new ideas making their way into the suppressor market. Hopefully, the reduced wait times and consumer demand will continue pushing real innovation in suppressors. Thanks for watching 🍻
We will def need to circle back and so a 9mm vid. got lots more to do on 556 and other rifle cals first. Thanks for your positive feedback and comments.
I think you brought up a good video content. As someone who owns lots of suppressors, a cleaning vid would be good. Do you different techniques on different ones? What solutions work best? How to protect the finish so it goes in black the the day you bought, but comes out shiny polished? Let's see how you maintain your favorite Nomad 30.
I have a suggestion of two different videos. 1. Tough, durable go to war 556 can. 2. 556 can for no barrel length restriction. Check out Rugged and Maxim.
@@Ertactical Sorry for dumping on you but I have two more. 1. Test Witt Machine Canooter, Big Body tu tu, Mod 1 556. 2. Run that winner up against the Rex Silentium Ultra Low Back pressure 556.
I would like to know how hard you can push it. What's the cool down period per shot rate? Edit: What is the maximum recommended temperature for the suppressor AND What is the max firing rate to get to that temperature?
@Ertactical Right. PTR's website says they are full-auto rated but Pewscience says they can do 120 rounds followed by a 10MINUTE cool down... I'm trying to avoid any cool down period
Awesome video and my biggest factor is warranty and customer service. If a company gives customers a hard time, I’m out no matter how good their products are.
Totally agree with you. We need to do a video on this exact topic, warranty, and customer service. It’s a great topic and we’re limited dark experience with it.
@@Ertactical I agree with you on loving the Nomad L because my buddy has one and it’s awesome. I almost got one but saw too many issues with customer service on people having with them so that lead me away from dead air over all. Sadly I wanted a Nomad L but if their warranty and service is slow and crappy, I’m out and went to other brands.
Great video yet again. I've shot the PTR products and each of the Vent suppressors and they are awesome. Also talked to Bill and his team at a view different events and they are the kind of people I like to support. Now, after seeing this video, I'm finally sold as well. I'll never invest in another can that isn't high flow again either.
We actually asked this question at the range. The porosity is the reason why this can needs to be cleaned every 1,000 to 2,000 rounds (or when the can gains 1oz in weight). Thanks for watching, we appreciate your support 🍻
@@SilencerSyndicate Its just science. The pores will be fouled via a gradual pore plugging model, similar to what happened to an asymmetric filter element. Maybe PTR has a backflushing procedure for the saps that buy into this stuff... 🤷♂
I’m not sure if anyone else noticed, but the little blurb of the .30 cal can on and off a “G3” type rifle? The clip of the non suppressed ptr91 obviously had been manipulated. Anyone who has any experience knows that G3 type rifles throw brass like a morherfucker unsuppressed. The rifle in the video had brass flopping out.
It wasn’t our rifle, PTR likely tuned the rifle for a suppressor, which is frankly a good thing to do for any rifle running a suppressor. The 7.62 Vent suppression is still in development, they just gave us an early test drive. So no “manipulation” going on here, just a good understanding of how to setup a suppressor host so that it isn’t over gassed. Thanks for watching.
yup, good call, they set that gun for their can. we don't have that can but when we get it we will be testing on our rig so all things will be fair. as u noticed this vid was more about the 556 can.
@@SilencerSyndicate G3 type rifles like mp5’s aren’t gassed. You can however change out the bolt locking piece. Even with that being done, the brass flopping out is abnormal.
PTR makes nonfunctional products and has awful customer service. I bought one of their $1,800 mp5k clones and it has never worked. They hassled me for 3 years, sending me the gun back broken in new and interesting ways each time. The final time, they destroyed the receiver and taunted me over it. They are absolute scumbags. On top of it never working, it doesn't accept any mp5k parts or furniture because it's so out of spec.

Agreed, seems neat. I look forward to getting mine in so i can do lots more testing.
I do think it’s worth $1500 however it’s just too much for me to justify with so many other options out there. I’ll wait for a black Friday sale or just wait long enough for them to drop the price
Yea, I was thinking maybe after the first year of production the pice might go down but IDK
Yeah, it's a big chunk of change for sure! Thanks for watching 🍻
Totally understand! $1500 is a lot of money even though it is a great suppressor.
Great video and great information! Congratulations guys!
Thanks so much!
Impressive product and video. Keep up the good work.
I enjoy the flow through cans and especially the 3d printed ones, but how does warranty work when there no way to really work on something like these?
So at the end of the day I'm glad I went bt srbs for 950 with free stamp vs 1500+stamp
These videos are coming out with perfect timing. Just finished building my 11.5 sbr and highly vested in low back pressure suppressors for it. Keep up the good work. On a side note have you heard anything about the velos k?
Glad you enjoyed the video, we have emailed SoCo to request that can.
Bro!!!! Congrats on the 100k!!
Great channel. Buying? No I will not, not in this economy.
yeah its a lot of coin and times are def tuff
Its a giant can of course it has less pressure.
The nomad is the same ish size and has high back pressure. Size doesn’t determine BP. Thanks for watching
Thank you for your positive feedback and support, as of this morning we actually had 225,000! Much more to come
I don’t know if this is the right place to ask about the ptr suppressors but I have the idea that it is a porous material since they said it is a titanium ‘foam’.
Curious on how the Nomad LT compares as you are closer to that 11oz in weight.
the Nomad Lti is 12.6 on their webpage, but it had barrel length restrictions of 12.5"
Awesome vid!!
Seeing Kraken smile after he shot his round was priceless!!
Much love to you allllll!
Thanks Mr. Brown, we appreciate you! Yeah, I was blown away by how quiet that can was behind the gun with no ears. Not "Hollywood" quiet, but still very quiet compared to most other cans.
thanks bro! love ya back! =)
Definitely in the higher bracket for price point. But incredible delivery on all the other fronts.
Another video well done. I don't have the disposable income to purchase such a high end can, so I gotta stick with the blue collar cans from YHM and Griffin Armament.
We are very excited to test both of those brands. I believe we have two from each manufacturer on the way.
Certified my form 4 on 5/2 for my first suppressor. It was a Vent 2, I can’t wait‼️
congrats! Xmas is coming! Thank you! We love sharing good info and helping the quiet 2a community, thank you for the positive feed back and support =)
Been looking at a Huxwurx 762Ti eagerly awaiting the 308 version of this to see a comparison.
you need to invest in sound equipment buddy instead of using your ears lol
Quick answer.... No supressor is worth $1500.00
😂...yeah, it's definitely in a higher bracket. Thanks for watching 🍻
Worth 1500? That’s up to you 😊
You could just tell us that you’re poor, it would have saved you some words.
tbh I'd rather get both a 5.56 and 7.62 Velos for just a bit more. well, for just the cans at least. the $200 bullshit tax skews things.
I sure hope so 😬👍🏻
they are solid for all your 2a needs!
I’ve spent over a thousand on two rifle cans. Fifteen hundred is a hard sell to any average person even if it’s a perfect suppressor.
Yep, the price tag is definitely steep. I wouldn't call it the perfect suppressor, but it's a big step forward.
@@SilencerSyndicate If I’m going to spend fifteen hundred bucks on a suppressor i’m getting a 338 large bore so I can get a 8.6blk setup.
Did he drive up to your range in a flex seal boat too? :)
Hahahah
Great video! I had no clue about PTR before this.
Thank you for the positive feedback and support, this is their first year making Suppressors and that’s a big price point for the first year. Hopefully this video brought clarity to their price point and their product. Thank you for your positive feedback and support.
Yeah, their history is mostly HK clones so this is a strong and unexpected entry into the suppressor market. Thanks for watching 🍻
The PTR doesn't have 30 cal yet. It's in testing.
Thanks, much appreciated!
RUclips fucking sucks.
Yeah, uncool games. Thanks for helping us fight
True story
Yea, he was a bit sales-ish as mentioned in the vid. but it is a solid can. Def not a hard use can. Thanks for your positive feedback and comments.
Great job and we really appreciate side-by-side comparisons. It's refreshing to see unbiased videos. Keep up the good work. I shot these PTR suppressors at a few events. Game changers.
Thanks for your support. We were definitely impressed by this suppressor to say the least. More to come!
Thanks for your help and videos.
good question, we may need to have more of a conversation on this. Thank you for the kind words and support!
My real question is long term capability of the can given the purposefully induced porosity. Have you thought about getting a Flow 556 Ti?
we do have a flow K and we like it.
(not including the DSX since its on a tuned upper that nothing else has been tested on)
thank you for adding that. we have also found a few other little details in regard to that study and its interpretation. Thank you =)
Love my nomad L and my osprey 9. The osprey sounds amazing on my scorpion. Keep these videos coming!!
Thanks for watching 🍻
The vent line WAS worth it, until CAT released their line and undercut the vent on price by a big margin and performs higher
We will definitely need to be testing one of those. Thank you for your input.
Can titanium stand up to inconel considering round count? No? Give me inconel...
It really comes down to your needs as an individual.
marketing guy should have ran his mouth after the testing not before.
Hahahha he had big promises, I was surprised he was able to deliver on most of them
What type of warranty does the PTR come with? Do they stand behind their products like Silencerco and Dead Air?
customer services is a great topic and we are currently working on a vid just for that.. thanks for the tip
Really liking the channel. Do you have any Griffin cans to review? Seems they are left out of a lot of reviews.
Some Griffin cans are on the way to us. It's been a popular request so we'll be testing some in the very near future! Thanks for your support.
they are on the way. should have em soon. Thank you for the kind words and support!
Fantastic, looking forward to it. Mind spoiling what models?
@@rayyoder6440 the two contract 556 cans I think
Haven't watched the entire video yet but I'm wondering how the titanium holds up and if its rated for even 10 round mag dumps?
good Q, we did do a belt fed vid with 2 Ti cans and one SF can.. none of em made it but it was fun to learn what they could take.. vid will come soon
My question is how fast is the PIP going to clog off with carbon. Some powders are extremely dirty.
I was thinking that too.. guess we will see
Thank you for the video guys. Keep up the hard work.
Thank you! We love sharing good info and helping the quiet 2a community, thank you for the positive feed back and support =)
....and here it is!..
Great job..👏
EDIT: I covered my opinions on the rifle cans.
Thank you for your feedback and thoughts. We will continue testing and will keep you updated. 😊
Thanks for watching. We look forward to getting a Vent 3 in our hands so we can see how it holds up over time and round count.
@@SilencerSyndicate Thank you and the folks from ER Tactical.
This new frame of reference showcases the benefits of advanced technology, which created a market for people to consider buying advanced tech instead of the same old omega baffle ripoffs that we've been fed for years.
thank you for sharing, lots of good intel. =)
Def need a DB reader, wanna buy us one hahah they are $$$ Thank you for the kind words and support!
No Flow? That's been viewed as the standard in reduced back pressure for a good while now.
we have 3 HUX cans. they are on our webpage to compare data.
Felt like I was watching an infomercial for a minute
😂😂😂
Hahaha totally
Thanks again for the great videos. I like that you did subjective sound comparison, something I haven't noticed on your other videos. Unfortunately for me barrier into the suppressor world is cost. It would be great if you could test some lower cost options like the Aero Precision to see how well they measures up.
I wish you put a bore scope down these suppressors to see the design difference. Sure that isn’t a cross sectional view but at least it would be a neat data point.
Our Vent suppressor will be out of jail any day now so we'll be able to do a lot more testing and experimentation soon. Thanks for watching!
That’s a great idea! We’d have to make sure we have permission to do that. Many manufactures will claim proprietary information. And I don’t want there to be any legal ramifications. But that is a great idea!
@@Ertactical if you own the suppressor or you’re even testing it out that wouldn’t stop you as if it is proprietary then their patent covers that.
Revolutionary can. Mark your calendars. This thing will change things forever
It's definitely great to see new ideas making their way into the suppressor market. Hopefully, the reduced wait times and consumer demand will continue pushing real innovation in suppressors. Thanks for watching 🍻
Titanium foam sounds fun to clean, which is probably why it was not mentioned.
he mentioned how to clean it.
I was always told in past not to ultrasonic titanium that’s why I went with stainless, said would become brittle?
good Q! IDK
should compare that vent 9mm to rugged r9, full config.
i don't have one but we will see about getting one.
Would like to see a 9mm suppressor review! Specifically between the Mojave 9 and the new Maxim Defense MS-9!!!
We will def need to circle back and so a 9mm vid. got lots more to do on 556 and other rifle cals first. Thanks for your positive feedback and comments.

There's been quite a wait for these suppressors. Thanks for watching!
With Suppressors moving as fast as they are supply will be a big problem for a while I think. Get them while you can.
We need you to review the Vent 1 now that Pew data is unreal. I don’t care as much about a 308 bolt gun vs an AR 308.
I'm sure we'll be getting our hands on one in the not too distant future now that we're starting our .308/7.62 series of testing, stay tuned!
@@SilencerSyndicate I guess I will have to review it as well since I just ordered one 😂🙃

I just bought this can for my AR yesterday. I cannot wait to pick it up and try it!
I think you brought up a good video content. As someone who owns lots of suppressors, a cleaning vid would be good. Do you different techniques on different ones? What solutions work best? How to protect the finish so it goes in black the the day you bought, but comes out shiny polished? Let's see how you maintain your favorite Nomad 30.
good call. we will get working on that
Yo is that an Archon Type B?
Was not expecting to see that today! Do you have any interest in the gen 2, or are you satisfied with the gen 1?
It is, however, it does not belong to us. PTR brought it out for demonstration. I used a Glock 17 for my testing.
Do you have a Gen 1? If so, you will soon be able to buy the Gen 2 lower on the PTR website.
Looking forward to your PTR Vent 1 evaluation, Rob! Suppressor design is advancing at a rapid rate compared to years past. Exciting times!

I have a suggestion of two different videos. 1. Tough, durable go to war 556 can. 2. 556 can for no barrel length restriction. Check out Rugged and Maxim.
good call, I should def do that vid! thanks for the feed back!
Edit:
What is the maximum recommended temperature for the suppressor AND What is the max firing rate to get to that temperature?
All good questions, we may do some torture tests in the near future. Thanks for watching 🍻
Good question, we should’ve asked that when we were filming.
@Ertactical Right. PTR's website says they are full-auto rated but Pewscience says they can do 120 rounds followed by a 10MINUTE cool down... I'm trying to avoid any cool down period
@@JASHARRIS totally understand. You might want to call them. I’ve been surprised how good peoples customer service is.
Pretty amazing results, especially for the size and weight. Just need the price to come down.
yea, it is NOT cheap
I would consider this can if I was in that price bracket.
she is not cheap!
What happens when the porosity holes get clogged up with carbon and any unburnt powder? Does flow through and sound suffer?
We actually asked this question at the range. The porosity is the reason why this can needs to be cleaned every 1,000 to 2,000 rounds (or when the can gains 1oz in weight). Thanks for watching, we appreciate your support 🍻
Damien brought up that question when we were filming and the rep even answers it about Cleaning.
We have a cleaning procedure outlined on our website. As long as you follow the cleaning guidelines, the VENT will not have these issues.
I have a Steyr AUG A3 M1 and a SW MP 10. What suppressor(s) should I get? Will a 9 mm Vent work for both platforms, and 9 mm pistols?
Pores clog terrible design
We shall find out soon, we're putting ours through some more tests and will do a future video with our updated experiences. Thanks for watching 🍻
@@SilencerSyndicate Its just science. The pores will be fouled via a gradual pore plugging model, similar to what happened to an asymmetric filter element. Maybe PTR has a backflushing procedure for the saps that buy into this stuff... 🤷♂
Good stuff
Pause at 12:15 in the video. What bipod is that? Link??
B+T atlas bipod
PTR makes nonfunctional products and has awful customer service.
I bought one of their $1,800 mp5k clones and it has never worked. They hassled me for 3 years, sending me the gun back broken in new and interesting ways each time. The final time, they destroyed the receiver and taunted me over it. They are absolute scumbags.
On top of it never working, it doesn't accept any mp5k parts or furniture because it's so out of spec.
I cant say i love their MP5s but these cans have been good so far. more testing to come. Thanks for your positive feedback and comments.
@@Ertactical I wasn't being positive, but if I save someone from buying a PTR product, that'd be of great benefit to them.
@@howitreallyis2235 well said, as this channel is about education, not promotion. I appreciate you sharing your experience and feedback. Understand that I see your feedback as positive. Because you’re sharing with our industry. Not all the things I have to say are positive either. But it creates a positive understanding of the industry. Thank you.
Picked up a vent 3. It’s good, not sure it’s $1500 good. It is heavier than my other TI suppressors.
Definitely comes down to some preferences. I think it’s a great suppressor, but I do think it’s a high price point.
will they be doing a 300 BLK?
They have a 7,62 can coming
You should do a video on the KAC MCQ QDC PRT
those are some $$$$ cans, we will grow our channel a little more then we will reach out to KAC. Thank you! thank you for the positive feed back and support =)
