- The 9mm PSA Dagger is an outstanding pistol for the money but how does it hold up in adverse conditions? Today we torture test the PSA Dagger in sand, water, mud, underwater, with the wrong ammo, being dropped onto rocks, and with an obstructed barrel. Will it survive?

I'm willing to bet that 100% of those ftf and fte were caused by the pmag. You should have tried this test with a standard glock mag. Those pmags are good for range day , but ive heard not really trust worthy for competition or edc. The spring gets caught up inside the polymer causing drag which in this case your ftf and fte. Great video by the way. Also the under water shot you can see that the slide hit the 2x4 that's why it didn't feed all the way.
Very likely, I've never really cared for Pmags with my ARs either. That underwater rig was jankily made up on the spot, I'm surprised it worked at all! Thanks for watching.

I prefer Lancer mags TBH. P mags don't always drop free. A lot of the time, you have to pull them out of the magwell.
I have a Dagger and the PMAG constantly fails. But when I use Glock mags it works like a charm
I'll have to give that a shot. Under normal conditions my pmags have been great
The guy at PSA I bought mine from said to avoid the pmag unless you’re at the range shooting FMJ. For carry and JHP use a Glock mag. I think it’s the pmags don’t have the metal bit where it feeds

First time catching your content and enjoyed the review. Built my Dagger last year and for the money it’s great. Not a big fan of the trigger but still a great buy. Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing more of your content.
The trigger is kinda meh and the slide separates from the frame a little when fired but it's an excellent gun for the money. Thanks for watching and merry Christmas !
I had swapped the connector to an OEM one from Glock
And swapped the trigger shoe to a Standardco one

Nice video, I’d like to see a non slide cut version get the test as you mentioned in the start all the extra intrusion points are additional points of failure.
Also have 1k thru mine with no issues, she shoots everybit as good as an oem Glock. PSA is awesome, but haters gonna hate.

I think the reasoning behind removing extra material for all the optic cut slides is to help account for the weight of the optic. Given that Glock 19 cut for RMR don't seem to have reliability issues, I'd very much so like to see it on the Dagger as well

I just bought a P.S.A. Dagger lower so this video caught my attention. Gonna go check out some of your other videos now. If you happen to read all of this 1 question I have for you is, where did you pick up that budget red dot? Also through P.S.A.? I don't feel like purchasing another Holosun 507K X2 which I have on my CZ Shadow 2 Compact, of which I very highly recommend b.t.w. and that's coming from a die-hard 1911/2011 fan. You seem to be a republican or at least libertarian which is almost good enough😂, which is something our great Constitutional Representative Republic needs more of since we have been a bit off track as of late, similar to my comments here this evening. Sort of all over the road as it were.

Just to share, I've had issues with various 124 grain ammo in Glock magazines, due to it being slightly longer than 115 grain.
Good point! I've never had feeding issues but when debris is added it can make a huge difference.

My experience was condition 1 top round fed ok with the one below wedged, condition 2 feed failure top couple rounds loose in mag with a wedged round at the transition from double stack to single. @@kkpage01100

In my experience, I have never dropped a firearm in my entire life, despite having dropped my phone numerous times.
Furthermore, mud and sand tests may not be entirely relevant. If one anticipates encountering muddy or sandy conditions and potentially needing to use a firearm, it would be advisable to carry a long gun too. However, I find it difficult to envision a realistic scenario where this would be necessary. Having said that, I enjoyed the video greatly & subscribed. 👍🏻👌🏻
Doing sand first screwed you. My dagger compact was dropped in water, snow, dirt, mud and at one point i fell off a rock and landed directing on it from a drop of like 9 feet. Never failed. I defi itely think the sand really got down in there and cause you lots of issues
I was thinking that too but oh well. I actually think it might be the pmags vs anything.
I picked up one of these off the shoulder of I85 that came from a car running close to 80mph. Probably closer to 90, but anyway, it bounced along, sliding across 2 lanes of traffic, got ran over at least 1x before it eventually made its way onto the shoulder and the next day while at work I came in possession of that dagger. It still runs no issues. Scuffed up a bit but hell I would be to if went thru all that😂😂😂
Holy cow! That was nasty. But also impressive. Still worked in extreme conditions. Especially with those ingress holes on the slide. Try the RIA SKT100 (G17 clone) next.
I like the video however, I feel as if the sand torture test should have been towards the end if not the last test as a end all be all.
Should have done the same test on another gun right here in the same video so that IF another gun could have done better, we see it in real time, side by side. But good video. I’m glad I saw this! Helpful!
If you do another torture test can you try putting a new magazine in a dirty dagger to see if it fails to feed? Just want to know if it was the magazine or the dagger.

I'd try diff mags. Heard the magpuls aren't great
Run theses exact same tests but us a stecatto 2011 . I am curious to see what the difference would be between low price striker fire and higher price hammer fire would be.

Great video torture test. I’m considering buying one since I have quite a few Glocks in my collection. Crazy about the mini dags as they feel better in hand than my G43X s & G48 .. that gives me a light rail.
I hear the glock mags work much better than the pmags.
I wonder who has to go around to all the beaches of the world collecting the tiniest grains for play sand.
Those cuts on the slide also contribute to the failure. Sand, dust, mud, and debris can go in there.
If ur dropping your gun while carrying there is an issue.

I heard the p mag g19 mags jam up a bit more. Have a dagger had some jam ups for a lil while but is going good now.
Fun video but if you wanna grow your channels and ability id suggest investing in a proper safety training and grip training. Your grip was off when shooting and you had your finger on the trigger a few times when you weren’t aiming down range. It was a fun video but i would definitely suggested looking into these things not just to he safer but even improve your aiming

Yeah, these can still be had under 300 frequently. Best value in pistols IMO.

Torture tests are for those preparing for the zombie apocalypse, not for daily carry.
From several deployments to different deserts, I have never dropped my weapons in the sand. But, if I did, It would be cleaned immediately.

I haven’t had any issues with my dagger and I bought 3 pmags 2 Glock mags. All the same regardless of the ammo I run.
Beyond this test (understandably) it's been flawless.
So do not play in the sandbox with your gun. Got it.

PSA- I love these but need beavertails. I can’t shoot my compact and my full size is barely shootable due to slide bite. I were int do a micro when released as much as I want to unless it has an adequate beavertail! Look at the dusk 19 from lone wolf or the shadow systems guns!

the pmags are absolute garbage. i had nothing but problems with it got to the point where it was just launching the rounds out of the mag... tossed it in the garbage and bought three glock mags and the dagger works flawlessly now

I think it looks cool and that's half the fun! I am different than the average gun buyer though. Most of mine will never be carried and only used for videos/fun.

Not sure about you, i dont drop my guns when i carry them. I recommend holding the gun properly
Some of your video views are inconsistent, think you need more tags and make sure they are good. Also thumbnails could use more simplicity and quality, like a clear image without busy background or more of a blur background which gives professional appearance will help. Just a few tips
I appreciate the feedback. Getting views is a mystery. This video has a 7.5% CTR and above average watch time. By all metrics this video should be killing it. For me videos blow up months after release and then similar follow up videos bomb. What's funnier is that when I have one go wild, my other popular videos slow down contrary to what would be expected. I've read long and hard about tags, they are essentially worthless and a hold over from RUclips past.

Try training with 9MM NATO, That's a true torture test....bet that slide shows damage before you finish your first box of 50. One thing they DON'T tell you is it is NOT rated like the Glock they cloned. They say it is +p rated, but they won't last more than 500rds of NATO ammunition. Nephew's Dagger's slide had to be replaced (they did for free) after only 1 mag. The new slide broke at the stop after about 300rds. But for plinking, best bang for the buck. Home defense? NOPE...
In home defense situations only 3 shots max on average ever
