In article from the Ironmind publication Milo, it was written that Rezazadeh's 1 rep max in the front squat was 320 kg, 1 rep max in the back squat, 400 kg.
I was talking with Dursun Sevinc, he told me that he's best in of season (90kg weight) was 310kg front and 400kg back squat. According to video on YT of he's squatting 280kg front in 83kg weight, that might be true numbers.
Taranenko said he stopped doing front squats when he tripled 300. And I'm pretty sure Chemerkin is the strongest OL weightlifter as far as raw strength goes
Yeah normally seeing people lift heavy is fun, but not when it's powerlifting. It's too bad how much that sports sucks and how much it's considered interchangeable with weightlifting. Cricket isn't baseball, rugby isn't football, "world basketball" definitely isn't the NBA and powerlifting has no business being compared to weightlifting. Apples to fucking bowling balls
Question: How can they even train 3 times a day? Like, where is space for regeneration? From my experience, when I squat 4x4 85% 1RM, I can't do any more for next 2 days...
Ilya hitting those heavy singles was fucking nuts. Most people can barely move that fast with an empty bar lol. Surprised there was no Shi Zhiyong, one of the few 'exclusive' front squatters out there today. I'm pretty sure he's hit 260kg at 73kg (maybe slightly over in the off season,) which is 3.5x body weight.
@@WeightliftingHouse Thanks for taking the time to respond Seb. Appreciate the content you put out. Looking forward to the follow-up! As an aside, I really enjoy the whole 'best 'x' lifts' types of videos you and Zack have put out. Have you thought about doing a series on 'best strict presses,' 'best AMRAPs,' things like that? Could be a good side aspect to the news show, and a little less taxing in terms of production, whilst still releasing content.
I saw that old IronMind video of the Bulgarian training session back in the early 2000's back before RUclips existed. Crazy lifts so nonchalant and like it's not even a thing.
I think for larger guys depth looks different than smaller guys. The joints are at the same angle, but the amount of mass can alter the perception of those angles IMO
I think it's just an excuse going on in the powerlifting community that "justifies" the judges white lighting bad lifts just to have records broken in the ongoing meets. If you look at Luke Richardson squats or TD Smash, you can clearly see what depth looks like even with big guys.
how is the squat at 1:20 400kg? There is so much space left on the bar and it seems like he is using bumpers, but I guess i just have to be blind since he clearly did 405 unless those were fake weights.
Yeah guys with legs as freakishly massive like jezza or ray williams honestly have their hamstring and calf muscles fully close the joint basically at parallel depth so any deeper is almost impossible.
Boyanka's front squat she's like some alien 200 kilos. Her power clean ability 145+ alien for sure I thought 180kg for Olga Zubova was impressive.I contacted her years ago she verified 175kg c&j and over 135 snatch. Too bad you can't convert powerlifters to Olympic lifts big deadlift they have but no clean ability no 2nd pull
I feel at this point it's pretty unfair to compare Boyanka to tested lifters (the IPF for instance) and really you should look at the best untested female squats of all time. (Marianna Gasparyan's 220 kg at 56 and 230 kg at 57.7). Also take with a grain of salt those IPF records, in the -57 kg class one of the top lifters Joy Nnamani (UK) has recently hit a 190 kg squat in training. Also the top -63 kg lifter, Lya Bavoil (France) who holds the current IPF squat record at 193 kg in that class has gone on to squat 210 kg at local meets and 215 in the gym.
Those IPF records don't take into account that it's powerlifting and they're not squatting all the way down. Give Boyanka all the gear she wants and go into the meet untested, let her back squat it and only squat to "parallel" (yeah right Dave Hoff). Kostova would likely give you similar if not bigger numbers.
@@jordankroell 1: Boyanka's squats here are not ATG, I'd argue they are hardly any lower than a powerlifting "below parallel". (in a reputable fed, Dave Hoff and his Multi-ply ilk are a terrible example). 2: some weightlifters can't back squat any more than they front squat, as I've never seen of heard of Boyanka going heavier than this, back or front I'm going to assume that's the case with her. 3. it's laughable that anyone would think Boyanka was ever not on drugs, she's been popped twice, and was very likely loaded up on gear during these training lifts. All that said Boyanka is incredible, certainly one of the strongest pound for pound female squatters (and weightlifters for that matter), I just felt that it should be highlighted that there are other women that are closer to her than you might think based on this video.
Weightlifting house, i’m wondering your opinion on ilya ilin and andrei armanov’s use of the oscillation of the bar, shouldn’t all of their lifts been illegal technically?
you put my comment in these video, man i feel important today, thank, i want to buy your book, where can i find it?, 11:40 is a lot weight, she makes a tiny earthquake when she drops the bar
Nice video but that constant reminders about Boyanka's natty status is really unnecessary, we all know that e v e r y o n e in that video or the other with back squats did those numbers on PEDs.... it's not like it's only her. And her taking whatever doesn't matter when you see that 200 kg front squat at ~60 kg bw, just inhuman 100%. Also, numbers comparisons with IPF are not that inappropriate, some people just need to put down that rose-tinted glasses....
way too much commentary on who "got popped" or who is tested or not tested. Are we being so naive as to think that those who didnt "get popped" were actually clean?

Even unracking 400 kgs in the front is a ridiculous feat. Squatting it is incomprehensible really
Untracked 300 in front rack for 2-3 seconds and was about to pass out and i weight over 90kg.

You could have mentioned Derek Kendall's 373kg and 363kg fronts squats as well because you included Jezza from powerlifting side of strength sports.
Hampton Morris hit 193kg in April this year. Weighing 61 as a 17 year old! Love the content
YEAH JEZZA IS A TANK AND WE WILL SEE HIS COMEBACK NEXT YEAR I GUESS
He has retired
Yeah thats True but He s geting leaner and healthier I would guess that he will get another shot at powerlifting 😀

Holding 405kg in a cross armed front squat. WTF!?
Dudes shoulders are made out of titanium lol
Love Ivan's narrow stance front squat! My hips are built that way as well.
LIAO HUI (69kg) front squatting 260kg at amazing speed is not here!?!?
He used fake weights for this particular front squat. His real PR is still a monstrous 255 however.
Jezza all healed up is awesome to watch
Jezza and his crew occasionally go into the gym my brother lifts out of. The numbers those Nauru boys put up are mental.

That has to be the most consecutive lifts without a miss in Tian Tao's life!
